Eventually I called Quality Appliance Repair and at the price of $145 just to show up and guaranteed this charge will be included in a total repair charge. Technician showed up and I explained what is wrong with the ice maker, it all took five minutes for him to scratch his head and google on his phone, not even taking any tools out of his toolbox and his diagnosis was "my ice maker is broken" which I already told to him. For some reason they couldn't get the part and they left me with no solution and just a bill for five minutes of what they call technician diagnostics just for him to show up. So just be aware of this business, it's not necessarily scam but they prey on someone like you, I paid $145 for nothing and hope you will not.

I phoned to have a repair technician to come and diagnose and and fix my LG french door…read morerefrigerator that was freezing fresh food in the fridge part. The technician by the name of Alex came on time he proceeded to take out a temperature gun and took the temperature of the freezer compartment and the top part of my fridge and my pantry door why my pantry door you would have to ask him. He pulled out my sliding bottom tray of the fridge and took a quick look he then stated it was the damper and it was stuck and proceeded to check on the control panel costs along with the damper part and temperature thermastat that he stated all had to be repaired. Keep in mind that he did not pull my fridge out or check the self ice maker door in the fridge to go in deeper for a true diagnostic. This all took about 20 minutes. While he was looking up the availaibility of the parts that he told me required to be replaced he asked me why i needed such a big fridge and then proceeded to show me other models that would be a cheaper replacement. My fridge is only 5 years old and it is none of his business why i wanted a large fridge. He told me that it would take five weeks for the replacement parts to come in and then exceeded to show me additional charges that i would have to pay pickup and carry charges etc. He wanted me to pay up front. I was asking him questions like why didn't he pull the fridge out and look at the control panel etc. He kept cutting me off and waving off my questions. He was rude and condescending i then told him i would not continue and ended the call. I told him i would pay the overprices service/diagnostic fee of 169.99 just to have him leave. I did and he left but before he did he stated he could get the parts in three weeks. I then contacted the company and spoke with a lady i believe her name to be Beth or something similiar she stated that this was not the first complaint about the technician named Alex but he was one of their best senior technicians. Yes did i believe that, no i did not she stated that they still wanted our business and that she would escalate my complaint to the senior level of the company that was approximately 4 days and haven't heard a peep since. I would never recommend this company just for their hidden costs that is not on their website and the customer service of what they state is a senior level technician.
