Dr. Muñoz is very trustworthy and I can't even begin to explain enough reasons why. 2 years ago,…read morewhen my son was a newborn, Dr. Muñoz came to visit at PIH hospital where she immediately caught red flags in my newborn son, that the nurses and staff overlooked. Because of Dr. Muñoz my son was evaluated immediately into the NICU where he spent 4 days into proper care and healing. In addition, I have 2 toddlers now who are non-verbal on the spectrum, which can be very difficult to understand when they might be bothered by any sickness as they cannot communicate. However, Dr. Muñoz has always been able to identify and clearly name any sickness they have gone through and has always been on point. With her judgement, they've always received speedy recovery and care. Ever since her discernment with my newborn son 2 years ago, she has completely gained my trust! Not to mention how incredibly kind and compassionate she was towards me as a mama in post-partum, always asking with genuine care how I was doing. I love this office and their friendly staff so much! I highly recommend this practice to any mamas out there whom are looking for a trustworthy office!

Came in super nervous about the whole process but the staff are very welcoming and reassuring me…read morethat they have done this plenty of times with babies her age(11 months old). Which are very more aware and squirmy. The process took about 3ish hours because we wanted to get the numbing cream which they take their time in making sure she is numb. Once it's set in the process of actually piercing her ears was so quick! The Dr. is very sweet and took her time. I never once felt rushed out of here. One of her ears got a little reaction to the cream ,so she felt it a bit but the other one she didn't even notice it being done. In my opinion it was great doing it at a later age since alot of babies were crying so much and it hurt my heart!! So highly recommend waiting to be able to use the numbing cream. She cried a bit and was over it. I also want to add I know there is a preference on piercing gun and just a needle because they say the healing process is different but my daughter has already a few weeks healing and she has not had any problems from the piercing gun.

Dr Miyamoto and his staff are amazing! Everyone at this office is great. Due to same day visits I…read morethink we've seen every doctor and nurse practitioner. I have been happy with everyone but Dr Miyamoto and his two assistants are extra special. Often the 3 work together to keep everyone calm, happy, and moving along efficiently. Fabiola always offers my 2 year old coloring pages to keep him busy. She is always happy to see us and makes the visit fun for everyone. She does injections very quickly and always gives tips on how to help my babies feel better like massaging injection sites or throwing out sick toothbrushes. They remember all our names, treat us with respect, explain procedures and illnesses. Dr Miyamoto is always calm and gentle. His bedside manner with children is incredible. He also gives tips on every day care like discipline and potty training. We receive a children's book at each well baby check up. My son has always hated being touched by doctors (even when we were in the hospital right after birth) it has taken nearly 3 years but we finally had a cry free visit which included a strep test! Only a month ago he had a strep test by a different nurse and she called in reinforcements to hold him down :( Fabiola on the other hand explain to him and me exactly what she was going to do and what each of us needed to do. He proceeded to lay down calmly and open his mouth nice and wide. I almost cried tears of joy at the difference. This staff continues to treat him calmly and as he has gotten to know them, he has warmed up. I really cannot say enough good things! Also at this office you can check in at home on your computer or your phone which eliminates most paperwork and extra time at the office. Side note: when my son was first born they told me Dr. Miyamoto wasn't accepting any new patients so I got in with a different doctor. But then, I simply asked if his next appointment could be with Dr. M and they said yes, we've seen him ever since! :)

My son's pediatrician, very gentle and mild mannered. Very professional with years and years of…read moreexperience. My son''s blood test results yielded a borderline result and rather than accept those results and put us through the rigorous treatment, this doctor requested a reetake of the test which resulted in a clearer outcome. We appreciated the extra thought and time that he spent with us. Not rushed, completely in the moment and focused on my son. Many doctors will try to push you out the door as quickly as they can, not this one.

Dr.Ghiya is an outstanding Pediatrician. He (& his daughter) have seen my 3 children since birth…read more(ages 9, 7, & 3). Dr. Ghiya and his staff have always been attentive to my family's care and health concerns. It has always been easy to schedule same day/ next day appointments. The office and rooms are always clean and all staff is friendly and welcoming.

The staff is nice, but the doctor himself is terrible. I came here because of the high reviews and…read morefor over a year we have received terrible diagnosis from Dr. Ghiya. He doesn't stay in the room longer than 5 minutes, dismisses all your concerns, and gives you bad attitude when you press certain questions. (Regarding your concerns). His daughter, who also practices here is AMAZING. i purposely would schedule my Children's appointments on her days because she shows concern, actively looks for what's wrong, and listens to you. My youngest (1year) was having respiratory problems and i thought it was a cold, she thought he had fluid in his lungs and ran tests to give medication. I can not praise her enough, she is thorough Honestly, i take my kids to the ER more than i take them to Dr. Ghiya. I should have gotten another doctor a lot sooner, but I'm sorry to say laziness caught hold. Edit 11/29/19: i took my kids to the doctor again and Dr. Ghiya sat in the office for an extra 5 minutes to address this yelp review. Saying "sorry" and that he's appreciate it if i changed my review. He also went on to say, and i quote "obviously you need more attention so I'm sorry i thought you understood". I told him I'd think about changing the review, but his behavior in one appointment doesn't change the past 10+ appointments. Well today i recieved a letter saying Dr. Ghiya is refusing treatment for my children because i broke his trust by writing this HONEST REVIEW of his services. Thank goodness my children's NEW insurance kicked in and i can stop taking them to Dr. Ghiya. Avoid him at all costs. EDITED TO ADD: Dr. Ghiya replied to my review by saying they have treated us for 10 years. He doesn't even know his patients! I have only brought my children here since my daughter was born in Sept. 2016. And my oldest child is 8. How can he see & treat my children for 10 years if they weren't born?! So concerned with honest reviews that he's willing to lie.
