October 26, 2016-Today I had the opportunity to use the Lawrence Transit System that goes into Lowell. Since I have been in Boston for the past few days I have used the metro and uber, which were great, but starting to add up. I do not know the roads well enough to drive. So I thought to use the transit system I got to where I was going ok but coming back I transposed the numbers and took the wrong bus. I found that out when I asked the driver when he would be arriving in Tewksbury. He said he was going to The Burlington Mall and it was no where near Tewksbury. The bus driver got on his pa system and put a call out to another bus driver asking his location. My bus driver proceeded to tell the other bus driver he was dropping me off and I needed to go back to where I came from so I could get the correct bus. I was dropped off by Sals Pizza and directed to flag the bus driver down. Within ten minutes, which seemed longer because it was 42 degrees, the bus driver arrived and picked me up. I thanked her and then heard her get on the pa system and tell another driver I picked up your passenger you were suppose to pick up. Awesome! She transported me back to where I came from. My bus arrived and I got on and told him I took the wrong bus. He said "I heard all about it" pointing to the pa system. They went above and beyond the call of duty. Awesome. I also had the privilege to take route 110 and see the magnificent beauty of th Merrimack River that runs along part of the city of Lowell...breath taking beautiful!!! Thank you! read more
