It is a great medical facility, I am currently being treated there, with some success in four months. However, I am disappointed in the pricing differences between a person on social security and one on personal insurance. My spouse is on Soc. Sec. and saw the same doctor as I for the same amount of time and he did the same routine consultation as he did when he saw me. He charged my spouse for the one time consultation approx. $66.00 and he charged me for my one time consultation approx. $650.00. Now I can see giving the elderly a break, but must you charge the nearly elderly almost ten times more. No wonder so few people can afford health insurance these days and no wonder my insurance at Blue Cross Blue Shield keeps going up almost every quarter when the statement comes in. It is over $1500.00 per quarter now. I questioned them about the differences and one person told me it was because the government would not let them charge more than that. Another told me it was because of the LEVEL designation on each individual file. I don't understand why my higher Level would be that much more when it took the exact same amount of time as my spouse's. Yes, BCBS has an agreed amount to pay them but my portion to pay them after BCBS pays their portion was more than double what they even charged my spouse. This is so unfair!!! We don't need government controlled insurance, we need new laws and limits on what pharmaceutical companies, doctors, medical facilities, and insurance companies can charge for their services. read more
