The habanero salsa has some heat on it! The chicken taco was delicious, the fish taco wasn't great (3/5). Everything else about the tacos was delicious. I'd been on a bit of a food bender. I got carried away at an overpriced sushi restaurant the night before so I was riding high on over ordering. I got the braised beef taquitos. I really should have stopped there. They were very filling. I don't know what I was expecting but they are potato taquitos and topped with meat. A good amount of it too. The bummer is that it did not travel well. When I fit home I ate the crispy ends off but has the middles as leftovers. Almost like chilaquiles. The pork taco was very good. I like the microgreens on it. I was hoping the tortilla was fluffier but can't argue with handmade tortillas The fish taco was put together well but I am not a big fan of chipotle. It was glazed in chipotle and the slaw was chipotle so I was not a fan. For the size and quality the price is right. On par with any decent taco place around. read more

We love this place for dinner and just tried their brunch and it was excellent! Pork taco was delicious with the freshly made tortilla. My boyfriend got the chepo cakes and I ended up eating a lot of them before they were so good. Great texture and different from regular pancakes. The chilaquiles were nice and crunchy and they give you a large portion. What I love most about coming here is their salsas. They are actually spicy!!! They're not only spicy though, they have great flavor. They were pretty busy when we showed up. They said a 30 minute wait but it was only 10 minutes which was nice. I've been here a few times. I ordered the Braised Beef Taquitos (5 stars) during each visit. It included a generous portion of delicious shredded beef on top of the potato filled taquitos. I usually only eat two of the four taquitos. I also liked the pickled onions. I liked the Citrus Pork Taco (4 stars) more than the Rib Eye Taco (2 stars). The dishes were seasoned well, and I don't think they need the extra salsas. My son liked the Quesadilla (4 stars) from the kids menu. It included three mini quesadillas with a good amount of cheese between the handmade tortilla. I liked the welcoming and mellow vibe of the restaurant. Today we tried Tito's Taquitos in their new location in downtown Beaverton. They are across the street from Giovannis. A very nice quiet indoor seating spot, they have ample seating. They also have a small outdoor table on the main walkway. From the dining area you have a view of the open kitchen, you do not pick up much noise from the kitchen. Their menu has many protein options such as ,pork, chicken braised beef, chorizo as well as non meat options such as garbanzo beans marinated in sweat spice sauce and mushroom asada. We ordered chicken taquitos, just like the picture, they taste even more amazing than they look, the handmade tortillas are rolled with minced potato fried, then served with a mound of chicken on top, they are also served with sliced radishes and pickled onions on a bed of cabbage. It was the second best dish. The other item we ordered was the best item we tried, the Mini Sopes with chorizo, man I cannot wait to have them again, three Sopes, you can only order one protein at a time, they had a good portion of meat,fresh Mexican cheese, guacamole, pickled onions and cilantro, yum!! I also tried a single pork taco served on a fresh pressed tortilla, there was so much pork that I could have eating a second taco. When we walked in, one of the staff were making drinks and greeted my guy first (three times...) And then me and I said hello. He's basically deaf sometimes when he gets in his head. So APOLOGIES because he wasn't trying to be rude. He just can't hear a lot of the time. This is such a cool spot. We ended up ordering to go. We hadn't planned on eating out, or at least I hadn't. We got a drink (the Alma,) while we waited for our food. The Alma has a spicy salt and Pequin pepper rim. I absolutely HATE sweet drinks but this was a bit sweet but not syrup sweet or artificial sweet. It was a bright citrus sweet. Refreshing. It was a truly delicious drink. I knew I needed to try Tito's when I saw that there were actual vegan items on the menu. Thankfully I had a few to choose from!! It is SO unassuming. They made the tacos like the taquitos but not fried (I cannot stomach fried food anymore,) it was Mushroom Taco Asada so they were made with Carne Asada seasoning. So flavorful. A bit smokey and very very good. The Garbanzo bean taco was Al Pastor. And MAN ALIVE I think I'm in love. This was such a gorgeous flavor. Spicy and delicious. I can't believe how good the food here is and how great the staff is! We recently moved here from California and have not found anything comparable to the food at Tito's! It is SO FRESH, so flavorful and even though I was full I still ordered dessert and highly recommend the brownie! The entire staff was so friendly from the second we walked in and you can tell they all genuinely take pride in their jobs and working together! The kitchen manager Erica even came to our table, brought us extra hot sauce and was so kind and truly a gem! First time trying this spot and it was incredible! I love the vibe of this restaurant, it's quite lively and has a urban feel, very Portlandy. I don't remember all the items we tried but my favorites were the Piña Colada Agua Fresca, Fried Chayote, Fish Taco, and the Braised Beef Taquitos. We ordered cocktails, a plate of taquitos with chicken and a shrimp taco. We went light on the food since it was our second dinner of the night but were still surprised by how big the taquitos were. This was on my husband's list to try for over 2 years when they were still a food cart. I didn't know what to expect....a restaurant for taquitos which are usually dry and not at all exciting? Wow! I was so so surprised at the depth of flavor, beautiful presentation, curated toppings and the delicious food! Started off with the fried chayote, I know it's a strange sounding dish but it was so flavorful,perfectly fried with a savory batter and the chayote was a perfect texture. The food was level 5. It's that next level of flavor, texture and taste that most restaurants don't achieve. The portions were surprisingly big for a higher end food experience. My favorite were the fish tacos. They were exquisite. The ribs and taquitos were excellent too. The seasonal dessert of the pumpkin tres leches was the bomb. It had the perfect texture mix of crunchy/light cookies and chewy white chocolate with a cream that was super light and fresh and amazing. The service was good, and friendly, but not fast, which was perfect for our social dinner, but might be considered slow for someone wanting to get in and out in a timely manner. I was super sad when they closed the food truck by Breakside Brewery but was very pleasantly surprised for them to open up a brick and mortar location on Broadway! My friends and I came for lunch on a Wednesday and had no problem finding street parking. Walking in, you can pretty much see the whole space and it's also nice to see into the bright and open kitchen. We were greeted right away by the lovely waitress and the place quickly filled up with diners during our time there and also a few people picking up their online order to go. Now the food. Omg the food. Not only did all the dishes LOOK beautiful (see the pictures for yourself!) everything we TASTED amazing! We started with chips and salsa - they give you red, green, or habanero. You can get the regular taquitos filed with potato and cheese or add on a few meat and vegetarian choices on top. We went with the barria beef for the taquitos ($15) and the beef was so flavorful and the taquitos were crispy and creamy on the inside. The citrus pork sopes ($10) was the perfect sharing size, it came with three and they did not skimp on the meat! The fish tacos ($5) were juicy and filling and my favorite part was actually the thick homemade corn tortillas. I've heard so much about the Tres Leches cake and it's moist with the perfect amount of sweetness paired with the slightly tart berries, a great way to end the meal. Overall I would definitely come back again and try some of the other specials on the left side of the menu as well as the other desserts that weren't available when we went. This was our first time trying Tito's and everything we had was absolutely delicious. We started off with the Sopas to try a few of the different meats before we locked in on what taquitos we were going to get. We tried chorizo, beef, and shrimp. All the meats were so flavorful, juicy, and well seasoned. We also had the breaded chayote. We didn't know what to expect as we hadn't had chayote before but it was so tasty and with the aioli dipping sauce, it just brought it over the top. We moved on to the beef taquitos. So crispy and filled with potato with all of that succulent meat on top with a little pickled veg to perfectly complement. My husband had the pork and beef tacos, both delicious and filled to the brim with meet. Now let me tell you about this crispy fish taco...you can't leave without trying one. It was both of our favorite bites with the perfectly breaded, juicy large piece of fish on top of a homemade tortilla with some cabbage and another perfectly paired aioli style sauce. All of this we were dipping into their delicious verde salsa. We also got cocktails! I got the Paloma. Tart, tangy and refreshing. Hubs got the margarita, equally delicious and less tart than the Paloma. Shawna, our wonderful server, guided us in picking a great beer to finish off our tacos and was always checking in whenever we needed anything. All of the staff were so friendly and courteous. Tito's Taquitos jumped into my IG page and with an upcoming birthday I decided to try it with my girlfriends for Happy Hour. The food was amazing - my favorites the ribs and guac and the star of the show the pork taquitos. The prices were great and staff good but because it's new, service was a little on the slow side. I'll give them a free pass since they are the new kids on the block but I am looking forward to going back to try more. Hip spot in old town Beaverton with a friendly vibe, open kitchen and attentive staff. I find the potato in the taquitos mushy and bland, a complete contrast to the crunchy exterior. My wife is a big fan of the texture, proves taste is subjective. Portions are large and generally very tasty with elegant twists. Masa in the tortillas is excellent and better quality than most taco shops around. Unfortunately for my taste the fish taco was so loaded with ice cold condiments it ate cold, too bad because the fish was nicely fried and I would have enjoyed a warm taco on the cold day. My pork taco was so saucy, messy and sloppy it soaked the tortilla as sauce dripped over my hand and down my arm, happy I'd rolled up my sleeves. Salsas are not shy on heat, green is hot not mild, red is fire not hot and habanero a nuclear poison capable of taking out a whole village. Would I go back??? read more

I am thankful they are on the west side of the river, plenty of amazing food downtown or across the river but I also find myself worrying about my car getting smashed and broken into, so peace of mind is real! The wait was very little considering how slammed they were on a Tuesday night- perhaps taco Tuesday was on several minds. I'm dairy and gluten free and their menus are amazing! It was clearly labeled, and tons of gf options. It was easy to leave off the cheese to make it DF as well. My mom said her Sopes she's ever had. Then I realized there was more to the food cart as it had a good-sized seating area in the back overlooking a wooded area. When the breeze brushed through the trees, it was quite relaxing. I planned on ordering get rib eye on top of my taquitos, but it was sold out for the day. So I got the Taquitos with brisket on top, while my fiancé tried the street tacos. We both liked our food and I really enjoyed the presentation. The taquitos were crunchy and not greasy. They were quite heavy (with the potato filling) and went very well with all the toppings such as pickled onions, cheese, brisket, and cabbage). My finance thought his tacos were good as well, and was especially impressed with all the fresh vegetables on top. We also ordered a slice of the tres leches cake. It was light and fluffy and full of sweetness. It also came beautifully presented and was enjoyable to eat. Been in this area quite a bit and wife has always mentioned this place. We finally tried it and holy moly. Our undisputed Mexican restaurant in the area has always been don asados for years. No one came close but Tito's taquitos is seriously making me think about it. We got the citrus pork tacos, potato taquitos with carne mushroom and braised beef. The pork tacos were unreal. The toritilla held so well and had a nice bite through grainy texture and nice corn flavor. The citrus pork was juiiiiiicy and tangy and loaded with onions, guac and pico. That was the best thing I ate in awhile. The potato taquitos were no joke either. The 4 crispy taquitos were super crunchy and had a nice filling of potato inside. The carne mushrooms were all so Smokey and plump that it just exploded with juice and flavor. The orange habanero sauce had a perfect kick as I like spicy foods but brought a lot of flavor as well. Unfortunately, we devoured them so quickly that I couldn't capture photos of all the taco offerings. The service was excellent. I placed my order over the phone and picked it up within 15 minutes. A polite female employee greeted me, efficiently bagged up my food, and sent me on my way. Though the location--a couple of food carts next to a gas station--may not be the most romantic, the quality of the tacos more than makes up for it; while we opted for takeout, there is seating available for those who prefer to dine on-site. Was meeting up with a few friends on a lazy Sunday afternoon and decided to try Tito's Taquitos with the gang...we had all heard very positive feedback from other friends about this place and wanted to experience it in person! First the good...it is a nice but small space in "downtown" Beaverton...and we were greeted and seated very promptly. The waitress was very nice...and gave us menus to began and food drink orders...drinks came quick as well. Now the bad...the pour on the drinks -- the mimosa in particular -- was not good. My friend asked for the OJ on the side...and when it arrived the Champaign was maybe 3 ounces? My friend...also a bartender...asked why so little and was told that is their prescribed pour...needless to say my friend was not happy. The rest of us ordered margaritas-- and those were very good. As for food...three of our group ordered the taquitos...one tacos...and I went with the breakfast plate...we were told this was brand new (in fact the first day!). Most people seemed to like the taquitos..especially praising the proteins (that does cost extra). The beef tacos also got good reviews..but not rave reviews. And my breakfast was ok...two eggs were good and bacon was delish...but a mountain of potato's -- which I felt were way over fried. I had to ask for ketchup...and was given an odd look by the server on that request...I am chalking this up to breakfast being new and maybe she did not understand people put ketchup on breakfast potato's....at least I do! Also...no salt and pepper shakers at tables...when that was requested it came in small bowls...kind of weird. Overall this was not a bad experience but we all left feeling it could have been a little better...maybe we were there on an off day? read more
