Went in for my nephew he is 17 Dr. Pardo was very patient and made my nephew feel comfortable to open up with him. The nurse that helped us was Lorena and Patty they were extremely nice and helpful with us as my nephew was having a hard time with his shots. I would definitely recommend Dr. Pardo to future patients. The front desk does need improvement with how they greet patients but the nurses are great. read more

if I can put negative 5 stars I would, dr pardo discharged my daughters because my 3 year old autistic son is not vaccinated, my 15 year ikd & 11 year old are fully vaccinated, this has been our family practice for 30+ years. and as of now my daughters are without a pediatrician it has been a whole year already & they still tefuse services to my daughters. this is terrible. The type of care of here is bare minimum at best.. Dr. Pardo is arrogant and will happily waste hours of your time just to look your child over for thirty seconds and then leaves. Then when asked why our time wasn't being respected, Dr. Pardo said that's how he "normally treats people" and if I didn't like it I could "go elsewhere". So sad that the arrogance and lack luster performance of this low-end doctor is affecting my child's care by wasting our time and making my son feel super uncomfortable. Creepy vibes from him as well.. 1/10, find a better doctor.. it won't be hard. The ladies at the front are incredibly nice, so no fault at all to them. I have been bringing my daughter here for years & haven't had an issue until today . The staff is great, but DR.Pardo was rude & pushing a vaccine that's is not required by schools . & He lied by saying it was MANDATORY for school . My daughter is 13 & is not required to get the vaccine until she's 18 & going to college . He said he was going to refuse services to us unless she gets the vaccine now! All I wanted to do was check with the school first to make sure she needed it . I called & the school said it was NOT mandatory . The fact that he lied and told me I Can no longer be seen there is insane ! This had never happened to me. Be careful!!! read more

I do like it here but HATE how much they focus on weight. My kids are SO healthy and active. They're stalky like my husband and TALL like me. My dad is 6 foot 5! They ALWAYS mention weight at the appointments and they do it in front of the children which I hate. I don't want my kids to be obsessed with being skinny. My daughter was a stalky toddler and then at age 5 she had a HUGE height growth spurt and lost all her baby fat. At ever 6 year checkup, her doctor here said " great job! You lost weight!" My visits to Whittier Pediatrics have been good! Yes, I settle for the P.A but she's knowledgeable, shows concern and is really nice. She speaks a little fast but hears your concerns. My wait to be seen has not been more than 20 minute. As a parent We are our childs first Dr. (Seriously) there so much parent research you can do. So if something is wrong minimal or not. Like Yelpette Christy A writes "Know before you go". So you can ask proper questions! I'm going to give 5 stars for offering Saturday appointments & the same day appointments. If I could give zero stars or negative I would! I started going here this past September due to change of insurance and having medi-cal. I was recommended to Dr.Pardo and so I got an appointment right away which was nice and the front desk lady was very welcoming. My two sons 3yr and 5yr old and my oldest one being autistic, we're due for behind vaccinations. After having an appointment and my son getting sick actually we rescheduled and came back this past week and we did our physical and when I expressed that I didn't want my children to get all the shots( 6shots) for one of my sons in one visit. Dr Pardo started to question why I'd put my kids in danger and that they don't accommodate splitting up vaccines and I cried and gave my person reason as to why I wanted to split them up. He belittled me and pretty much refused service unless I guaranteed I'd vaccinate them fully that day. I told Dr. Pardo how unprofessional and how inhuman he treated myself and my children especially my special needs child. He said good luck finding a doctor who would and walked out! They refused service to me and treated my special needs child like he was an animal. I would never go here again and I would never want anyone to go here. Trust me I have found better treatment and a clinic to accommodate. Please don't go here. Your children deserve better!!! read more

Dr. Chon was highly recommended by the hospital I gave birth at, so we felt lucky that this was where our insurance assigned us. Unfortunately, we never got to meet him. We did, however, meet Dr. Simona and Dr. Pardo. The 1st visit with each of them was pleasant. Subsequent visits only left us feeling uncomfortable and a bit angry. First Dr. Simona was really great and seemed like a good fit. But then she became pushy about our newborns weight and wanting us to give her formula. After several visits with her we opted to see Dr. Pardo instead. He was fine. But we scheduled our baby's 4 mo visit more than 7 weeks in advance only to be called 2 days before to try to get us to come in earlier because he had double booked himself. We specifically made the appointment for the time we did because it best fits my husband's working schedule. We went in at the scheduled time and despite Dr. Pardo apparently having somewhere else he needed to be, still waited. Long story short, we disagreed about following the vaccination schedule we had previously discussed with Dr. Simona (Delaying ONE of the five vaccinations by 3 weeks), and he told us to find a new doctor as he would no longer split vaccines. It made no sense to me that he took such an issue with a schedule already in practice. He was pushing to give the 5th vaccine 3 weeks early, and because we declined to do so, he dropped my baby as a patient. Then, in attempt to get clarity I wanted to ask the nurse if we'd still be able to at least get that vaccine in 3 weeks time, and then from then on find a new doctor for her 6 month vaccines. I was waiting at the front desk and was approached by a nurse. I didn't catch her name, but she was an older woman... I asked my question and was met with extreme rudeness and attitude. After this encounter, I am grateful to no longer have to deal with this office. It's just a shame I never got to experience the excellence I was told practiced here. Edited to add: I just realized the irony in having Dr. Pardo give one of the reasons for not wanting to split the one vaccine as us having difficulty remembering/keeping track of when vaccinations are due when he tried to get us to bump up our appointment, which was scheduled nearly 2 months in advance, because he double booked himself.
