I've had not so client-centered doctors in the past and have been disappointed by the way they treat their patients. Even making an appointment with the receptionist was so easy and fast. I didn't even have to wait half a year for a PA or Dr. to see me (previous doctors office). On my appointment date my wait time was not long, Dr. Cristina acknowledged me by my name which was really comforting and welcoming which really made me feel appreciated. She has such a friendly demeanor and it made it so much easier to ask questions regarding my health. I honestly don't know what else to say but honestly nothing but

I would not recommend this pediatrician's office based on my experiences with the doctor and staff…read more The atmosphere in this office has consistently felt hostile and uncomfortable. When you have a different opinion or question something regarding your child's care, instead of feeling heard and respected, you are met with arguing, defensiveness, and an aggressive attitude. As a parent, I should be able to ask questions, express concerns, and disagree with a recommendation without feeling like I am being attacked or treated as a problem. Communication between a doctor and a parent should be respectful and professional, especially when it involves a child's health.

Dr. Monares was highly knowledgeable and took roughly two hours with my husband at his appointment. My husband went in for a physical after many years of not going to the doctor. My family to me is my world and when they are in need of medical attention and I know Kaiser will always over look and only give us maybe 15 minutes of their time and send us home without a diagnosis I leave wanting to just go off on them, it takes a lot out of me to not lose my cool. Now, I go to Dr. Monares knowing when I leave his office A. With a diagnosis B. With a plan C. Explanation in detail of what is going on. He made my children very comfortable, he explained to them, had fun with them, and at the end THEY told me what the plan was. I left with a plan of care, he didn't just go with the plan I was wanting an easy fix that would eventually harm me instead (because that's what I know from Kaiser band aids) he even confirmed I have a Ventral Hernia which I suspected for the past 5 yrs and Kaiser said no sweetheart you're just fat! I can go on forever but, I want to give Dr Monares a HUGE thank you for always coming through!! Abrego party of 5!!

I really appreciate their appointment system and being able to get same or next day appointments when needed. Recently, my son had several days of fever, red eyes, and a rash on his hands and feet. I assumed it was hand, foot, and mouth disease, but during the exam the rash on his feet had already disappeared. Even though my son wasn't showing all the symptoms of Kawasaki Disease, Dr. Aguilar trusted his instincts, explained his suspicions and the urgency of treatment within 10 days of fever onset, and ordered blood work to confirm. After researching Kawasaki Disease myself, I took my son to the ER and shared Dr. Aguilar's concerns. They confirmed it was Kawasaki, admitted him, and started treatment right away. Thankfully, my son is doing much better and has no lasting heart damage. I'm incredibly grateful for Dr. Aguilar's quick thinking and for taking my concerns seriously, even with my son not showing all of the typical symptoms.

Dr. Aguilar had told me at least 6 months in advance that he would only be taking PPO, so I planned for it and switched my insurance. This also coincided with a life event which made sure I had PPO insurance before the change. To my surprise, when I was trying to book physicals and flu shots for my kids, I was informed of the access fee to book an appointment. This, on top of the co-pay, and everything else they submit to the insurance. To say I was angry, undermines the feeling. I delayed my kids' appointments until Jan 2026 and switched to a new PCP. My new PCP has had to request my children's records more than once, now. The price of health insurance has increased significantly and adding an access fee on top of that really adds insult to injury.
