Oh geez, where do I begin. Let's start with the condescending nasty owner Tim Quigley. I confirmed…read moremy appt weeks in advance only having to call him and ask where he is. They did come to my house and we walked through the project. Since we were doing outdoor handrails, they asked if i wanted them painted or powder coated. Remember this comment as it's relevant later in my comments. I got their proposal which was almost $1800 more than Mayorgas. So, like any buyer would do, i started asking questions and everything went downhill from there. They asked me to share information about the other people to insure the bids were apples to apples to compare and maybe lower their bid cost. I sent what i was given only to be told I never answered their questions. I asked how much of a cost savings there would be if i opted for paint vs powdercoat and the owner sent this: "You add nothing back for paint, as we are a welding contractor, not a painting contractor. WE DON'T PAINT! " Remember I said they asked me if i wanted the rails painted or powdercoated above, then this is the response i got. At this point i decided I wasn't going to work with them and Tim had his helper send me a note saying they were no longer interested in working with me. I followed up and said you beat me to it. That was my plan since the owner was a condescending A-hole and didn't like that i was asking questions about his bid. He had the gall after i confirmed i was moving on and sent this..... This is who you will deal with if you choose to with Artisan. Remember, even if you are a novice, like I am at figuring out what all the options mean and ask to compare to someone else's bid, Tim, doesn't want to be questioned or challenged. And, he has no problem being an a-hole about it. Sum it up, he did me a favor. He was rude and nasty so buyer beware.

I've travelled all over the country and I've been to all sorts of shops…read more This one is WILDLY overrated, unprofessional, and I've had 3 experiences with them to reach this conclusion. For starters, Buddy the owner is rude. You can tell he's about to retire because he speaks to you as though he doesn't want your business. The shop takes 3-5x longer than they estimate on everything they do. I heard that they are understaffed so those handling electrical are not actually professionals any longer, and they wont disclose any of this until they've changed the quote on you several times and try to gaslight you into rationalizing it, or worse, making you think you're the problem. The youngsters are great and the craftsmanship is acceptable, the project manager is fair at communicating complications when they arise, but that's all soured when management is dishonest. The main shop man Rusty is overworked, unfriendly, dishonest, and the biggest problem is that they don't have competition so they are completely flooded with all of the work, booked out very far ahead of time, and don't get punished for negligent business handlings because they're the only guys in town. Very disappointing experience at $165/hr and I recommend a mobile rv tech over this company 9 times out of 10 unless you absolutely have to get something fabricated. In that case, I reccomend a different welder

I told Reggie I wanted the old fluid flushed out before the new parts were installed. Reggie said no problem and quoted me 2 hours verbally. 4 hours into the job I checked in with the "mechanic" all the new parts except one line are installed and my case of fluid is not even opened. I lost my temper. The mechanic told me to talk to Reggie. Reggie tried to lie to me but I lost my temper. Reggie had his mechanic not replace the final line and leave the old fluid in. $444 charged. Reggie told me he did that because I was a toxic individual and had mental problems. I have problems with people wrecking my truck and charging hundreds of dollars. On the way home the odor of burnt fluid was so bad I had to pull over to make sure my motor was not on fire. Avoid this shop.

You will get a fair days work for a fair days pay. It is that simple and you will be happy when you leave. He does work on my car and it runs like new, looks like new and is well taken care of and it has 262,000 miles on it. I need new shocks, plugs, struts etc. after these many miles. I will drive 190 miles to get this done by a pro. George Kersten
