The Bolt has been advertised at a fantastic discount but it became obvious that they have no intention to sell it at that price. My daughter has bought several cars from Mayse and we have always had a great experience. Recently I decided to buy from Mayse and purchased a new car. I had an excellent experience at first. The car had hail damage from a recent storm. I was told during the purchase process that it would be fixed. Fixed! not partially fixed or it may not be 100%, but fixed! After picking my car up after being "fixed", I notice some hail damage still present on the passenger window trim, two placed that were very noticeable on the driver front fender that were patched and a larger one on the hood. When I spoke with the salesman, he explained, " well this is why it was discounted off so much, there was not a guarantee it would be 100%." I explained that was not what he had told me the day of the purchase, his exact words were " We will fix all of the damage." He then proceeds to tell me, he will speak to the owner of the repair shop and advocate for me. He would then let me know what he says. It has been a week and I have not heard back. I bought a car from mayse . It's been a horrible experience. I'm a senior on a fixed income and bought a car they said worked great and had been all checked over and was in great shape . A week after a quart low of oil light came on . I went and had the oil changed. 800 miles later the light came on again a quart low . The car has a bad engine and needs pistons and rings . 6,000$ ! So I'm thinking thank god I bought a service warranty for this car . The business manager told me it would cover powertrain etc . I paid over 3,000$ for this warranty ! I find out the warranty does not cover it because it is about 97% sure it would be considered wear and tear ! So now I'm stuck with a car with a bad engine and 255.00 a month payments for five years and no transportation. Military discount not honored. Never said "thank you for your service". Did not make us feel valued as a customer. In spite of attempting to dot all i's and cross all t's before the long drive there, and in spite of our final email quoting the out-the-door price they agreed on and asking "what do we need to bring to drive the car off the lot". We were told to "bring your driver's license and proof of insurance." Our insurance policy with our insurance company is our proof that we had every intention of buying their car. Not sure they had any intention of selling it to us without raising the price $500 which is what happened without the military discount. After we got home and complained about the wasted expense there and the wear and tear on our own car, then they posted how easy it was for the customer to get the military discount - with all these steps to accomplish on the GM website. Funny they never took the time to include those instructions to us before we left home or while we were there. They claim hundreds of customers succeeded in doing so. It would have been so easy for them to tell us that while we sat there while they took my computer and got on my ID.me site - asking for my password and typing in whatever they did. After we got home, I called GM and they walked me through the ID.me site and said that the dealer should have entered the purchase in my husband's name and he is my sponsor for the military discount. It was not my fault but theirs no military discount was offered. They have no remorse whatsoever in costing us two wasted days out of our lives and hundreds of dollars wasted to get there and back for gas, food, and lodging. Perhaps the couple waiting right behind us were the real buyers for that car? Although I do wish them the best. a simple apology would have gone a long way - and better still - they could have honored their out the door price we were quoted. read more

This dealership will bait you with low prices and then offer really low on your trade. As well they will not be honest about incentives or special APRs. Avoid at all cost and don't be fooled by the low pricing. If you don't have a trade and are financing through your own lender then I guess you could try it but beware in the F&I room. read more

The amount of money offered for my trade was insulting not to mention it seemed as though they really didn't care if they sold me a car or not. I wanted to thank the used car sales representative that wouldn't budge on price if a used 2010 Subaru we looked at not too long ago. We were interested in purchasing it. Took it to our mechanic and found approximately $3k with if immediate repairs that would be needed. Made an offer taking that into consideration and didn't even get a counter offer. Hopefully no one else tries to look at that vehicle without getting it looked at. The reason I want to thank them is that we went down to another dealership down the road later that weekend and found a 2015 of same model with no issues for the same price! So it worked out. I just think people should know that even if you find problems and still try to make an offer they shouldn't bother here. read more

ry interesting visit to this dealer. I called and asked about a used truck on their lot, and salesman gave me basically the same information about it that is located on the website. I figure that it was good enough to drive 45 minutes to test drive and look this vehicle over. Got there, briefly talked with the salesman about the vehicle then he brought it around. I looked over the truck to see if there was any damage, and noticed that the tires, especially on the rear were getting really worn. That is usually typical of a vehicle they traded for , and usually just means they hadn't put it through a complete cleanup. When I got into the vehicle, it seemed a bit dirty, not bad, with a weird smell (not pertinent) figuring again, that hadn't gone been cleaned up. As I was driving off the lot, noticed the gas light was on. Again, most dealers will not have a lot of fuel in the vehicles. So, I took it on a short drive. The truck drove good, seemed like everything was solid. And as I was driving, I noticed on the front windshield just under a sticker they put on the vehicle that said "fuel gauge not working". So, that made since then that I couldn't pull up fuel mileage average, miles to empty, the normal stuff. So, anyways returned the truck to the dealer, and spoke to the salesman about these issues. This is where it became apparent that they were being a bit shady. The salesman explained that trucks with a few more miles (136xxx) are sold out of out wholesale lot. Not explained to me or did it say wholesale on the website. Also said that anything that need fixed or the fact it needed tires, he said that that was the customer responsibility. Now, mind you, I did my research on the year and model of the truck, and the price was on average to a fully working, non wholesale truck. But the repairs needed for this truck was in the range of $2000. Now, if I had been given this information on the phone, I would have forgone the 45 minute drive to look at the vehicle. Instead, I wasted almost 3 hours with an un-apologetic salesman. I did reach out to the general manager after a left, and was told he hadn't heard of anything like that in his 20 years at the dealership. Even so, I now have a new line of questioning when calling about a vehicle. I also affirmed that unfortunately, you can't trust anyone EVER!! Isn't that sad. read more

I have a 2013 Chevy Equinox. I have had a recall on it for a while, I have contacted May's 3 times. The first time my Husband called and gave them all the information they needed, said take a few days to get the part in for the recall, that was in January we waited over a week called back to Mays and they could find any of my information said I wasn't in their system. Pissed me off because they took all my information, so they told me someone would call me to get everything straightened, never heard back. So-Called again just for the same thing to happen. I called over an ago and this time they found my car info in someone else's name and once AGAIN and said need a few days to part in STILL HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO GET A HOLD OF ANYONE. OBVIOUSLY, a recall is important enough to get a notice about it. So I'm going to take my business Republic Chevrolet for the recall. The recall in affecting my gas mileage and costing me an UNNECESSARY amount of money with the economy already the way it is. I ended up passing through Aurora on my way from Tulsa to Springfield. I was pulling a boat and my Duramax went into engine power reduced mode. Apparently I had an exhaust problem. Mayse helped me limp my truck to the shop and understood I was in a hurry to finish my trip. They got the truck in immediately and addressed the issue. Be very careful buying a used car, they push that extended warranty on you, but when you turn it down and get home 3 hours away, you find out your air conditioning doesn't work, have mechanic put gauge on it, and it's bone dry no Freon, put 2 cans in it and they left overnight, salesman's says when can you bring it back, um since I own a business and it's 3 hours away I have no idea, here's an idea how about you let me take it to another gm dealer closer and pay the bill, when you buy a used car with 46000 miles you kind of expect everything to work, why would I check to see if ac worked it was 50 outside, if they fix the problem I'll fix my review read more

Mayse motors did an excellent job selling us the Equinox but lied to us about the availability of the colors. We were told that the red and blue Equinox were not available and that they were not pretty colors anyway. I really wanted one of those two colors but purchased the dark gray. Now, three months later and we had to threaten litigation to get them to fix the hail damage that the car had when we purchased it. They informed us that the man who fixed the damage requested more money and they were not going to pay it. They did finally send someone to pick the car up to repair the damage, close to three weeks and numerous calls later, they finally returned my car. They didn't fix one of the dents and didn't replace the uneven door trim. The purchase went fine but the after service is extremely lacking. They have my car now, this is day two. The repairs needed should not have taken more than a few minutes. I'm sure I'm going to have to call them several times and will get several excuses as to why it is taking so long to repair my car. I would not recommend this company to anyone. As a matter of fact, I would and have discouraged people from using Mayse Automotive to purchase a vehicle. Got the Equinox back after four days. They made me sign a contract that I would put back any gas I used in their curiosity vehicle, which I did. When they returned my car it had not had the gas replaced that they used to drive it to and from Aurora and my car was filthy. You would think they would have cleaned the car and at least put the gas back that they used. Very, very disappointed with this company. the car they sold me has been nothing but problems, and when i tried to return it they told me that it was sold as is, though they never told me this, instead they hid it away in paperwork they knew i wouldn't read before agreeing to buy the vehicle, in the 4 months since buying this car it has had 4 different issues that needed to be fixed and this morning no more then a week after getting my car back from the last issue my check engine light came on again, i have talked to my salesman and was basically told that they would not help me out in the slightest, and they would only accept it back as a trade for a fraction of what i agreed to pay for it no more then just 4 months ago, i will never be buying form this dealership again and i will warn everyone i know not to go there as well, and i plan to leave my story on multiple review sites so hopefully no one else has to go through what i have gone through read more
