That was the marked price, but said it was a mistake and it's illegal to sell alcohol below wholesale price in Massachusetts. I looked it up later, it's not true. Today I got into a stupid beef with one of the people working there who was being a jerk. And I *never* get into beefs with people. He suggested I didn't have to shop there if don't want to, I told him it was a damn fine idea, probably the best idea he's had in quite a while and walked out. I will not be returning.

Upon entering, it is a very small shop and I don't know if it was the owner or what... But he literally kept asking me if I needed help. And I told him I was all set. I was seeing what I could work with. But it's like nobody is allowed to think and take a second. Then his son came out and asked me if I needed help... and I said no thank you. And so the son just stared at me. So frustrated, I purchased just one bottle as I felt uncomfortable and didn't want to be in the store anymore. Before I even fully made it to the register, he's asking me for id... almost as if I wasn't of age (which I get often, but especially if I'm taking my time). When I visited, Zero Gravity Brewing was having a tasting where the sales rep was so knowledgeable about the brewery, Vermont (where the brewery is located) and beer as a whole. I was over the moon to find this epic collaboration brew from Outer Range Brewing x Tripping Animals x Other Half x Ology and it was incredible! Definitely worth a stop in if you're in the area and looking for a bottle of wine or liquor, craft beer or a non-alcoholic option!

Average: while the store is very open about being Italian wine focused, that's tough to swallow as it's super, super narrow in focus. I love Italian wine but I rarely go out of my way to buy just Italian wine and that has held me from shopping here more. The prices are local store retail type prices. Not tons of value. Bad: the staff is often pretty inattentive.

The cashiers barely open their mouths. I've never heard a "thank you" or a "you're welcome" in all my time there. They barely can mutter the price of your items. I'm sorry if dodgeball was tough for them in high school but I still expect some courtesy. Just last week I watched one of the old dudes (the one who looks like he came back from a Sam Elliott look alike contest) bump into a customer and not apologize. Not only that but the customer who I would assume is a decent human being apologized to the bearded loser and the bearded loser had some snarky remark under his breath. I went back tonight (Friday November 7), though, and despite two employees (a heavier man with a goatee and a woman with bangs and glasses, both middle-aged) working, I was in the store for ten minutes looking around without either of them saying a word to me, despite both of them coming within five feet of me. Not a "how are you?" "can I help you find anything?" "I'll be right with you". Literally nothing. There was only one other customer in the store in that time -- I put my bottles back and walked out. If the owners/managers read this, definitely worth talking to these two -- I've spent plenty here in the past, and customer service this poor was a big turn-off tonight.
