Had the opportunity to catch the last day of Rock of Ages 2023 for the brunch show with my mama. I love the Mayfield Theater in general, but this performance was absolutely exceptional. This is actually my third time seeing this musical, and once was in New York.... This third time was absolutely incredible. I was blown away by the talent in this show. It was a high quality ensemble of incredibly gifted performers. The brunch buffet had a lot of variety. There was lots to choose from, and everything seemed fresh. My only complaint was the coffee was pretty terrible. Our server was attentive and ensured we had everything we needed. Mayfield Theater will always be a top notch Edmonton experience for me.

Went here for the first time for my mother's birthday. You can email then an announcement to put up on the TVs for "silent announcements" that are done via slide show format during dinner. We did "Happy Birthday name", others were "Welcome Northern Lights Walking Group", "Happy Anniversary name", etc. Website is easy to use and purchase tickets. There is a ~$15 processing fee that is charged whether you buy online OR via phone. Tickets were ~$125 per person so quite pricey compared to St albert Dinner Theatre and Jubilations in West Ed Mall. We were at table 104 which turned out to be a booth. 1 of us had to sit awkwardly due to the booths angle but 3/4 seats were very comfortable. Easy to find via Google Maps. Lots of parking on the south side of the building. No big sign at the entrance/from the road saying you are at the right place but there is a big sign above the south-facing entrance door. Place was only 40%full this night. Doors really do not open until 5:30PM so do not bother coming too early. And with so much parking I did not have to worry about finding a stall. And FREE parking too! Buffet is open right at 5:30PM as well and open until exactly 7:30PM so we ate for 2 hours! Buffet was awesome. So much variety no matter your food preferences. Loved that there were gloves for use as well as sanitizer as there were a Ton of hands touching everything. We went up ~4 times each. Great dessert selection. BEST was pork shoulder, ravioli, poached shrimp, bean dip and chips, rice pudding, apple crips - in my opinion. Drink menu and dinner menu are posted online so you can browse before and see what you want. My pregnant sister had no trouble finding enough safe foods but did have to have salad without dressing as it all contained raw eggs. Show was 1 Pianos 4 Hands. 12/10 absolutely best show I could have imagined. So funny, witty, and relatable as I used to play piano. 100% will recommend to anyone with musical background or just looking for a fun time. Things of note: Show starts at 7:30PM exactly. The ticket price includes the buffet, coffee, tea and the Dinner Theatre Production. Does not include gratuity of liquor or service. You can pay your bill at intermission during the show so you can actually leave when the show ends! The recommended dress code is business casual: no jeans, t-shirts, or runners. But I feel you probably could get away with black jeans and a nice Tshirt (Don't Quote me!). Photos/videos can only be taken at intermission and during the meal. Overall, quite pricey but definitely the best dinner theatre experience I have had in Edmonton so far.

We come for the shows but stay for the well-appointed buffet. The first thing one sees upon entering are the publicity head-shots from all the years gone by. There are a lot of familiar faces, so please take the time to find your favorites. The table seating is pretty good; it's hard to have a bad view of the stage. The buffet is laid out with two mirrored offerings with a carvery in the center. There's something for everyone, from keto to sweet tooth, fish, meat, vegetables, pasta, desserts. I've had several chats with the chef de cuisine and have walked away each time pleased with his competence and enthusiasm. The shows are very off-Broadway, but that lends a homey touch to the goings-on. I'm looking forward to our next visit to the Mayfield Dinner Theatre.

Came out to the Mayfield Dinner Theatre last night for the opener of #HAIR - and WOW! From start to finish, it was my FAVOURITE night at the Mayfield Yet! From Chef Willie White & Sous Chef Andre's amazing spread and hospitality to the show itself, I could t have asked for a better date night! Where in town can you experience a 5 star buffet with prime rib, a massive variety of seafood, and a dessert bar to die for coupled with Canada's best dinner theatre? The Mayfield Dinner Theatre of course! The set, the music, the cast of Hair was phenomenal! The Broadway musical came alive last night and I am sooooo glad to have had the pleasure to see it! The cast interacted with the audience throughout the show in are ally unique way. And let's not forget the fabulous waitstaff who are there before you even know you need them! If you haven't been in awhile or are yet to experience the Mayfield Dinner Theatre, now is time! Call and book your seats today before HAIR blows away!

As the classes commenced we found her to be very unprofessional ie: talking about other classes of students saying what 'Dummies' they were. Her words. As for her being able to demonstrate dance moves she was physically unable to. Relying on parents to demonstrate such moves that required going down on the floor and jumping up and back down to the floor. We also had a seeing impaired child enrolled who's mom decided her daughter was not ready to do the Christmas show on stage as Lee stated she would not be there to assist said child. Lee even made a joke in front of several of us about having one child almost fall off every performance saying the girl was ready. Really!!! Lee also wanted to keep our children for three hours back stage during the performances, assuring us she did so every year and would have toys etc. to entertain them. I arrived to find total chaos! No security regarding parents picking up and dropping off children and there were approximately 30 colouring pages, one box of crayons a half pillowcase of mega blocks to entertain over 50 children. Several people we knew walked into the 'secure' area with no questioning etc. anybody could have taken a child! Lee also attempted to physically remove a crying child from my arms. I said absolutely not until her mom comes. Lee actually stated that I was being over protective. It was just one big chaotic mess!!! The result was 6 of us parents withdrew our children which left her with 2 students for Wednesday morning 10 am class. Also note that her Resume' states she's done this or that training with so and so....FACT: she did one day or two day workshops with named people. Using the word trained with is misleading. Very UNsatisfied!!! That's all.

Friends of ours had a 50% off discount code for the general admission tickets so we were able to get 4 seats for $85. There are ringside and VIP seating also available which is closer to the ring. We stood in line and had to have our hard copy printed tickets ready to hand over. Upon entering, you're greeted with the scent of popcorn, mini donuts, and hot dogs. All the food items were your basic circus food, nothing out of the ordinary but the prices were sky high. $5 for a bottle of water (Nestle Life water), $5 for a can of pop, $5 for small cotton candy, $5 for a hot dog, $20 for a bucket of mini donuts. They also had some pretty cool light up wands which were $30 each. Face painting was available for $15 and pony rides (which were basically dwarf horses hooked up to a circular thing that guides them to walk in a circle) were $15 as well. The performances were spectacular and the kids and adults alike were all amazed with the acts. Highly recommend for this alone as this was everyone's favourite part. Just like everything recovering from the pandemic has been hard for the circus and so this was their first year back on the road. I look forward to many more circuses to come in the future and will be prepared for the cash spend next time.

With my Player's Club card, I get coupons including a 2 for 1 Buffet one, which makes it $20 for dinner for 2 which is a pretty good value. The breakfast and lunch prices are $10 and $15 respectively. There have theme nights, Tuesday is Mediterranean, Wednesday is Indian, and Thursday is Asian. You pay when you arrive so you can't check our the fare first. They also ask for a tip but we didn't tip at that time as we didn't receive any service yet! We went on a Tuesday and the upper seating area was about half full. They also have seating in lower area accessible by stairs but they closed off that section while we were there. The booths are roomy and comfortable. The buffet itself is small. There are 3 rows with the first having 2 soups, 5 different salads but were on small plates, rolls, and condiments and cutlery. The middle row had the hot foods and that night it included rice, roast potatoes, green beans, other vegetables, beef souvlaki, roast chicken, pita and various dips including hummus, gravy, spanikopita, and a person there to cut you slices of roast lamb. The third row had an ice cream machine and toppings, fresh cantaloupe and honeydew melon, pre made mini cupcakes, a few different squares, baklava, and a peach crumble. They also have self serve coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and one of those soda machines that you select many different kinds of flavoured pop. The lamb was the star of the show, it was tender and not too gamy tasting. The beef was dry and hard and chicken was cooked well but not very flavourful. Couldn't really go wrong with the green beans, spanikopita, and potatoes. For dessert, the peach dessert was so bad I had to spit it all out as the peaches were so sour as they were the canned type. I went back for a piece of baklava and it was stuck on the plate. I wiggled a piece free and since it was so big, I wasn't able to finish it. It was pretty cold as they probably took it out of the freezer a few hours earlier but still good. The service to start with was awful and based on that, I would have given this 2 stars. There was a woman walking around and taking away plates and acknowledging other tables but not ours. When I did have a dirty plate, she removed it but not the cup. The woman who came by after her was nice and efficient. The first woman was terrible and I don't see her lasting long. The food was just alright and the price good with the 2 for 1 coupon.
