I've been coming here since the early 90's and always love the food. Moved to Arizona 7 years ago and each trip back I make this restaurant my first food stop. My favorites are the chile Colorado burrito and the chicken ala crema with extra flour tortillas! The owners are wonderful and I'm trying to convince them to put a restaurant in Arizona. It always feels like home here.

I ordered the the combination Chile Relleno and burrito (with pork) #9 I believe.

This place is still open even for takeout. I loved that my food was wrapped up so secure it didn't spill everywhere in my car on the ride home. They were so gracious and nice on the phone when taking my order. My food was ready in 10 minutes! That's one thing I always loved about this place! Food is quick and sooooo good. Bottomless chips and salsa when I could eat inside but they hooked it up with the salsa in my takeout order. Prices are reasonable, food is great, and service has always been top notch here.

Arroz con camarones. On the side there is a tortilla chip where I put the veins from the shrimp in cleaned.

The service was great but I think that all restaurants should be required to serve devein shrimp. For the price they charge this should be a requirement.I don't know about others but I don't like to chew on sand and who knows what else is in the shrimp vein.

I had the Picadilly Burritto and it wad pretty good. I asked for some heat and the flavor was good. My belly is full and I'm satisfied.

100% Authentic Mexican. Food 10/10. Service 10/10. Ambiance 10/10. Outside sitting. Parking…read moreavailable. Super clean. My wife found this gem using Yelp, so I shed a happy tear :') . We all had an amazing time. It's so good that local celebrities like Eric Miller (Timbers' #15) was there dining while we were enjoying our food. SERVICE Zoe's amazing service is worth calling out, first highlight of our dinner. She was happy, funny, sprinkled zesty remarks that made us laugh, brought food fast, recommended great dishes, clarified all of our questions - Precisely what one expects from the warm Mexican server. It would be unfair to not mention the rest of the staff, it's just that Zoe was the unapologetically the best. FOOD Just the highlights from everything we had: - Chilaquiles Tarascos ($18.99) + Egg ($4): Our measuring stick for Mexican food authenticity, so we ignored how pricey they were for chilaquiles. These are chips in salsa topped with meat and egg. The way they make this dish sets the bar high for all other Mexican restaurants! - Machete con Carne ($18): Delicious giant taco with hand-made corn tortilla, cheese and up to 2 meats of your choice This is what I ordered based on Zoe's recommendation. I'm a 6'2" 215 lbs. man and I felt that I shouldn't have eaten the whole thing, BUT I DID! - Horchata: ($6.2): You'll taste the rice and the cinnamon, like the one Abüelitas in Mexico make. - House Made Flan ($6.99): You'll taste the egg in this flan. I can hear the chef yelling to the cooks in the kitchen when they're making this: "¡Con huevos!" - Café de Olla: ($6.20): AUTHENTIC MEXICAN Coffee! This is not a novelty you find on Instagram where lattes are poured on pastries, no. This is THE REAL DEAL. AMBIANCE We sat outside, the weather calls for it. Simple wooden picnic tables to enjoy the weather, not much needed. It was a difficult decision because inside the decor is BEAUTIFUL. - Outside: About 6 picnic tables sitting 6 people each. - Inside: About 6 or 7 tables for 2, and 3 booths for 6 and 4 tables for 4 people. - Parking: On the street and a small parking lot for about 5 vehicles. CLOSING THOUGHTS This business is doing everything right by representing Mexican culture. They're not adding American cheese just for the sake of catering to a certain demographic. They're hiring people who can speak Spanish from Mexico to provide a great service and experience. You can see the LOVE that the owner(s) are pouring into this business, if you see their taco trucks (I saw 2 parked in their parking lot) or need catering, do yourself a favor and try them. Visited on a Friday evening around 6PM. The enchiladas were delicious! The sauce had a hint of…read moresweetness that was quite flavorful. No fountain sodas, can sodas, or bottles. Our server was very slow in bringing our first (maybe 5-10 min) and second (maybe 10-15 min) round of drinks. A younger man stopped by our table several times asking what we needed, but failed to bring anything. The server seemed unaware that he was also asking for our orders. Overall, the food was good, the service wasn't.

I really should have stopped there. They were very filling. I don't know what I was expecting but they are potato taquitos and topped with meat. A good amount of it too. The bummer is that it did not travel well. When I fit home I ate the crispy ends off but has the middles as leftovers. Almost like chilaquiles. The pork taco was very good. I like the microgreens on it. I was hoping the tortilla was fluffier but can't argue with handmade tortillas The fish taco was put together well but I am not a big fan of chipotle. It was glazed in chipotle and the slaw was chipotle so I was not a fan. For the size and quality the price is right. On par with any decent taco place around.

Ambience: The decor is colorful and vibrant without feeling overwhelming. It has that perfect balance of lively but still comfortable. It works for date night or mom's night out. The energy feels warm and inviting. Service: The servers were attentive, friendly, and efficient. Food came out quickly, but nothing felt rushed. You can tell they care about the experience. Food: The margaritas were simple but outstanding -- refreshing, balanced, and not overly sweet. The fried chayote completely surprised me. If you've never had chayote, it's a mild, slightly crisp squash. Here, it was fried golden and light with a tender bite inside. The dipping sauce was incredibly flavorful -- bold, savory, and layered. Every bite honestly punched my taste buds in the best way possible. Nothing bland here. We also ordered the braised beef taquitos, and wow. Crispy on the outside, filled with potatoes, and topped with flavorful delicious beef on top and clearly made fresh to order. Everything tasted vibrant and well-seasoned. Overall, ambience, service, and food were all top tier. We'll definitely be back.
