recently started coming to MB Salon and will go for as long as I live. I never leave disappointed and the prices are unmatchable. They do a great job every single time. The hospitality is AMAZING. Definitely recommend read more

The owner knows the reason for my rating. After several visits and several dollars later, I feel tricked and literally robbed at my last visit. Unfortunately, it only takes one horrible experience to ruin the entire relationship that had been formed. Carpe Diem. read more

Went for a hair wash only due to medical procedure preventing me to shower. The price online was reasonable but when I got there it was no longer affordable. But what could I do? Explained my medical situation and it was reduced to under $30 from $40 and I was verbally encouraged to tip. It was not a pleasant experience especially since I was trying to heal over medical experience. I was very discouraged and definitely will not return. read more

Charged me $700 for highlights that looked terrible!!! Scam place. Don't go here. The work they do doesn't match the prices they charge. Definitely not high end work. read more

Stopped in for a much needed haircut while I was in town visiting family and it was honestly the best haircut I've ever had in my adult life!! Not only is this place affordable and clean but they really listen to what the customer wants. Also worth mentioning the fantastic scalp massage they give was so relaxing. The lady cutting my hair was also so nice and she had a tray of snacks waiting for me. So sad I won't have someone like her in my town but I will definitely be back again when I'm in town. If you want a fantastic experience and great haircut I highly recommend this place! read more

2nd time there and can't believe Mandy was able to fix my color! I actually was considering a wig until my natural color grew out. I've even been wearing a baseball hat every time I've gone out. Well....I just put the hat in my closet and forget about a wig. All thanks to Mandy! My regret is not finding her sooner! read more

Love that they treat you so respectfully and tell you everything up front. They listen to what you want and over deliver. I enjoy my time and come out looking and feeling great! If you are concerned about price then go to the other guys. read more

God there is no 0 star option... Where to start - just wanted a keratin treatment for my hair which was long and dry. Went into MB saloon and took the $70 option of "cheap keratin treatment" (in words of miss M). As for the treatment - miss M stated it would be 40 minutes treatment that they'll take care, but for the actual treatment they applied keratin mask and made me sit alone in steam for 40 mins - literally only 5 to 8mins of effort from them. Now for the results - I was promised that this would possible recover some damage and make my hair silky and it would last for atleast for 5 hair washes. They did blow dry after last wash but only very minimal and asked me not to shampoo wash my hair atleast for 5 days - so that the treatment result will last - complete contradiction of what they mentioned during the start. Most messed up thing is that, only after 2 hours of the treatment my hair had already gone compete dry like literally worse than the state it was before. I've done keratin treatment in the past and usually after treatment hair would very silky but now my hair is completely dry, very rough and even the scalp got dried. First thing I'm gonna do after this rant review is to wash my hair of any of that remaining shit they put on. I wouldn't suggest them for keratin hair care treatment and I guess not any other hair care treatment as well, whereas they might be good at the basic of hair dressing cutting, I saw a customer going happy after hair cut from Mr B. To MB saloon, please don't provide under quality treatment/procedure!!!! read more

I booked an appointment online for my son to get a perm. The online price is $99, and charged my son $200 they said because of length and thickness. My sons hair is less than two inches long and he only got a perm on the top of his head. They took complete advantage of him. he has been getting perms for two years now and has never been charged over $100. I would never recommend this place or go back here. read more

Update: so after my negative review, instead of apologizing and inviting me back to their shop for a correction, they denied everything that happened andsaid that I'm not a customer? Way to lose more customers and show bad business. They used razor and they never use any sort of heat protection for my hair. You've been warned. read more

My boyfriend got a perm here and got charged an excessive amount of $$ for a mid ass perm.. We wanted to try a new place since the place he usually goes to is far away.., but with the pricing and everything, it's better to just drive the 30-45 mins for better quality and cheaper.. the lady doing his hair wasn't very friendly either .., read more

the owners of this salon are world class! Helped saved my damaged hair. It was stressful going to a new hairdresser, but they have been excellent. Both are kind and provide wonderful service. They also provide tea, treats and even noodle soup (which was a life saver since I didn't eat lunch). Great service! read more

Mandy did a great job on my haircut today. She made me coffee before hand and explained exactly what she was going to do with the haircut which made me feel comfortable and also like I was getting my moneys worth for a haircut. And she did exactly as she said she was going to do and I really love the hair cut it feels and looks so much better. Thank you Mandy! read more

Great service, they used to be at a different location off 112th and Canyon Road. I followed their service because they are so great. Now my mom likes to come here too. Great eyebrows service, nails and hair cut with color too. They are always friendly and never had to wait very long for service either. Prices are great and affordable for the high end service. Parking is available too, handicap parking right at the door. Totally recommend this place. read more

yes exactly you cut my hair and didn't listen when I told you no when I told you not to cut my hair even if it was uneven, you scammed me out of $250 and you did not deny that you don't buy your perm kits online when they are purchased for $8 at Amazon. If I would have known you were using an Amazon $8 perm kit I would have NOT signed anything. That's the whole reason why I signed the waiver was because I thought you guys were using your own products, my hair did not last 2 days curly so yes we want a refund. There is no false statement here, I was the client NOT my girlfriend she was there with me, you kept insisting you do something to her hair, when she said no multiple times. You took my phone away from her hand that way you can do the transaction yourself. So I want my refund. read more

Don't go to this business please. Overcharging their customers for poor quality. I went here with my girlfriend who got robbed $250 for a perm. The perm product they used was just Quantum Perm kit solutions that you can purchase for $8 on amazon nothing special or salon quality for $250?!!! Also, my girlfriend has really short hair above her ears (don't know how that would be $250?!!) Mandy whom I assume is the owner kept calling my girlfriend a boy even when I kept saying she. Her whole vibe was just to get every dollar out of us as she could telling me she wanted to do my highlights and asked who did my hair which I had just got done a week prior. My girlfriend's Zelle wasn't working after a few tries so I was trying to help and figure out the issue, Mandy just grabbed her phone out of my hands invading privacy and kept trying to send it herself on my girlfriend's phone. Very uncomfortable and unprofessional. I suggested to use card because Zelle is not working, but she said she didn't want to use card because they get charged for card transactions. So I'm like ok I'll use mine and it goes through. To add she rushed my girlfriend to sign some sort of contract before the perm and didn't even let her read it. Honestly wished we would've walked out the moment she said $250, but didn't and got scammed for sure!! Just want to warn others. Seen some similar reviews and poor response from Mandy claiming false statements but I have pictures of the Zelle transaction and pictures of my girlfriend's hair before and after looking the same!! Mandy knows what she's doing because she's had alot of complaints and people wanting refunds she just tries to cover them up with false statements allegations. read more

I highly recommend this salon! Mandy & Ben are a great team and I have always loved the color! I just got extensions and I'm very happy with them! They go above and beyond for customers read more

Mandy is wonderful. I've now been getting my hair done by her for 5 years and I love it each time. She has taken extra steps for her customers safety during this covid time, dividers between stations, temperature checks, frequent cleaning, and ensuring everyone wears a mask. I feel well taken care of and each time I come in its a chance to get pampered. I completely disagree with the girl that gave her a 1 star review. She came in with badly damaged hair, its unlikely it could've been corrected to her satisfaction. And then refusing to pay, gettinf the police involved? Appears to be a scammer. I've recommended Mandy and Ben to quite a few friends. Many have been getting their hair done by her for as long as I have:-) read more

I was able to get an appointment the same day! My hair was overdue and needed much love. Mandy and Ben worked together. The finished result was fabulous. They have all kinds of goodies they will try to feed you and treat you very kindly. I will be going back for my shellac manicure and full facial service very soon! Highly recommend you go to MB Salon! read more

Very disappointed in my first ever eye lash extension appt with Ben. 100 is a lot to spend for me, I was so looking forward to having full long dark lashes and that's not what i got at all. They started falling off that day and now barely there and it's only been 6 days. I'm doing everything the paper said and not rubbing them or getting water on my eyes or anything. Won't be back and do not recommend. Bummed I wasted my money on this place. read more

So yesterday I was excited my husband called and offered to pay to have my hair dyed and styled I was a happy girl ! I called and everyone was booked except one place ... this would be MB hair salon .. I had a 1:30 appointment for me and my daughter she got a basic hair cut . I got there and was basically ignored until almost 3pm (I know I should have ran at that point) finally a man starts to work on my hair I was there to get balayage lighten my roots and bring down my natural color . 1st attempt my roots were orange like chucky orange super orange almost red ! I was told that my hair came out red since only "white girls can achieve blonde " and that didn't feel right . My ends are blonde so I didn't understand so she had her husband throw a dark brown almost black on my roots and I was assured it wouldn't look grey / dark blonde any how it looked black as night ! So I'm going to post before and after all taken same day to show you guys . I was texting with my husband and was getting upset these people kept trying to convince me this looked amazing as I felt crazy ... then my husband comes to save the day he tells them HER HAIR NOW LOOKS THE SAME AS IT DID WHEN SHE FIRST GOT HERE !! The owners disagree saying my hair is amazing completely made over and is exactly what hat I wanted (not true ) I'm very shy and try to be nice so I didn't want to start problems but as a small business owner myself I expect to get what I ask for or to be told they can't if it's too hard . Any how my husband is pist to see me so upset gets into a yelling match with the employees tells them he's not paying and they say if you don't pay I'm dying your wife's whole hair black !!! WTF !!! So I'm crying inconsolably I'm just upset and now they call the police. I wait husband waits we agree to pay for a haircut for my girl was nice they did good on her hair but I literally looked exactly as I did when I walked in if not slightly worse !! And the cops arrive and suggest we just pay half the costs so I do to avoid more drama so I get the money to avoid more drama !! So I found someone to fix my hair and hair i have to pay another almost $400 plus the $150 I was charged at MB salon (half what they charged ) and I'm just so upset like can you guys tell me if I'm legit a crazy person or does my hair look the same !?!?!? And I'm sorry if I offend anyone or make any one upset If this is your salon . Oh and the crazy thing .. I'm going to lacey to get this fixed the person fixing my hair just got a person who's hair was burnt / melted off by MB SALON that she had to repair as well isn't it a small world please be aware I'm just trying to save another person from this terrible terrible experience I had to deal with . Overall prices were unreasonably high and I felt I was being nicked and dimed to death . Sorry I never like to be negative but this is super unfair I paid 150$ (half of what I was being charged) to look just as I did before I was worked in here now my hair is super damaged with no results my sister actually asked me "I though you went to have your hair done you were gone for 5 hours !! " super unfair! read more

Hands down the best eyebrow waxing of my life! Ben is who to ask for specifically. I live in Steilacoom and will willingly drive out here just for him. They are open late but will stay open for you. Small little place...wonderful and comfy! And there is a TV so you can watch TV too! I saw Wheel of Fortune. It's like going over to your friends house to get your hair done! read more

I called the day before the 4th of July and they had an opening. We got there and they were more than welcoming, starting right on our wash and trims. Very professional service, good convo, and funny kind people. Many services here, and of such quality that we both decided to get manicures done on top! Color selection was great, they took their time for quality yet were fast enough that there was little wait. Prices are appropriate, but don't come here if you're on a tight budget and just want the bare minimum. Mandy and Ben were gracious and personable. 12/10 will be coming again! read more

Awesome couple! Love my hair! Binh did such a great job, and really took his time. Would definitely come back again!

Mandy and her husband are the best at hospitality and making their customers feel like family. Reasonable prices, clean. They are fast and efficient. They offer beverages as you wait and for longer appointments they provide a light snack. Love them.. If you want quality with a family type atmosphere these are the professionals that you should go see. There is nothing better than a husband and wife tag team duo!!! read more

My husband cuts his hair at the lions den next door and I've been wondering about this salon. So I walked over and walked in. Mandy and her husband were so welcoming. Asked me what I needed done and they did it right away. I love how they team work together especially on my hair because I have too much. I love their work and prices are affordable. Mandy will actually ask you how much are you willing to spend and then work with what you got. I highly recommend Mandy at MB salon read more

I went to take my 14yo disabled son for a simple haircut At the Kings Den. Initially, they said I need to call to make an appointment (which I understood & was fine with). I called, made appointment for 1:30pm. Upon my return, there was one man sitting down watching football & when I said we were here for our 1:30 appointment, he said he didn't see us on the books. Which I found odd as we had just been there an hour & a 1/2 earlier. He refused us service! I couldn't believe it as he was the only one in the shop. He clearly didn't want to work! I saw there was another salon in the same establishment called "MB Salon". I walked in, asked if the only person (Mandy) could take my son & she greeted us with open arms & told us to come right in! Needless to say, she will be getting our business again when I'm in the area. Thank you for turning my attitude around Mandy AND for the Vietnamese coffee that was so yummy! read more

So........ I went to M a long time ago and she did real good! And she was so fast! However this time, it was not the same. I'm glad I didn't buy a Groupon because I wouldn't have been able to use it since I used it my first time and apparently it's only for new customers (I read that after I left, so I take fault on that) but again, glad I didn't buy it. Her haircuts start at $18+ but when she was going through my hair and evaluating she told me 45-50 ( on Groupon it states $35) so I was confused when I asked her why she told me "if you want me to do a good job I have to plan" when I asked her about the $18 one she told me "only for trim". Then when I told her nevermind I'll go to my other lady she asked me "why? You can't afford it?" I was speechless. It was just kind of unprofessional and I won't return to her. She does good work from what I experienced the first time but she's just so up and down with prices and it's not consistent. The reviews you see on Groupon are believable now. read more

I walked in for a quick haircut and they definitely delivered and the pricing was great. I had the intentions that I would have to schedule and come back but they helped me right away. They had little TVs to watch so we watched a pretty cool documentary and made small talk. The guy cut my hair. I explained once how I wanted it and he did it better than I was wanting. The lady was helping another lady but she seemed just as friendly. You could tell they were energetic and passionate about what they do. My nana owned a salon and I've only ever had her do my hair my entire life. Since my nana passed, I needed to step out and find a place. Seeing them happy, energetic and passionate about their salon calmed my nerves. If I still lived in the state, they'd be my regular place. If they ever read this review, you have no idea of your impact. No one besides my nana has ever ever cut my hair. And well, I was extremely nervous and it took me weeks of looking at yelp reviews to find the right place and even work up the nerves to go. I went with here since it seemed like a small family owned kind of place. I wasn't disappointed. Thank you so much. read more
