In the beginning we had some trouble with the person who came out for an estimate getting back to me when he said he would. I was able to handle this by being proactive in calling back when they didn't reach out on the time table they had set. However, we got the job scheduled at, what I considered to be a reasonable price for 2 days of labor. The 2 men who came out did an excellent job and there turned out to not be as much to remove as we thought so it only took them most of 1 day. Chris graciously adjusted the estimate to a lower price due to the labor estimate being a bit off. This tells me Mid-Iowa Environmental is an ethical contractor. I would highly recommend them for residential needs based on this experience.

The price was very competitive compared to other mitigation services in this area. One flat rate is quoted after a free estimate that took about 30 minutes. The mitigation system itself is more-or-less a pvc pipe the runs from the basement floor to the roof on the outside of the house. Not very attractive. However, Pete placed he pipe in the most discrete locations of the house. This caused him a little more work but was happy to accommodate my request when other contractors would not.
