Water features attract a lot of fowl including Canadian geese, mallard ducks and so many more duck species, plus of course seagulls and crows, pigeons, and a large number of turtles. Very fun for kids to explore. Slides and climbing are built into the structures. Adjacent to neighborhoods so lots of street parking, as well as a separate parking lot. Playground equipment geared for the 3 to 12 year old kids. Lots of covered sheds and picnic tables- those are available for Cerritos residents to rent, but otherwise are free for use. Also has grills if you want to barbecue. Clean bathrooms, onsite toddler pre-K programs offered. Lots of well maintained grassy areas and shady trees.

The lake area with the little church in the background is a nice touch, makes it feel more relaxing and not just your typical park. Good walking paths, plenty of grass, and nice spots to just sit and chill. Everything felt well kept and safe, which is a big plus when you're bringing kids. Plenty of room so it didn't feel overcrowded either. Only thing watch out for duck poop on the walkways and grass, especially near the water. Overall, great spot for families. Definitely coming back

I began to have family visits here as I felt safe during that time. When I was coming, there were no restrooms. Wednesday morning, I decided to take leo out for a walk and run. I needed gas at the same time, and Costco is 2 minutes away from this park. Immediately upon entering the parking lot. I realized they installed a brand new playing area for the children. There is even an area to play horseshoes. I grew up playing horseshoes. I'll be coming back to challenge my family members and have a little picnic here. They also installed bathrooms here!!!! There is a full-size basketball court, so bring your shooting skills. One of the main reasons why I have my eyes set foot on this particular park or property is there is a much bigger lot connected to the park for on-site camping ! Yes, I've never heard of on-site camping in the city. I'm a camper and can hardly get out of the city to camp. I am very curious. Never heard such a thing.

Unfortunately another large dog came in with his mom and decided to poop wayyyy too many times. I was worried about a virus so we left. Mom was trying to clean up but really just needed to take her sweet girl home. I was concerned about a stomach ailment since some feces was very loose, please go to the large dog side please next time. . My girls once they chilled a bit , first time, had a blast. Please be sure when you visit to close both gates on your way in and out and clean up after your fur baby. This park is so cool with tons of grass, little hills, a water station , benches and a separate area for large and small dogs. What a blast!! Love it.

They took over a giant covered outdoor area with a ton of picnic tables, clean and open and perfect for a large party (I assume they had to rent this). I've been to a lot of parks over the years, and most of them don't have comparable event spaces. The one disadvantage was that we were far away from the playground, much to the chagrin of my three-year-old, who kept demanding to leave the party in favor of the play structure he saw in the distance. Liberty Park is just a huge place with several different zones. We even switched parking lots once we got there and figured out where the actual party was, on the Camp Liberty side of the park. The party was really nice, pleasant and relaxing. We had lunch, watched the dohl ceremonies (he grabbed the stethoscope, securing his future as a doctor), took pictures, and hung out with family. Then, because I'm not a monster, I took my boy to the playground. It was a great playground, well maintained and pretty quiet on a Saturday afternoon. Fewer kids, in fact, than teenagers working out and playing loud music nearby. I'm not complaining. In fact, my child was fascinated by their music and got as much entertainment from their speakers as he did from the play structure. I don't live anywhere near Cerritos, but if I did, I'd make good use of Liberty Park. What a lovely neighborhood resource, for both special events and everyday recreation.

This is such a well rounded park with a community center, walking track, pickleball, tennis courts,…read moreplayground and more! Highly recommend these courts for pickleball too because there are a lot of courts, friendly players and it's not too advanced of play. Been coming for the last three months and I see the same players all the time. Only downside of playing pickleball here is that the courts close at like 8pm-8:30pm which is actually atrocious. I forget exactly. When I run to the restroom from the tennis/pickleball area, which looks exactly like your average park restroom. I see people on the playground and other pickleball courts (3 in the middle) (2 on side). The track is crowded too! The parking does get full in the evening so you may need to park on the street.
