This is a great locally owed company in Calgary that has been in business forever with fabulous service to match! I called for a dishwasher problem at my rental property and they were able to go by within a day of calling, co-ordinating with my tenant the best time for her. After the first service call they thought the problem had been resolved but my tenant was still having problems a day later. They went by a second time (seems it was a different issue maybe/ maybe not) related to the original issue. They didn't charge me a second service charge, just for the part needed. Thanks for the great service from booking the appointment, to the technician who came out, to the invoicing over the phone. It is no mystery why these guys have been in business since the 1950's. As I read the countless reviews about Terry's excellent service, I guess my post will not be unique. Terry and I had a discussion about my refrigerator not maintaining temperature, a gradual problem that came with no side effects of noise, mechanical issues. He informed me I had a slow refrigeration system leak to which we both agreed was going to be either a high cost risky fix or refrigerator replacement. He charged nothing for the visit considering no tool work done (and perhaps due to my poor luck having to buy new refrigerator) but that was over and above my expectations. I know who I will be recommending for appliance repair if anyone asks. read more

Terry arrived on time, one day after the appointment was made. He was knowledgeable and took time to explain the problem -- a frozen water line going to the ice maker. The issue was resolved in minutes and he only charged me for the service call, not labour. I highly recommend this company! read more

Appliance service centre arrived as scheduled. Terry very quickly identified the problem with my Decour range. As Samsung had acquired Dacor, he went above and beyond to source the Dacor manufactured repair part. He then arrived, again perfectly on time and had it installed within the time that he had said that it would take. The repair went smoothly and his reinstallation of the top and burners has now remedied a slow ignition to the burners that a previous repair company said wasn't an issue. Very impressed with their customer service. Friendly staff on the telephone. Explained that I would be charged $99 in addition to labour and equipment costs. Terry was the technician who came to look at my washing machine. He looked at my washer and knew what the problem was. Terrible news but he advised that the washer machine bearings were shot. His advice was to buy a new washer as replacing bearings would be the same cost. He didn't have to but Terry didn't charge me for his visit. I'm sure that a lot of other companies would have - just feel so bad for having Terry come over for five minutes. Thank you read more

My washer broke down Sunday night with a load of towels in it :( I emailed these guys on Monday for a quote along with a few others. Within 5 minutes of sending the email, I got a call from Breanne to tell me the charge for coming out an assessing the repair and that the tech could come on Tuesday. Louis showed up exactly on time. He was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Found the problem, had the part in the van, fixed and out in 40 mins! The assessment charge rolled into the repair and labour. All in all a very good experience! (The other company I emailed still hasn't replied......) I will use this company from now on. read more

I had a "wonderful" experience working with this company. After reading all the positive reviews, I decided to call them. They told me they couldn't book an appointment on the phone and referred me to their website to fill out an online form. There was no mention of a service charge on the phone (although the lady who answered the call claimed she mentioned this. It is not true). They quoted me $380.97 to replace a control switch on an oven and when I decided not to go ahead with the service they sent me an invoice for $99.75! Their website is set up so the customer is able to book an appointment without being informed about a service charge. The customer is expected to click on the "About Your Appointment" tab where they mention this fee. It is the duty of the company to make it clear to the customer that there is a service charge. Not the duty of the customer to fish around their website for this information (or assume there is a charge). Most companies/contractors offer a free quote. This is standard practice. The owner admitted if it wasn't for this charge the company would go out of business. I offered $20 as resolution (which I wasn't obligated to pay) but this was counter-offered with $75! I am contacting a collection agency to pay the full price as I leave this comment ($99.75). I am leaving this review to warn customers not to do business with this company. I asked for a very broad ballpark for cost of repairing a malfunctioning dishwasher having never purchased one or repaired one before and they could not give me an answer without their service person charging me $100 to come out. I asked could it be $1000's or would it more likely be $100's as just a rough estimate before I spent $100 to have them come out. I even asked what the most it could cost and they could not tell me. read more

I have a kenmore refrigerator that broke on thanksgiving day. I went onto there website and was able to book an appointment for the following day between 10-12. Booking online was extremely easy. My repair technician was Louis Godor, he arrived within the promised time frame. He was extremely knowledgeable, professional and personable. He switched out the temperature memory board and everything seems to be working now, yay! The price for him to come out was $95. With parts and labour the total was $360 which I would guess is pretty comparable with other companies. To put my mind at ease I was also promised a 1 year warranty if I happen to have any problems with the piece he installed which is awesome. I would definitely recommend appliance service centre to friends and family.:) read more

I have done business in the past with this company and had a great experience with replacement and install. Today was another story. After simply asking is the representative was able to help me considering that one of the parts had sold out. He replied by repeatedly swearing at me and insulting my english skills and my mother. It was extremely frustrating and very disrespectful. It completely ruined my experience with this company and is now blacklisted in my mind. I recommend who ever is in-charge to look into the call placed on Monday, December 21st, 2020 at 12:50pm-1:00pm. The words exchanged where very hurtful and I have never met this man in my life. I did my best attempt to deescalate the situation but he refused to cooperate and continued using profanity to bring me down. If you ever consider using this service make sure never to ask "What are you able to do for me in this situation" as it is a trigger word for one of their employees and will cause them to lash out and make you feel worthless. The element in our dryer broke and as a baby is on the way, we wanted to get it replaced right away. After seeing all the great reviews for Appliance Service Center online, we decided to book them. Wow - easy online booking system, they give you a 2 hour appointment window (rather than a general "March 3rd"), and the cost was definitely decent. Our technician showed up and was just the sweetest; he got right to work and had everything wrapped up within 20 minutes. They bring their own computer/internet connection and I was able to pay and receive my emailed receipt within minutes. Definitely would recommend! read more
