Pretty bummed we drive here specifically for the water play ground and it's not on. It's a Saturday 2pm, it's hot out so I assumed they would have it going. My kids are pretty bummed but luckily there is a lot of shade and places to sit at this park. It has a good size playground with different play structures in sand. There's also a skate park on the other side of the park.

This is definitely a diamond in the rough. I visited this part for the first time about a week ago and I was very pleasantly surprised at how many different amenities there are at this park! They have a splash pad which is super awesome, lots of trees and lots of grass. The play equipment is on sand which is hardly ever seen anymore. There are two basketball courts and during the summer they put up a volleyball net and provide balls as well. They have outdoor connect four and they provide chalk as well. There is so many things for the kids to do here and plenty of swings which kids love! It's located in an industrial part of Whittier but it's not too noisy at all. I would Definitely recommend you go here and I will definitely be coming back soon.

Cute but small. Plenty of parking and space to hang out around the pad. Snack vendors rolling by, pretty chill time.

Shaded by trees!!! We're out here in the middle of summer at 1:30pm. This is our first time at this park and so far so good.

This playground is divided by three stages and it's very spacey. I will definitely come back. It also made me feel great seeing a cop parked and patrolling.

Kids having fun at Mayberry park!!

I come here to exercise and I think it's safe and clean. I often see police patrolling. Grass is well maintained.

There is so much to admire, from the beautiful gardens and unique architecture to the bird enclosures scattered throughout the grounds. My favorite spot was what felt like a greenhouse--a beautiful white building tucked within the park, complete with a gorgeous fountain inside. It felt full of life and had such an ethereal atmosphere. Even the squirrels were curious and interactive, making the experience feel even more alive. There are also several beautiful statues placed throughout the property, giving you something new to discover around every corner. If you're looking for a peaceful place to slow down and appreciate nature, I highly recommend visiting The Heritage. 命に感謝。 @FireLordRia

Plenty of parking to park at, with some dim lighting, but the park itself was very bright. There were a lot of people on Friday night with a few spots open so this place is very popular! Super huge with a ton of space. You can tell it's very well-kept and there are restrooms too. I think the parking gets charged when there's an event going on, other than that I don't remember paying any money to come here. Overall would love to come back here again!

Unfortunately, the grass looked overgrown, and the overall area did not feel especially clean or well cared for. I also brought my dog, but I did not find it particularly enjoyable or convenient for walking. I mostly noticed a few groups playing soccer, but not much else that made the park stand out. One interesting part was seeing people test and fly small remote-controlled aircraft. It was my first time seeing something like that, so I did enjoy watching it. Still, I am not sure that alone is enough to justify paying an entrance fee. This is only my honest experience, but I left wondering what makes this park worth the entrance fee compared with other public parks.

Adventure Park. It has an early-'90s water-park ring to its name, and while parts of it look like they're from the early '90s, it's just a plain old park with athletic fields, a gym, green space, and some sparse picnic tables. And what would a Whittier-area park be without its obligatory random ravine and/or concrete drainage area? In this case, said concrete drainage area is dangerous-looking for kids and runs right through the park at a right angle. It's fenced off, and there are helpful bridges to cross it, but I wonder why they sited it through the park rather than on one end of it. I'm sure some kids have adventures here, because all parks with grass and play equipment can be fun and create childhood memories. But Whittier has spoiled me with its parks, and while this is technically South Whittier so it's outside of Whittier's borders, it's still close enough that it should feel like a Whittier park, and it most certainly does not. Why? Because it's totally flat. And totally rectangular. When my parents were walking twice a day during COVID lockdowns/curfews, I suggested they visit this park to change up their rotation, which comprised only two or three parks at the time. They said it was OK, and I later came with my mom and realized why it wasn't their favorite. The concrete path isn't totally straight, so there's some variety, but there isn't much shade along the path. There's lots of parking, and it serves its purpose as a neighborhood park, but it could be so much better.
