I stopped by Maya's Cookies on my birthday to try their vegan cookies. The shop is really cute and in a nice area. They had several flavors, and I tried the famous everythig cookie -- it was sweet but not overly so - good and moist which is very important. I was disappointed they didn't offer any non-dairy milk, which would have really completed the experience. Also, $5 per cookie feels a bit pricey. I'm glad I tried this adorable shop. They do have HH where cookies are $2 but it skipped my mind which day. Their flavors also rotate monthly. CC accepted.

SO GOOD. i found this cookie place last minute from a maps search of local cookies, and am so happy i did. the cookies were incredible. i honestly didn't know they were vegan when i first chose this place and still didn't know when i left! the cookies tasted heavenly, texture was perfect, and truly you would never guess they are vegan/gf/etc. s'mores is to die for and the marble one out of this world. the store was clean, not busy and service was friendly + quick. they also have an option to warm the cookies for you, takes an extra 2 minutes! 10/10 will definitely come again. best surprise find! hands down better than crumbl every time. (the one negative is the parking. so difficult to get parking unless you park across the way in the lot)

Grabbed a cookie at the north Hollywood Vegan Street Fair. We got the $6 Michelle Obama cookie which is chocolate chip, white chocolate chip, mint chocolate chip, and walnut. Tasty and big! Has a good crunch with the nuts and chips.

My box of cookies! Yum!! Maya's is the best!!

The best cookies! Maya's Cookies are my all time favorite! I have been supporting her since she was at all of the Farmer's Markets in Orange County, around 2007. Back then, the cookies were $2. Now they're $4.50 each. Half a dozen is $26 and a dozen is $50. Maya's Cookies are big, slightly crunchy on the outside, with a nice chew, and soft on the inside... and they just happen to be VEGAN too. They have the ABSOLUTE PERFECT TEXTURE! I always buy at least half a dozen each time I go. You can't really go wrong with any of her cookies. Maya now has 2 locations in the San Diego area, and an online shop where you can get a monthly subscription to her Cookie Love Club. Maya's Cookies needs to open a location in Orange County! I would be going there a few times a week lol! My favorite cookies are the Marble Fudge, Birthday, Walnut Chocolate Chunk, Brown Sugar Butterscotch, and Drunken Grandma (oatmeal raisin). I love all their cookies except for the chocolate chip cookie and snickerdoodle. I wished I lived closer to their shops so I could go to Happy Hour on Tues/Wed from 4-5pm when their chocolate chip cookies are only $2. Wish Happy Hour included their regular cookies. Happy eating!

I stopped by the other day, and tried the sweet cream cold brew and her BHM feature "good times"! Omg!! I had the cold brew one before and fell in love, but the good times cookie! WOWWW!!! I've been "trying" to cut back on sugar.... But I can hold off a little while longer just to be able to enjoy these goodies for another month! Lol! But seriously you GOTTA try them.

Food (5/5 stars): I'm a HUGE fan of Maya's Cookies. They make some of the best cookies I've ever had, and they're all vegan! I got their $2 Chocolate Chip Happy Hour deal, which is every Tuesday and Wednesday from 4-5pm. My favorite cookies have been the Marble Fudge and S'mores. I highly, highly recommend! One of my all time favorite dessert spots! Experience (5/5 stars): * Price: reasonable -- their cookies are high quality AND vegan * Wait Time: minimal * Service: very good and friendly! * Parking: they have a parking garage nearby and street parking * Ambiance: it's a small, vibrant store!

Went in today with my family and we bought a half dozen cookies! We mixed it up and got some different kinds, all delicious!!! We even got to meet Maya, herself, today, as she was working solo!!!! I couldn't believe I got to meet the legend herself! She was so kind and spoke with us for a little while. Did I mention these cookies are VEGAN AND DELICIOUS? I definitely recommend this place!

We always get something here whenever we go to the Italian place next door. Hubby loves their cookies especially the Marble cookie. ALL their cookies are vegan and they usually have at least 1 featured GF available, which i have tried and they are pretty good, love the texture and size. 2 things i wish is one, they don't use soy in their ingredients, and two, that they have more GF options.

Every single vegan friend of mine has recommended me Maya's Cookies. I vividly recall two attendees sharing a cookie with me at a vegan festival when I couldn't accommodate my schedule to wait in the very, very, very, very, and very long line at their booth. I found myself in San Marcos today and decided to stop by! There was one person behind the counter in this vibrant, clean, and pink storefront. He recommended me the white chocolate macadamia cookie as a final flavor (phenomenal choice) after I selected half a dozen to bring home. I saved a few for gifts and left the rest for my family. Let me tell you that these cookies didn't last for the whole night--they were sweet, softly doughy, buttery, sugary, and gloriously perfect. Yes, this is another testament that Maya's Cookies is the best cookie spot in San Diego--maybe even almost all of SoCal! 10000/10 would recommend!

The cookies are absolutely delicious. They are vegan! It was warm and fresh. What made our visit even better was the service! Calliah (I believe I spelled it right) was AMAZING! She was nice, sweet, attentive, and caring. She made us want to come back!

Still in love with this place. I tried two new cookies this time. The oreo stuffed is basically a chocolate chip cookie with a single oreo inside. The white chocolate macadamia can be overly sweet, but the server asked which one I wanted. I chose the bigger one rather than looking at the ratio of white chocolate to nut. Hah! S'mores is still one of my favorites. You know what I forgot to inspect? If they serve plant-based milk. While in line, I noticed the candles, but didn't pay attention to anything else. Not even if there was seating... haha! The cookie counter is where I'm zoned into.

After many many years of enjoying Maya's Cookies via pop-ups, we finally had the opportunity to visit one of the stores! My long history with Maya's Cookies started at vegan food events in Long Beach. It was always a memorable experience because of the variety of tasty flavors. There were a few times that we were in San Diego but the store hours were never open while we were in town. So when I found out we would be in the San Marcos area, we prioritized a visit to Maya's new CSUSM location. We were greeted immediately by a friendly young man behind the cookie counter. When we told him that we planned to order a bunch of cookies, he offered a tip on how to keep the cookies fresh if we planned to eat them later (freeze them!). At $4 a cookie, we asked if there were deals for ordering a certain quantity. Unfortunately no deals. So rather than ordering one of everything, we still treated ourselves to the following: - Famous Everything https://bit.ly/3DUppp9 - Oreo Stuffed https://bit.ly/3DpnMya - Chocolate Chip S'mores https://bit.ly/3DUpHwf - Chocolate Turtle https://bit.ly/3NropM8 - Birthday Cake https://bit.ly/3NsX5xa - Classic Chocolate Chip https://bit.ly/3UlMKFI - Matcha White Chocolate https://bit.ly/3DReX1s The cookie guy asked me if I really like the flavor of matcha because he said the flavor is strong. Glad he said that because Hubby doesn't usually like the flavor of matcha so that one was just for me. We shared all other flavors. Our goodies were packed up in a big pink carrier box and we went on our merry way excited for the delicious treats we were about to indulge in. Also, the trick to freeze the cookies is such a legit tip! We were able to enjoy some of these treats a week later. Maya's Cookies is definetely one of my favorite vegan cookie brands!

I absolutely love Maya's cookies! I wish they would have a location in Orange County because San Marcos and San Diego are a little far to go to often. I was first introduced to them at pop up vegan events. Their cookies are so good! I tried the double chocolate with sprinkles during Halloween. Seriously so delicious! Went down to San Marcos and the parking was easy, although it was a weekend. In November I got cookies including: cinnamon roll, everything, marble, chocolate chip s'mores, peppermint s'mores. All delicious. Great vegan cookies delicious!

Chai snickerdoodle cookie, chocolate chip s'mores cookie, & a everything cookie.

The taro bingsoo was super light and fluffy. Not overly sweet, which I actually appreciated. It's definitely a good shareable dessert, especially if you want something refreshing instead of heavy. The taro with creme brulee was the standout for me though. The layers were really pretty, and once mixed, it had that creamy taro flavor with a slight caramelized richness from the brûlée topping. You may not make the rules, but someone sure made this menu--and apparently nobody bothers to make sure it matches reality.
