This was my first time eating here and will not be my last. So, so much food...I could have sworn I took a picture of the actual fish plate but believe you me I had to get another plate to a put some of the food. I had the trout and the shrimp. Only problem I had was that the fish could have been seasoned a little more but it was still good. Everyone was so nice, store nice and clean. The cheesecake was on a different level. I was set up because a fridge was filled with some great looking desserts. And that's the first thing you see too! Then I knew my diet would have to start tomorrow. Will Definitely coming back!!! Plenty of parks, store nice and staff wonderful!!!

Stuffed crab, and the paper bag pieces that was stuffed inside!

Absolutely Disgusting Experience -- Do Not Recommend I ordered from Mayflower Seafood through DoorDash, and the entire meal was a complete letdown. The fish had no seasoning at all, and the scallops were definitely fake -- the texture made that obvious right away. But the worst part was the stuffed crab. When I put my fork in, I pulled out pieces of a brown paper bag that had been stuffed inside. Finding paper inside my food was beyond disgusting and instantly ruined the meal. Whether it happened during prep or packaging, it should never occur under any circumstances. The experience was careless, unsanitary, and completely inexcusable. I will never order from this place again.

Service was amazing. Our server was very attentive and was able to get things out pretty fast. The food was not seasoned to my liking, but you did receive an abundance of whatever it is ordered. this is no five star diner, but definitely seems to be the place. The locals like. The furniture needs some updating along with the menu the ambience was very much a family style environment, not loud

I'll never forget that saying. And that's what drove me to eat here ... to see if they truly respect the fish. Cape Fear is a hot local spot that serves up seafood. It's a mash-up of Bonefish and Red Lobster. Semi-fancy but just below pretentious and more casual. It's attached to another restaurant and parking was hard to find. The place is so popular, that I had to park 3 businesses down. Thankfully, a spot at the bar was open but this place was busy during 5:30 - 7PM. I ordered a blue moon and got the fresh catch (blackened mahi mahi) with mango salsa. It sat on a bed of risotto and side of asparagus. The fish was certainly "respected" and the meal blended perfectly together. Highly recommend the fresh catch. Service was excellent! The dessert, a blueberry cobbler, is my reason for the star bump. I guess I was expecting southern cobbler, which is typically a lot heartier portion. This one almost seemed like they had it frozen and reheated. The taste was decent, though. I just wish they'd "respect" the cobbler a bit more. Overall, this is a must stop if fish is on your brain. Highly recommend!

We went with the Cajun wings and a seafood boil with king crab legs, shrimp, boiled eggs, potatoes, and corn. You can choose between different marinades and spice levels. We went with garlic butter and mild spice. I really wanted to try the shrimp fried rice but it was no longer available, I assume due to being sold out. Next time! Upon delivery, the food arrived very hot and smelled delicious. They ensure it's packaged so a leak doesn't occur. The wings were super crispy, flavorful, and delicious. The boil was a huge portion, truly fresh, flavorful, and delicious. You never know what you're going to get when you order seafood for delivery, but we were thoroughly impressed! The seafood boil and wings could feed two people I'd say. I can't wait to order again and absolutely will be. I will say the only downside is the price, it was about $160 for the boil and wings, but for a special occasion, absolutely worth it. I was debating between four and five stars but it was SO delicious and fresh, that I had to go with five.

Over priced per usual, not a fan. Service was fair though. I'd recommend people go somewhere else…read morefor authentic seafood boils. The crawfish tasted like dirt and the shrimp wasn't all that. We came when the restaurant opened during the week so we were seated right away and it wasn't crowded. There are several tables and spaces to sit inside of the restaurant. The Mac & cheese was very cheesy as it contained multiple cheeses. We enjoyed it. My steak was also prepared well and was tender. The fries were served hot. We started with the mussels cooked with chorizo sausage. They had good flavor, although I personally would have preferred the mussels without the sausage flavor. For our entrée, we had the Steak & Fries. The fries were cooked perfectly and had great flavor, especially with the cheese. We also ordered a side of Mac & Cheese, which is made with baked shell pasta, rich, cheesy, and really good. The restaurant itself is fairly small and intimate, with the full bar and open kitchen all in the same room as the dining tables. I really liked the warm, lively atmosphere, although it can feel a little crowded when they're busy. Overall, good food, a cozy atmosphere, and a fun dinner spot in Raleigh. I'd definitely recommend making a reservation before coming, especially for dinner.

The fresh seafood selection is huge - all local and regional, plus some Louisiana gems! I chose to eat fresh fried seafood, similar to what we call a "seafood platter". Today, 6/4/2025, I got a platter of 3 pieces of FRESH flounder, 6 or 8 oysters, about 1/3 pound of small shrimp, fried okra, boiled potatoes, hush puppies, and a refillable fountain drink... all fried to perfection! FOR $20, including tax!!!! This fry is perfect "American style". I did need hot sauce because we astoundingly season everything in Louisiana. Staff and customers were super friendly, especially, the sweet lady who moved to Raleigh from New Orleans. (She knew my name was "Baby"... LOL!!!) The family that owns this place and their employees are super nice. I ate my lunch with two of the fish guys. I'd eat here every day if I lived in Raleigh!

We sat outside this day, as the weather was mild and there wasn't any available seats inside. We ordered a fried combo and a grilled combo. TrySeafood does a lot of things right. Portion size was fairly generous. We especially love the fact they serve cleaned jumbo shrimp. Food was cooked well, shrimp was tender as was scallops. The broccoli was not tender crisp nor mushy. The potatoes and corn were delicious. While service was friendly, it was a bit slow. Also, I'm not an Old Bay fan. The grilled shrimp were seasoned with Old Bay. While the fish was crispy, I prefer a cornmeal dredge to a flour dredge. Finally, (and this could have been a me thing) the tip percentage on the screen doesn't align with the math. I intended to tip 15% - which is standard especially considering slow service. That should have been approx $8 and when I got home I realized it was approximately $16. You're not given a printed receipt and if you're in a rush and going through the process quickly it's easy to miss. Again I may have missed something, but I'm pretty sure I selected the %15 option. Additionally, I've seen other restaurants that have intentionally include this practice. Would I go again, sure. I'd request a different seasoning blend or a light seasoning and check that math! Simply Delicious We…read morehave been looking for a good seafood restaurant since we moved away from the coast; and we have found one in Rolesville. Granchio is a straightforward, outstanding eatery that serves perfectly prepared dishes that are creative and flavorful. Portions are generous and the seasonings imaginative. All the staff (servers, chef, owners) are friendly and welcoming. This is a real 'feel-good' place to enjoy a sumptuous meal. While there are a some tasty pasta dishes and other options on the menu, the shellfish creations are the stars of the show. My favorites are the BOIL BAGS. The 1/2 pound portion comes with one Corn on the Cob and one large Boiled Potato. The one pound portions come with two each. Choices are Shrimp; Snow Crab; King Crab; Lobster Tail; Green Mussels; Black Mussels and Crawfish. Sauce options include Cajun, Lemon Pepper, Garlic Butter or Granchio House (a combination of all three). You can also chose between mild, medium or hot spice levels. The Black Mussel Boil Bag was absolutely delicious. The Mussels were slightly sweet, tender, plump and cook just until they opened. I chose the House Sauce seasoned somewhere between medium and hot. It was perfect - tangy, zesty, peppery, buttery and loaded with flavor. The Potato was large and the Corn drenched in the great sauce. I added the extra Sausage and had plenty for a filling dinner and lunch the next day. Another delightful surprise was the Blue Crab Ravioli. The ample pasta envelopes were stuffed with succulent Maryland Blue Crab and fresh Ricotta Cheese and covered with a creamy Red Vodka Sauce. Again, there was enough for an ample dinner and leftover lunch. We can also recommend either the Shrimp Cocktail or the Fried Oyster Appetizers. The Shrimp were just the right size, perfectly chilled and served with a zesty cocktail sauce. The Oysters tasted fresh and the spicy Oyster Dipping Sauce was just hot enough to get your attention. Another favorite is the Snow Crab Boil Bag. The flavorful snowy white meat locked up inside each leg takes a little work, but is worth the effort. It is sweet with a slight hint of the ocean and a pure delight when paired with the lively House Sauce. Finish you feast with a large serving of heavenly Tiramisu. It will put a smile on your face.
