I ordered a beef taco, two cheese enchiladas and rice and beans from Uber Eats on Saturday. I wanted to buy myself a nice Mother's Day meal and watch a movie. My order got delivered and right away I noticed they forgot my favorite thing... rice and beans :( I went to pick up my beef taco and it fell apart in my lap due to how mushy it was. Annoyed at this point I went to eat the cheese enchiladas. Praying these would be good enough to overlook my disappointment. Nope, these were even worse. They were wet almost as if someone sprayed them down with water. I threw the whole thing away. I tried contacting UE and they're trying to only refund me for the rice and beans. A whopping $2.80 I tried to add on to my message about the other food but it wouldn't let me. I'm beyond frustrated and disappointed. I'll never use Uber Eats again after this. As far as the mazatlan goes. I will only go in person to the one in Bonney Lake. Not Auburn or Puyallup. read more

Amazing food. Very attentive servers. Great cocktail selections. I like that there is lots of places to sit that feel private. Nice decor. I've been going here since my 1st birthday and I'm 25 now the atmosphere is just as it used to be but in a warm close to home type of feeling not an outdated way. The rice and beans always hit the spot for me and they have super tasty salsa I always get some to go. If you're looking for Mexican food in auburn it's definitely worth going here plus the owner is awesome his parents used to own it but have passed away but I had so many fond memories of them. The service is always good I've never had a bad experience here definitely would recommend this location over there other locations read more

I am just not a huge fan of this place, everything seems sticky in there. Server is really nice and funny and very helpful! Food are decent, I wouldn't say it's the best but it's ok, but again feels like the food is not very fresh. I got a nachos, the chips very soaked and became very soft. We have been wanting to try this place since it is super close by and we always crave good food. I placed a phone order for pick up. Got to the place and asked for the name and they had my food. When paying, they took my debit card to the back to charge me. It wasn't where I could see and sometimes it nice when you can see them charge your card so you never feel like they're stealing information. Maybe it is only one place to charge people ? Not sure. But maybe have it visible when charging or at least let us know why you're taking it to the back. Food wise, I'm kind of disappointed. I was expecting more flavor in the food and meat. It seemed like it wasn't enough seasoning. It was to the point where we probably should've got Taco Bell instead. Portion wise, it was plenty. Not sure if we'll be back. read more

Got a tortilla filled with soggy refried beans but not actual pinto beans as would normally be contained in a burrito. No rice. No cheese. Despite being sold and promised a bean and cheese burrito. They stopped bringing water after the first mini glass refill and the restaurant was not busy. Lots of staff not a lot of customers that I could see but maybe our view was blocked. Very very disappointed. Won't be back. Burrito was $9 for a kids meal.... They hassled me and told me no then changed their mind about ordering a kids meal. The refried beans were good and so was the guacamole. The worst thing is we spend $80 and I left hungry! Very small portion had to ask for chips and salsa twice and still Left hungry. My girl friend got enchiladas and they were good just not the rice no flavor at all, this is not an Exaggeration. Drinks were good. The menus were very dirty, salsa was dripped inside the menus from the previous customers the restaurant it self looked clean and the restrooms were clean. I won't be coming back to this Mazatlán. Tonight I went and had dinner which was good. Chicken enchiladas, rice and beans. Rice was a smidge overdone, chips were given and not many were given. If you want seconds you pay for it. No hot sauce on the table I'm assuming people steal it. I ordered a chicken burrito to go for my daughter she found a short black hair in her food, not hers. When I ordered I said just a burrito only, got the meal. I'm going to call let them know a hair was found. Of course she didn't finish her meal and it's going in the garbage. I don't blame her that's nasty! Update: Called the girl who answered phone said she would let the people in the back know about the hair..... thanks! I have taken the drinks to one star because for me they can't right. Because I am a somewhat regular I kept giving them chances. Today was the final straw. I have talk many time about my order being wrong and promised it will be fixed and it never has. Yesterday I orders a beef burrito and only 1/2 had meat. I ordered food from this restaurant through Doordash. The food took so long to make, the driver got there and was waiting at the restaurant for an extra 20 minutes past than what was promised. I understand they might have been busy, so we overlooked the wait time. At first I was impressed by the packaging presentation when it arrived at my doorstep. It came in a clean sealed bag and good platter covers. But I was not so impressed when we opened the packaging. We ordered a Chile Relleno, fried chicken burrito and an enchilada combo. The serving size was disappointing and should have been at least half a size bigger if not double than what we got, considering the prices we paid for the plates on the app. The Chile Relleno was flat and tasted like scrambled eggs. The fried burritos were still yellow and not even golden brown. Inside the burritos, there was nothing but dry shredded chicken. Called in an hour and half for a pick up order and was given a piece of 35$. When I arrived I was charged 50$ and I had to wait an extra 20 minutes. When the food came out it was a completely different order. I asked for my original order they said they never got an order for it and they couldn't do anything about it. It's obvious that the dish was prepared in advance and reheated prior to delivery as the chicken and shrimp were rubbery, the shrimp was tail on, smolder in cheese so I was caught off guard when I found myself chewing on shrimp shells. It was also lukewarm. We then ordered our meals and it took over 30 minutes for them to arrive. I live in Tacoma but work in Auburn. Mazatlan is my fave mexican spot in Tacoma. The chicken taquitos are all I get. I was happy to see this one in Auburn. I got the taquitos to go and they skimped me! Came with 6 pieces instead of the usual 8! I paid 13 bucks for those...and they weren't as good as the other ones I go to. First Mexican in Seattle I've had where the margaritas are NOT made from scratch. I even asked our waitress if they were made from a mix or made fresh and she told me they were fresh! At $9 a marg (Patron), they were the nasty day-glo pre made powder style drinks that make you gag slightly after each sip. Typically I use Patron to avoid the headache/nausea that follows a terribly made marg, but one drink and I was home in bed clutching my pillow. What a way to spend an afternoon. The food: I ordered the ceviche, to which I requested no onions. They got that right! The portions were huge. However, it was bland, and I couldn't eat much of it. We reserved a table for six in advance of a theatre visit in downtown Auburn, and there is much to like about Mazatlan. The location, a somewhat run-down strip mall, does not look especially inviting, but once you enter, you discover a huge venue full of locals, and a diligent and helpful waitstaff. They brought us chips, salsa, and water immediately, and we browsed the enormous menu. It is pretty standard fare, and the only disappointment was that there is no black-bean option on the sides. Service was brisk, the food was hot and delicious, and our waitperson had a wonderful sense of humor, which made each encounter a pleasure. Prices were also about what you'd expect for the selection. We have no complaints whatsoever. If you are looking for the usual Tex-Mex options, Mazatlan is fine. read more
