Abysmal treatment. Dr Burnette lacks any modicum of care or compassion. When I told her I have been having anxiety and felt out of options after trying therapy, she responded with "Anxiety is just something you have to get over. It's not going to kill you." Her blatant insensitivity to my singular issue was astounding. She offered no other options and refused to provide enough medication to help me get through a year of travel for my anxiety while flying. They even drug tested me and could clearly see I didn't abuse the medication as I take it strictly for travel. If you want to feel like you hit a dead end with a provider that will look you in the eye and belittle your problems after you've paid a ridiculous amount of money for the visit and sat in the exam room marinating for 50 minutes, come here. Pay, wait, have your problems demeaned, and leave. She's perfect for that. read more

Baptist as a whole is a fantastic medical company. I'm writing on yelp because for some reason there are a few bad reviews on here, but google rates it a 4.8/5. This location is wonderful. Everyone is so kind, whether it's the people on the phone or the nurses/doctors taking care of you. They are very accommodating as well and have been flexible in moving appointments around for me where other doctor's offices would laugh in my face. MyChart is a very helpful tool and they always upload results and get back to you promptly which I greatly appreciate as an anxious person. I wish I could give them a 6/5 or 11/10!!! read more

First, let me say that JP Orallo, APRN is a fantastic provider! The time and care he takes with his patients is phenomenal and he has been the primary provider for my husband, son and myself for about 5 years- since my son's first telehealth visit with him during the pandemic. I reached out via the patient portal to make a new appointment and was told that the doctors were not accepting new patients. I have been an established patient with Baptist Primary Care Beaches for OVER 30 YEARS, following Dr. Sam Fern (the man, the myth, the absolute legend!) to this office. Because no one ever told us we had to establish a relationship with the new PCPs, we can no longer be seen by JP and must find a new PCP. The person even took my request directly to a doctor when I told her my whole family would be in the same position and we were directed to find a new doctor's office. To my knowledge, none of these doctors have been at this office as long we have been seeing JP. Why would I have left the provider my whole family was happy with?! Poor, unprofessional and uncaring way to do business in my opinion. read more

Been a patient here for 5 years. Have had multiple appointments re-scheduled at the last minute by them on me. Usually have to wait an hour or so to be seen once there, normal crappy mass managed lousy healthcare. It is what it is; we all put up with it. This takes the cake though, show up at 2:55 for a 2:30 appointment today and "Dr. Dhangi doesn't have time to fit you in today, we will need to re-schedule". I get it, maybe he had prior obligations and just couldn't fit me. At least be somewhat personable, tell me yourself, someone act like they remotely give a damn! Understand people make sacrifices to see and pay you too. We wait for the calendar to finally flip to our day, then show up and get to deal with your disgruntled underpaid front counter people, then wait 30-45 min for a CNA to fain interest in why we decided to be a pain in their otherwise miserable day, then the Dr or LNP shows up and might as well tell you "take two asprin and call me in the morning" in between checking their watch to see how much more time Big Medicine tells them to spend with the payment voucher in front of them. It's just sad. Won't be back here, definitely will tell everyone I know and a bunch of other people to avoid this place like the plague. Also, was just there for the "mandatory" pay us your co-pay for your life saving maintenance medical prescriptions. I have asthma and need my inhaler re-filled. Guess I'll head to the ER. My husband is a patient here, and like his doctor. I would love to be considered, as well. I've always seen specialists for my needs, but after my last lab work, one of my specialists suggested I see a primary as I have some vitamin deficiencies. I have been on the phone 3 times today for 1.5 hours total, and no one will pick up the phone. I even had Baptist Corp reach out to this office to help me, and they couldn't get anyone to answer. I don't want this kind of service in the future should I need to make a sick-visit appointment. I'll find a different office! read more

The care you get is amazing. The staff at the front are literally the most unorganized, incompetent people I have ever interacted with.

My doctor was Dr Dhanji he was very friendly. The problem was his Nurse or coordinator. I had problems coordinating my prescriptions and referrals to other doctors. On 2 occasions I was referred to specialists but my records were not sent to the specialist before my appointments. I was charged for visits but nothing could done for me without records. Routine tests were not done and flu and pneumonia shots were not offered. Went to a new doctor and all procedures were brought up to date. The Clinic Coordinator said I had to ask for tests that I want done. Glad I go to a new clinic read more

Today was the first time I've never been able to get a same day appointment (for illness). I was also unable to be seen at another Baptist Primary Care office. Why? I don't know. It seems that you can only be seen at one primary care office, even though they are all affiliated. When I get back from vacation, I'll be transferring to another office. read more

Today was my first time at this office. I walked in and the staff was very welcoming. It seemed to be a busy office with a lot of stuff going on but it ran smoothly and everything was organized. I went in pretty quickly and the nurse was very attentive, asking follow up questions ensuring she was extremely through; this is comforting for new patient to know that they make it a priority to take care of the patient. My reason for the visit was taken care of immediately and I was also able to get some other things done (i.e. blood work) without having to wait. The nurse saw that I needed something and all I did was go to the next office in the building and got it done. My paperwork was sent immediately so by the time I walked across the hall the technician was waiting for me. At my old doctors, this would be another appointment I needed to schedule. In addition, all results are on the portal so I don't have to go in again to get them unless follow up in necessary. I found my process today to be convenient but very detailed. I DO NOT GIVE THEM EVEN ONE STAR!!!! AFTER GOING TO THIS OFFICE SINCE 1994 I HAVE FOUND A NEW DOCTOR WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN!!! Have been going to this office seeing Dr. Fern since 1994. Since Fern retired I have been seeing Tony Vilena. I went to see the doctor for a cough before I went on vacation. Saw Dr. Dhanji because Dr. Vilena was unavailable. He told me my cough was from allergies and told me to take Zyrtec. He also had me go for blood work. Nine days later I call back because the cough is still there and I am not getting any sleep. Asked if I could get a prescription for the cough to help me until I can take time off again to get in to see the doctor, which is two weeks from that date. They sent the doctor a message and said they would call back. The next day at 2PM I finally get a call telling me to come back in to see the doctor. I explained I could not take off time for another two weeks. And my insurance does not cover acute care centers. And cannot afford to pay the cost out of pocket. Just need something to help with the cough for two weeks, he had just seen me and had blood work done nine days before so it is not like he hasn't seen me recently. Still I was told basically you have to live with the cough and lack of sleep until I come back in and run up more medical bills. Told them I would find a new doctor. read more

I cannot recommend this place enough! I've been going here for almost 10 years now and refuse to go anywhere else for my medical needs. I see one of the PA's here, Lori McDonald, and she is phenomenal. While some doctors/PAs/nurses don't take a young female seriously, she always has and is the reason that a major medical issue of mine was even discovered. They are very thorough here and really listen to their patients at this office. Being able to call and make an appointment that day is very, very cool. The wait time is never anything that upsets me, and the staff is extremely pleasant. It's nice to have that small town local practice feel now-a-days. The other thing that makes me LOVE going here is their phlebotomist upstairs. I can honestly say that you will not feel the needle going in when you're having blood drawn. She's an absolute miracle worker and is so kind. Even when I've moved and not lived in Jacksonville, I still would only come here for anything I needed looked at medically. I recently moved here and went to Dr Brownings office for my annual physical which has been covered by insurance for the last 10 years. They mis-coded my insurance information and it was not fully covered. They would not correct the mistake because I have been taking medication for a pre-existing condition.
