As many of The restaurants on Disney property this is yet another disappointment. Made us wait for our reservation yet the restaurant was mostly empty. My friend had tacos she seemed to be pleased even though they were near $30 tacos that were completely overpriced. I had a hamburger because I heard it was pretty good that was an absolute disaster it was a flavorless tasteless cheap burger that was a complete waste of my money. No chips and salsa on the table at these prices that's a joke. The best part of the meal was the music, a very good guitar player. The food absolutely was not worth it I would never come back in million years. Oh yeah had a 45 minutes wait for our food that came back cold and dry. Coronado Springs has a few dining options, but it seems Maya is the best for a fine dining experience that is also conducive for small children. My wife and I shared a steak, chicken and chorizo dish which came with rice and beans and tortillas. Of course my kids love the chicken and fries. Pricing is on the deep end as you would expect but it's comparable to the other restaurants on the resort. Hopefully you get a seat by the window where you have a nice view of the water. I'm no rookie when it comes to Disney restaurants. They tend to be overpriced and serve average food but overall they do have great options. This was not what I would consider great. We came after a conference at the Coronado with a group of 8. The food was quite expensive for what it seemed to be so we expected/hoped for great food. Well we hoped for quite a while seeing as we didn't get our food for at least an hour after getting there even though we were ready to order almost immediately. We were starving and were shocked at how long it took. When it finally did arrive, the food was subpar and quite disappointing. One our party even had a hair in theirs and it took forever for her to get a new plate. We must've been there for 2 hours. Maya Grill is in Disney's Coronado Spring resort, and I was not expecting to be as good as it was. There was a wide variety of options, and they were open to substitutions. It was a little overpriced, but that it to be expected at a Disney resort. We also had a margarita flight - the horchata marg was unreal, and the jalapeno marg was satisfying and unique. The ancho chile creme brulee was also delicious. The entrees themselves were okay. All good options but nothing to go out of your way for. Our server was super nice too! read more

Came in very late at night, and ended up being served by Deysi - had a great time, wonderful service and fast. Can be hard to get in here some times when the hotel is full, but if you can manage its one of the better places on property to eat, and I highly recommend Deysi as your server! read more

I was celebrating our 45th Anniversary and had a wonderful weekend planned. We had dinner here on August 26. While everything seemed good quite a few hours later I started feeling so sick we had to leave the hotel to drive home. I got a really bad case of food poisoning. I couldn't leave my bathroom all night long. Next morning we had to go back to the hotel to check out on the 27 instead of staying and celebrating our anniversary with a nice dinner followed by drinks and fireworks at Capa's. terrace. No I was still very sick from the food at Maya Grill. After we checked out the assistant manager from Maya called me I explained how sick I was from dinner the night before and how we could no longer celebrate our 45 wedding an anniversary. She said she was sorry and she refund our meals. She never refunded our meal. This was our 45th wedding anniversary ruined because of food poisoning from Maya Grill. The very least they could do was honor what they said and refund the meal. Be careful where you eat food poisoning can ruin your plans. read more

Went to Maya Grill for the first time on Thursday. I've always loved the Coronado springs hotel so decided to check that restaurant out. As soon as I approached the host I was greeted and then walked to my table. They staff was super friendly and the food was AMAZING. I had the chicken tinga enchiladas and they were delicious. They were served with black beans, rice, guacamole, onions and peppers, sour cream, cheese and pico. We also had the Brussels sprouts and plantains. Everything was delicious. We also had two drinks before dinner that were fantastic. For dessert we ordered the 50th anniversary treat. On wow. Definitely a 4 person dessert as it was huge but also very well done. Good service. Food was just okay and is overpriced, but that's Disney. It's open pretty much only for dinner. It isn't truly a Southwestern menu, as the food doesn't come smothered in red or green chile sauce, but the portions are big and filling. I got the Tres Amigos platter with three different types of enchiladas. Also comes with rice, beans, and a cornbread muffin. Overall three. I liked that at the end of our meal, the manager came out to introduce himself and ask us how our meal and stay were. Bump up to four stars. read more

This is a really good option at Disney World when you don't want to eat in the parks and would like to explore another resort property. Maya Grill is reasonably priced, has a decent number of options and the food is delicious. My go-to is the fajita skillet (beef) with the beef being extremely tender. Portion size is decent. I do wish the side options were better, but it's WDW so sometimes you take what you can get. Shrimp tacos are also good, but not to the level of the fajita IMHO. My kids enjoy the chicken taco on the kids menu. Great selection of margaritas, and the restaurant is warm and well-themed. On our most recent trip there was a guitar player who was playing and fingerpicking popular music while wandering (wirelessly) thru the entry area. He was truly talented, and was a great addition without the 'mariachi band' or 'strolling violin' player vibe. It's probably 3.5 stars, but again that isn't an option. If you like Mexican food it's a good choice. read more

If you're a foodie leave the Disney Coronado Springs Resort as quickly as you can!!! Find a cab or car rental place and head to International Drive where the decent restaurants are located. They need a new Executive Chef to run the resort's food offerings. Maya gets two stars because my waiter was friendly, super-nice and saved the dining experience from total awfulness. My coworker and I have been visiting for a conference and came to Maya one night and were blown away by the experience! From the attentive hostess, to our fabulous server Rebekah, to multiple visits from the manager Randal, even a serenade by a wonderful musician- they truly made our dining experience memorable. We both had dietary restrictions and the kitchen was deliciously accommodating. We ended up coming back the following night and received the star treatment by everyone there. Maya Grill is the "table service" restaurant located in the Coronado Springs Resort. While the food was really good, the service left a lot to be desired. I visited Maya Grill one night without a reservation. Normally that would have meant a huge wait, but they were very accommodating. The first thing I noticed as we were lead to our table was the live musician. Oftentimes live music in restaurants can be distracting and overbearing, but this artist was set far enough away from the tables. The menu was similar to what you would find at any Mexican themed restaurant. I went with a combination fajita plate of chicken, shrimp and steak. The meats were perfectly prepared and quite flavorful. The steak was so tender that it melted in my mouth which did take some getting used to. I am still not sure how they made steak so tender, but I suspect it was cooked for a long time in some sort of liquid. If you prefer your steak to have more of a "give" to it, I'd stick with the chicken or shrimp. The one negative to this meal was a big one; the service was horrible. Despite the restaurant not being full, the food took a very long time to arrive, and the server was nearly non existent. Other than the initial taking of the order, I rarely saw her. It got to the point where I had to flag down another server to ask for a drink refill and then the same thing for the check. Other than the poor service, I enjoyed my meal at the Maya Grill. I don't know that it would be worth a trip if you're staying at another resort, but if you're at Coronado, I encourage you to try the Maya Grill. read more

The Maya Grill is a pretty decent place to eat. The evening that we came in, they weren't very busy. We were seated immediately by the hostess, and greeted by the live entertainment, (a guy playing several different instruments to the background music) as well as our waiter - we felt very welcomed. We started with the flight of margaritas, because well, flight of margaritas! There were so many different types of cool sounding margaritas, we decided to try them all. The flight came on a long, thin board - each margarita was stylishly presented in a shot glass, rimmed with different sugars and salts and garnishes. It was really good. We sipped on them throughout our meal and loved all of the samples. As an appetizer, we did the Tacos Durango - three tacos: one beef, one chicken, and one pork. They were all very well seasoned and super yummy. After that, we decided to split the chicken fajitas. They were also fantastic - and our waiter even brought us both corn and flour tortillas upon request. Although tho portion was a little small for the price, (not listed on their website but I believe around $25-$30) everything was really good from the rice to the street corn, to the veggies, to the chicken, which was very moist and flavorful. We hung out in here for a while, enjoying our surroundings - the nice decor, and the entertainment being provided by the guy with the guitars who was really fantastic. All in all, we were really glad we came all the way down to the Coronado resort to experience the Maya Grill. It was definitely worth it - four solid stars! read more

Then we got to Maya Grill. Sari was our server. She made us laugh and treated us as long lost friends. Suddenly, our stress melted away. She suggested the blueberry mango mint margarita. It was quite tasty. She made the whole experience so much better. Now we are ready to celebrate. She changed everything so we can enjoy this weekend. This is the ONLY time I have ever been dissatisfied at a Disney Resort. I ordered steak (medium-well), while my date ordered some sort of fish tacos. 1. They messed up my order and brought something completely different. The waiter apologized and took the food back. 2. The steak was obviously rushed and delivered to the table cooked rare, at best. I had to send it back again. 3. Finally, they got it right, after my date was nearly finished (I ate one of her tacos because I was starving). Then, at about 1am, my girlfriend is terribly sick from food poisoning. I felt ill myself, but not as bad. I don't know if this was just a big fluke or something else, but I wasn't happy. read more

A couple of my work associates and I ate at the Maya Grill at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort this past week, and we had a great experience. The restaurant is open for dinner, and reservations are recommended. The Grill is decorated like a high-end Spanish / Mexican steakhouse with a center courtyard fountain, and it offers a nice respite for a quiet dinner or business meeting. The legendary Disney customer service is on full display at the Maya Grill, and our server went out of his way to make sure that our meal was exceptional. We started with some delicious grilled calamari served with roasted nopales, tomato and chili lime vinaigrette. For my main course I ordered the salmon a la Plancha which was pan-seared and tequila-glazed salmon with boniato and chorizo mashed potatoes. We shared a pitcher of sangria with our meal, and followed up with some coconut flan to end the dinner. It was nice just to kick back and enjoy the unhurried atmosphere of the Maya Grill. read more

My dinner came with chips and red and green salsa, which was fine. I had a chicken Caesar salad and an order of guacamole. The Caesar salad was relatively straightforward. The guacamole was clearly not fresh but was satisfactory. I had the traditional margarita on the rocks. It was tasty, not the best margarita I've ever had but refreshing enough. The first time I came to Maya Grill I ordered the steak - it was tender and flavorful and the sides that came with it were super tasty. I also had the pineapple hibiscus margarita which was well-mixed and delicious. I recently came back on my most recent vacation and was so floored by the food, I ate there twice in just a few days. The tortilla soup with a cilantro broth was crazy good. I ordered the beef short rib in a mole sauce both times I went and I honestly will be dreaming about that dish until I get back there. My partner ordered the roast pork dish and she says it was the best thing she ever ate. We can also attest that the berries and cream dessert shot with grand marnier and the mexican chocolate panna cotta are both amazing. I'm confident I would enjoy anything off their menu. read more

My family arrived at the beautiful Coronado Spring resort in the evening and, after unpacking, didn't look for a place to eat until around 10 pm. We decided to treat ourselves to a sit-down meal at the Maya Grill, hoping their late-late dinner meals would still be good. We were not at ALL disappointed! To start, the atmosphere was beautiful (very Mayan/Mexican) and you could tell that our waiter was very experienced. After a little help from him deciding on what to order, we got a delicious Calamari appetizer along with the complimentary bread basket of corn bread and baked tortilla pieces with cinnamon butter and some other kind of yummy dip! Minutes after that was brought out, our 16-oz steak and chicken breast arrived, each served with sautéed veggies, corn, rice, beans, guacamole, sour cream, and mini corn tortillas! By the end of the meal we had concluded that our Disney trip was off to a successful start! For Disney's higher prices, they do NOT slack on service or food quality when it comes to their sit-down restaurants! read more

I was staying at the Coronado Springs so I wanted to give this restaurant a try even though the Yelp reviews were mediocre. We ordered the calamari as an appetizer. The calamari was pretty flavorful and the dipping sauce not to the parties flavor preference so it mostly went uneaten. We also had the fried tomatillos which included 3 very small of them but they were packed with flavor. My wife ordered the shrimp tacos which she enjoyed. I ordered the fajita skillet. The chunks of steak were very thickly cut and they only provided 3 VERY SMALL tortillas (if you order this, ask for 2 extra tortillas). The presentation and the flavor on the fajitas were nice. HOWEVER BIG NOTE, everyone's meals came with a flavored rice. I like salted things, however I feel the chef may have lost the top of the salt shaker (aka fell off) when preparing the meal because of the intense salt flavor. They had 5 varieties of dessert shots and they were $3. They all were great. BTW- MOST IMPORTANT NOTE: Anyone with kids with little patience, I suggest staying away from this restaurant. Our meal took 2 hours from start to finish. I sent my children to the arcade during the last 30 minutes. Many of the reviews state the service is slow and it absolutely is. Management definitely needs to make some changes at this restaurant as it does not live up to Disney standards. I would rate this restaurant at 2.4 stars rounding down to 2 stars. One of the best meals I've ever had at Disney! Visited with my husband and two children while staying at the resort. The complimentary bread was great! The pork was extremely flavorful and the green Chile sauce on the side was great. Also was accompanied by fresh corn tortillas, tortilla chips, guacamole, and sour cream. Everything was wonderful. I stayed at the Coronado Springs resort in 2009 and 2010. I was on the Disney Dining Plan and wasn't worrying about food prices at all since it was included with my trip. I had Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner at Maya Grill throughout my week long stay here. The food was excellent for my friend and I.
