I was kept updated on part delivery time frames and appointment times, and the quote was nearly half what several others cited me, and was honoured (included the applied amount from the initial service call) to the dime. Absolute nightmare. If I could give negative stars I would. Called for service June 5. Paid $169 for the initial service call and pre-paid $74 for the required part on June 6. Tech installed the part on June 9 and tested by heating water (asked me how long it takes to heat water in the microwave). Tech said everything was working and I paid another $262.50 for the install. Went to use the stove a few hours later (its a speed oven) and realized it was turning on but not heating AT ALL. I recalled the tech had taken the glass bowl of water he was heating out of the microwave with his bare hands (which obviously you cannot do if the water is hot). I didn't notice at the time because I was working while he did the repair. So he was either straight up lying or totally incompetent. Called the company immediately (around 7pm - tech had left around 5pm) and spoke to someone quite rude who said it was 'after hours' and someone would call me the next day. Was in no way apologetic that I had just paid for a repair on an essential appliance and told the issue was fixed, only to discover after the tech leaves it was not at all fixed. On June 10 I had 5 calls with the company about how they planned to resolve the fact that I had just paid $517.65 for nothing. They said they would give me a 'free check' on June 11 (it's not a 'free check' when you've taken money for a job that you didn't do). New tech inspects the stove, determines it needs a new control board. Company quotes $1280.50 for this repair. Cost of a new stove with a warranty is $2395. (If you're doing the math Techvill's cost is $1798.15, equaling 75% of the cost of a brand new stove with warranty). June 12 I contact the company and request a refund for the part and labour to install it, saying I'll pay the initial service call charge. On June 13 I email the company asking for my money back. When I still hadn't received any communication from the company by June 16, I call first thing in the morning. I'm told the person investigating my complaint will call me back within a few hours. No one calls. I call back late in the day and I'm told the person investigating my complaint isn't at work, they will call me tomorrow. No one contacts me on June 17. I follow up today, June 18, and insist on speaking to the person making this decision. Unfortunately "that person has just gone on lunch at 1:11pm" (time of my first call was 1:24pm, was disconnected and second call was 1:36pm). I say the company provides a 90-day warranty and I can't understand why there is any question about this. I am told the manager is investigating and needs to speak to the tech. "That is the only update I can provide." So, if you don't value your time, money or sanity, this is the company for you. PS. Dryer was not heating, tech came unprepared and needed a second visit at $170 per visit and a part. $675 invested Dryer worked for a month despite warranty, they refused to return. Now they say there is a wire problem in spite of not coming to check anything have quoted another $600 to repair. I refused and asked about their warranty. Buyer Beware!! Read the reviews here!! Careful re the suspiciously positive Google reviews. This company appears to have a certain modus operandi re charging for a visit/fix and not being able to fix it but then charging another fee for any subsequent visits. We had a Miele fridge which was not working. On the phone, they quoted $179 for a visit. But onsite they actually charged $270+ because "it's a premium" brand. We specifically informed them it was a Miele on the phone during the booking call (in fact, we asked if they were an authorised Miele repair shop which the confirmed - I later found out from Miele that this is not true!!). A few days later, the fridge started to leak water. When I called for them to come back and stand behind their services, they quoted the $270 visit fee. Dodgy. I contacted Miele directly and had an actually authorised Miele repair shop come by who fixed the problem in an hour. He also highlight a few other things that the Techvill guy either missed and never mentioned. I will also be submitting a BBB complaint and HomeStars review as they seem to have a material impact on people's decision-making. How this company stays in business is beyond me. read more

STAY Away... Extremely disappointing and deceptive service -- I strongly advise avoiding this company. I was very clear with the phone agent about my issue: I provided the exact error code my washer was displaying. I was persuaded to book a service call after being assured the repair would be reasonable. Instead, I was charged $169 simply to be told exactly what I had already explained upfront. This was a complete waste of time and money -- and exactly what I said I wanted to avoid. To make matters worse, I later learned that the quoted repair cost was nearly 4 times higher than what was originally implied. Other companies I contacted were far more transparent and significantly less expensive -- many of whom would have waived the diagnostic fee under these circumstances. Repaired heating issue with dryer and did fix this problem, until we used the dryer. Issue arose the next day when we ran the dryer for the first time. Within the first 10 minutes of running it it started squealing. After repeatedly calling techville over 3 days eventually on the fourth call i got the response "this is a different issue and the drum roller assembly (not sure that's the name) needs to be replaced". No mention during the earlier repair of any wear with respect to the drum. Only mentioned this after my multiple calls. We had actually replaced the rollers only a few years ago and have been having no issues up until now so I would be surprised if this is the issue (but maybe). Eventually got them to say they would come back and check out the problem and bring the replacement parts with them if they are needed. Office said they would be in touch to set up a time and give me a quote in case the repair is needed. Still waiting to hear back from them (been a day so far), obviously no urgency on their part. That all said although coincidently this problem may be legitimate Techville's unwillingness to consider the squealing may have been a result of their earlier repair (not aligning everything quite right on the reassembly) along with their unresponsiveness to my calls is unacceptable. This is a scam. I provided the make and model of the oven I needed repairs on and gave a detailed description of the issues. The repair tech no-showed 3 times over the next few days before arriving (late) and spent 5 mins looking at the oven. He said he already knew what the issue was from the texts but needed to order parts and charged me $271.95 for the house-call. He followed up 2 days later asked me for $1220 upfront which (includes parts, two tech, service call fee, travel time, etc.). Why would anyone pay the entire bill upfront? I believe this business is a scam. They came quickly to assess what was wrong with my oven. They came back over a week later to fix it and it appeared to work when they left. That evening the stove was not working.After multiple calls they said they were ordering another part and would come back to fix it when the part arrived.This was Nov.7 ,2025 and since then we have had to call numerous times and there was never any followup.Why do they have numerous phone numbers ? Wish I could leave 0 stars. They charged me 178$ for 15min of diagnostics (no fix) on my gas range back in August. The installation tech was over an hour late. When he finally arrived he did apologize, but then was quite insistent I write him a 5 star review on multiple platforms (tried to get me to do it in front of him/direct me on what to say, which was a pretty uncomfortable experience). I figured, whatever, as long as my stove gets fixed I can stomach an unpleasant and egregiously expensive initial interaction. Unfortunately since then I've been playing a months long game of phone tag with TechVill to schedule a follow up appointment. I seem to speak to someone different every time I call and there is zero continuity. I have repeatedly been promised parts will be ordered, someone who knows what's going on will contact me the next day, etc - no dice. For context, it's now January - this has been ongoing almost half a year. My stove is still broken, I'm out 178$, I'm over it. I hate to pile on top of a stream of recent negative reviews but our experience with this "service" company was horrific. As you would expect, they are happy to send a service tech out to collect a diagnostic fee and even happier to recommend the most expensive "solution" possible. In our case, they strongly recommended a new compressor for our fridge and then when completely dark when it became obvious that this very expensive approach to solving the problem was a complete failure. And you don't even have to take my word for it. I've had two other reputable service companies provide their opinion of Techvill's engagement and they were flabbergasted at their hit-it-and-quit-it approach to "solving" our problem. they have an outrageous fee to come to your house. i naively thought it meant that they would come prepared with all the necessary tools. they did not. i told them exactly what the issue was on the phone. when they were at my house, I demonstrated what the problem was, they agreed that I correctly identified the issue. but they still didn't have any parts to even attempt to fix anything. They made me pay up front for a part. Said it would be next day. That didn't happen. Then they stopped answering my phone calls. So I blocked my number, then they answer my calls but when I talk to someone on the booking line, they tell me that they can't help me and that someone will call me back within half an hour. No one ever calls back. They stole money from me. They didn't do anything. No work. This is not a legit business. The good reviews are all fake. This deserves -600 stars for the money they stole and the childish behaviour of screening my phone calls. Martina will flat out call you a liar. She is the most unprofessional piece of trash on this planet, working for this scam. She sounds like she is in an arcade when you actually get to talk to this scam artist. I called Techvill to repair a dryer in one of my rentals. The tech came out and was there less than 15 minutes and determined the problem was the foil hose, the closet being closed and the lint trap being full. The next day I went to the unit and threw in a wet towel after all the issues were rectified (Which by the way the issue was constant and not intermittent as the trap was cleaned 1x a week) The unit did not produce heat. We tried a few other things and finally I took the unit out and took it apart using youtube. I diagnosed it as a blown thermostat or thermal switch. I replaced the broken piece and the dryer worked. Word of caution!!!!!!. I should have done my research as Yelp has many terrible reviews of this company. I asked for a refund for them wasting both of our time. If I can fix the dryer using youtube their tech should have been able to do it much sooner and better than me but they didnt. Use extreme caution with this company and expect a tech who does not know what they are doing. read more

Called this company for a simple repair of a door hinge on Miele dishwasher. Left work early for the appointment and technician came 3 hours late and no apology. Dispatch said part replacement would be covered under the diagnostic fee of $260. Technician did not agree. He said a quote will be provided for the repair after diagnosis. He spilled water all over the floor, and then left the dishwasher hoses unconnected and security screws left out. I had to put it all back together to use the dishwasher. Only a door hinge problem after all. The quote came back from Techvill at $203 parts, $30 parts handling and $360 labour. Plus the diagnostic fee equals $853 to replace a door hinge! Every time you call it is a different person and have to tell my story over and over and then they just keep sending the same quote. They are also not Miele certified. There website claims over 1350 google reviews but no google listing, and a 5 star yelp review, but here we are on yelp. Fake reviews and terrible service. To put this in perspective I got a quote from another company for $5 in parts and a $200 labour charge. I think I'll go with them. read more

Quoted 179.00 to diagnose a Jenn-air stove, then told by their "tech" once in our home that it was 259.00 to diagnose as high end appliance.Really?Taking two screws out of a stove and stating you know the problem is and putting them back in costs 259.00. Overcharging because of the manufacture of our stove? After numerous emails they offered to credit the overcharge but only if we agreed to have them come and fix it. The hourly rate if we moved forward was 259.00 per hour! It turns out after we got it fixed from a reputable and honest appliance repair shop that they did not even quote the correct replacement part. This of course would mean more money as they do not stock parts to repair a simple switch and would need to come back again. Unethical. Inexperienced without any customer service skills or morals. I hope this review costs them a lot more money than the 259.00 they wrongfully charged this potential customer. Googling a fix would be much better than dealing with these characters! read more

Called Techvill on a Saturday as my Dishwasher was giving me an error message informing me that there was water trapped somewhere that wasn't draining. The next available appointment was Monday morning; however by Monday I had did my best to troubleshoot the problem. By cleaning the trap and removing the debris followed by a full restart seemed to fix the problem. Called Techvill Monday morning to cancel my appointment and, I was only able to waive a late cancelation fee by leaving a review for them. Can't comment on value or service since no one came however I've never heard of such a policy before. In reading other reviews it appears that it's very mixed. My experience was pleasant but you may want to do your research first. read more

I had to use different phones all the time. They agreed to give me my money back, and they have not. This is an unprofessional company. Their technician Ammar arrived, did a superficial inspection, and then started a wash cycle, claiming he would return later to check if the issue was resolved. Absolutely ZERO customer service. Had a technician out to complete a diagnosis for a potential repair on our fridge. Was told it would be 2-3 days for a quote for parts, had to follow up after a week as we still had not heard anything. Once our quote was received we followed up multiple times to clarify some things, and they have yet to contact us back regarding our questions or coming back to complete the repair. It has been almost a month. When I called to book, I told them what the error message said on my microwave and what the online resources said was the problem and the part they needed. They said I had to book an upgraded van. I told the technician when he arrived about the part. He did not have the part in the "upgraded van". He "inspected" the unit and said he had to call about the parts and that he would get back to me on Monday. On Monday I received an invoice telling me that the unit is cheap and that I should just get a new one. No one called about the part. My microwave is on sale for $500 because its Black Friday. It retails for $700. Its not cheap. The technician is now telling me that "back office" completed that work description on the invoice. So unprofessional. Echoing other comments. My washer died last night during a seconds-long power outage and the door lock wouldn't work so no spin cycle- maddening. Technician is a Russian chap who was incredibly polite and professional, masked every second, and though he couldn't repair the washer (part has to be ordered), he was fast and efficient and while he was here he cleared a TONNE of lint from the dryer's exhaust. This was years' worth I think; I rent here and this is likely the collection of 20+ years (this townhouse was built in 1995) and though I clean my lint screen diligently, this sort of thing isn't uncommon. That's not why we called Techvill and to have done this was very friendly and maybe life-saving. read more

Dishonest company. The tech was nice but their policies are underhanded. My ice-dispenser was not working and the tech came and fixed it for the price of $391.00. He made a strange comment that sometimes the ice dispenser will have a problem again. I didn't really pay attention but less than a month later, the dispenser quite working a second time. Again, they came and this time the tech said it was a different piece, a little plastic piece they would have to order in. Same ice dispenser but different problem. Really, when I want something fixed, I expect it to be fixed permanently, not little bits and pieces so the company can recharge travel costs.
