I made multiple good-faith attempts to resolve this directly before disputing the charge. This experience reflects poor internal communication and refusal to correct a clear error. They also operate under the name Liberty Bell Fuel Oil.

So I agreed for Adam's to come by knowing of their $120 feet.I had been doing some construction next to the emergency cut off switch & not realized I must had hit the switch. Adam's company saw the switch off when they came in and asked if I turned off the switch. They turned on the switch & everything was working again. They told me a lot of people turn it off not knowing. I was thankful that it wasn't any major. I wasn't happy that they charged me an additional $60 for labor. $180 for being at my house for less than 5 min. Then had the nerve to ask me if I wanted to clean my furnace for $412. I will NEVER use this company again. Straight greed!

Here's why: From the replacement of our heat pump in 2017 or 2018 (I can't remember), we have never had a job done that didn't require a follow up because of a mistake or an oversight in the service. Most recently, our heat pump wasn't switching back and forth from heat to cooling with the changing season. We called to get service. I was at work when the technician arrived, but he charged my wife over $100 to replace the air filter claiming that was the problem when we had mentioned in the initial call there was a problem with the compressor. It wasn't the air filter. The problem continued. On a return visit, I recreated the problem for the technician (incredibly nice guy, for what it's worth) and he came to the conclusion that a piece in the compressor needed some lubricant. The store to pick up that lubricant was closed, so he would pick some up and return another day. We never heard another word. So why three stars? My heart says this is a 2 star review. The guys do know what they are talking about, and, judging by other reviews, we seem to be an anomaly. It is why we continued to give them chance after chance for the past 5 years. I am tacking on that bonus star because the technicians that come out are incredibly nice and always answer my questions when I have them and I like that quality. Unfortunately life is getting just a little too busy to keep following up every time they come out and the job isn't complete, so we're going to look for someone who will get it right on the first try.

First visit they ran all the wiring, lines and drain before drywall -- and didn't even take a deposit. Second time they installed both units and protected the indoor unit with plastic and cardboard so the painters wouldn't damage it. They took half the payment then. Final visit, after painting was done, they finished everything, started the system up, and I paid the rest. The same two guys -- Leo and Alex -- did all three visits. They were super professional and respectful. They always parked on the street instead of my driveway, wore shoe covers, and were very careful with my dog. I even bought them lunch twice because they were that nice. Everything turned out great. The room looks beautiful and the system works perfectly. Highly recommend EMCO Tech.

They returned several times to make sure the installation was a success. As most experts will tell you: A new boiler will inevitably have an issue or two. Our boiler had no real issues, and we've been happy since installation. Everything works great. I'm writing the review now because I've just called EMCO Tech for yearly cleaning/servicing (which was, again, half the price of other companies). The woman on the phone assured us that they do. The first thing the hvac gentlemen said is "we don't really work on these oil heaters". When i said to him that we specifically asked the woman about it he told us "she's just dispatch". We were told that the soot needed to be cleaned(over $2700), they may need to remove the wall to do it which would cost more, and they don't replace the wall if they take it down. Then after all of that, they would be able to diagnose what is actually wrong with the heater, if its something more than a cleaning. If you live in Levittown, don't walk...run! You might as well throw your $150 in a hole and call someone else. Benjamin Franklin came out and hour later and fixed it for $417.

He found a few issues with the system and replaced the refrigerant. The unit started to work again. About 30 hours later, the same problem occurred. Steve found a leak in the system and worked with his manager to locate the part. Unfortunately, the part was back-ordered. There was no target date for our unit to be repaired. The day this occurred, the temperatures went to 100 degrees. Not willing to wait or to put more money into the problem, we contacted Rob who put together a quote and sent it to us in about 2 hours. I ask him when he needed to know the model we wanted to install, and he told us by the next morning at 8: 00 am. My husband and I called Rob's mobile phone at 8:00 am. We told him that we expected that the HVAC unit would be installed by end of business that day. Much to my surprise, Rob said that the two units we were interested in were available locally. Not only that, he said that he pulled two guys from a new construction installation, and if I looked out my window, I would see two trucks outside waiting for him to tell them to come to our door to begin to dismantle the existing unit. I quickly went to our front window and they were there! Wow, now that was impressive! Not only that, Rob stopped at the distribution center on his way to the office and was at the site to pick up the unit that we decided on! Also pretty impressive. The installation was flawless. The three guys were great, professional, and efficient. I highly recommend McLoughlin for HVAC units. My expectations were extremely high, one might even say unrealistic.
