The good: they are a general practice, pediatric and an urgent care center with extended and Saturday hours, they do take walk ins and you don't have to be a patient to be seen, though it's highly recommended to provide your info like all health services so that you're in the system if you need to be seen at this location again as a walk in. I chose The Doctor's Center because it was much closer to my house and I can no longer vouch for the other place where I've been going to since moving to Jacksonville (if you're nosy of my reviews you'll find it lol). They share a building with other businesses, but there is plenty of parking, though the spaces are tight. The downside is the walls are thin, so you may hear the conversation in the next room over, though words are muffled. If you really want to listen you can make them out. One would assume that would be a big HIPPA violation. I've been seen by Dr. Logronio and also by the APRN at this location. Both are very professional and will listen to your concerns. The staff overall are very friendly, though there is the male medical assistant, while he is friendly, had tried to ask me out a few times. Sorry, I just want to be seen for my health issues. if you got this far into my review looking for the bad, you found it. This is a professional environment and patients should expect to feel comfortable during their appointments. I like this place not just because of the location, but overall the experience I've had here so far, and all of that outweighs that one little downside I've had. But.... the Doctor's Center is just one of the many medical providers in this general area where they do provide urgent care for walk ins besides general and pediatric practice, if you are looking for a new provider. I just came here after making an appt over two weeks ago and when I show up they tell me I don't have them listed as my primary care doctor and I have to wait until September for an appt. So why wasn't I told this before coming? I mean until September!!! Yeah not coming back. Receptionist had a really stank attitude I don't know how the doctors work but if this is the kinda of service from the door....all I have to say is everything happens for a reason. read more

I went to the South side "The Doctors Center" office today (01/25/23) and was so pleased with my experience. All the employees I spoke with (front desk, nurses, and doctor) were so incredibly nice. They took me very quickly while making it a very thorough checkup. Everyone here is the sweetest and I highly recommend stopping by if you're feeling under the weather. The office is also very clean! I don't understand people getting into a business such as "patient care" if they have none. This review is for the SS location and its' front desk staff. I have no review for the doctors as I didn't even get that far. After spending too much time trying to make an appointment "online" and waiting for some kind of confirmation or acknowledgement that they received my online request, I drove my tired, painful self to the Center. I asked the front desk "clerk" if she received my appointment to which she replied, "no". Then she proceeded to tell me that she called me back. huh? I thought she didn't get my request? She said since I was a "new patient" that I had to wait until tomorrow to be seen. Again, huh? Walk ins welcome??? I arrived there around 4pm and they didn't close until 6pm and there was NO ONE in the waiting room. She asked me what I wanted to be seen for and I said I had an ear ache and facial pain. So she decided those were "covid symptoms" and I'd have to be tested first before a doctor could see me. This was HER decision! huh?? AND....that couldn't happen until...you guessed it, tomorrow. What has happened to patient care? After I left there, I went elsewhere and received some quality patient care and a Zpack. Thank God! My experience leads me to suggest that YOU CHOOSE ANOTHER WALK IN. And by the way girl at the front desk, leaving me sitting there for 10 minutes while you chatted on the phone instead of "checking" my insurance was rude to say the least. read more

I've been taking my children to The Doctor's Center for over 8 years now and I refuse to take them anywhere else. Kat and Brittany are great with my kids, as is Dr. Malesik, even given the 16 year age difference. When either of my kids are sick they go above and beyond to make sure they are seen and treated as quickly as possible. It is the only doctor's office that my kids actually look forward to going to. read more

Great for pediatrics! Very great personalities from all the staff. Family inclusive. My daughter went in for a physical and [not to be left out] my younger daughter was "seen". They're awesome, beginning with the office staff and so forth. Our teen daughter, older boys now Men, and our twins are 11 years old now and initially started out from newborns with Dr. Asha Pai when she had her sole practice off Baymeadows. We followed her to the Doctors Center. If I'm not mistakened, she and Dr. MALESIC are the owners. They've always been intuitive and spot on with their assessments and diagnoses. Also, I didn't and don't just leave our childrens care solely up to them. I document things and questions so that when it's time for their appointments, I'm prepared to assist them with helping out children on the path to wellness. It's called Medical Practice for a reason, they're not perfect and aren't GOD. O see a lot of horrible comments and all that I can say to that is, "Everyones entitles to their opinions and no matter what, someone's always going to complain about something." Some are legitimate and some aren't. I can't speak to much outside of the Pediatric Practice, however, when our older boys aged out into the adult clinic, we had no problems what so ever. Give them a chance and sometimes a second chance isnt so bad to give people. We would like that others give us a second chance when we screw up, why not extend that grace to someone else? read more

The wait time was a bit long, I was sitting in the exam room for about 10 minutes before the doctor came in. The wait staff could be friendlier, but they weren't rude in my experience. Grace, the Nurse Practitioners', bedside manner was fantastic. They are currently my primary care provider. read more

I have had a terrible experience and would like to inform you of the customer service at your medical offices. I booked an appointment on last notice because I was out of my sleeping medicine. I called my normal office the Southside location and spoke with Kim who informed me that there were no openings on saturday but if I can get off work early for that day and be at a different location by 6pm they could fit me in. I was shocked that location which was the University location took patients that late. I told Kim that I had to leave work early and ask off so the appointment is for sure that same day at 6pm, which she confirmed. I got off work early didn't even look at my phone other than to GPS the University location. When I get to the University location a little before 6pm I was rudely informed by Angelynn that the doctor left at 4pm and that they don't book appointments past 6pm. There was no this is a mistake on our part he straight up said that I was wrong and did not have an appointment. He pulled up my profile and there was no appointment or notes. I work in the medical field and any time I speak with a patient I record it with notes in our system. I later listen to my voicemail where Kim called to inform the doctor left at 4pm and they could not keep my 6pm appointment. I still have the voicemail. So I was not wrong like Angelynn said. Why would an appointment just be cancelled and no note or record of cancellation, it makes the patient look crazy. I told Angelynn that I was going to call the number I booked the appointment with to see if it was even the right office. He said its 6pm and we are closed. He turned the lights off while I am on the phone calling the number and went outside to put a sign up. I called and spoke to Jennifer at the Southside location who was giving me your email but Angelynn had went outside and there were no pens but behind the desk. I asked my daughter to go get a pen, Angelynn came running inside and told me to leave that I could not be behind the desk. I informed him I needed a pen if he would have stayed inside with the patient he would know the needs of said patient, such as a pen. Jennifer was rude on the phone and informed me that maybe I should call my RX in prior to being out. I informed her that the pharmacy had called twice a day for the past week and Jennifer said her records only have one day that I was again wrong. At this point I am aggravated and it shows in my voice but by no means would I treat anyone with disrespect or yell, she said she could not further assist me if I was yelling, which I was not doing. I also have a print out of 10 plus times the pharmacy faxed/called in the RX. Overall there was no responsibility taken by anyone and blame put on the patient. I also called the GM of Southside left 4 plus messages and no response, I also called the billing department and got one call back but not in the time frame I requested so I did not get to express my complaint. I have never been treated so unfairly before. read more

Never before have I been treated so poorly. Not only by the doctor himself, Jesus Logronio, but by the staff in general. They have one person in that office that has compassion for the patients. But as far as the rest of them, they are rudest people I have ever come across in any aspect of the service industry. For them to call themselves a doctor's office is ludicrous. I've been to this doctor twice now and in total have spent 7 minutes with him. I later called to ask the doctor to fill out some paperwork for me, for my job protection and was advised to come up and he would fill it out. Upon my arrival I was adv that he couldn't fill it out now and that I had to schedule an appointment or the nurse can just put it on his desk. I finally calmed down and allowed them to take my paperwork. The office called back later to ask me a few questions, which was great because they were working the paperwork... so you'd think. I got a call at 6:02, 2 minutes after they closed, to be told that the doctor wasn't able to finish it and that he was out on Friday and wouldn't have it til Monday. This after I explained that I was moving out of town Monday morning to assist an ailing family member. I was astonished about the lack of compassion and concern that a human being, in a Doctor's office, could have for another person. I beg you, do not go to this office. They are the worst people I have ever met. Please please please do yourself a favor and avoid this office at all costs. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not allow these people to treat you the way they have treated me. FYI - I have never before posted a review to any site in all my life. read more
