Mind Games says that it is the creative shop for minds at play…read more In some areas they are highly successful. They have the largest and most diverse collection of jigsaw puzzles. I have a friend who loves jigsaw puzzles and she would thoroughly enjoy the store. I also really liked their sword collection. They had a beautiful collection of swords hanging near the main desk. There were a few cute animated toys, such as a small race course near the front entrance of the store. I did feel it was really small, even for my young grandson. I was fascinated by this toy bird that continued to fly circles around the ceiling near the entrance. Service was great. I was offered help as soon as I entered the store. They were very nice. I didn't ask any prices, so I can't really speak to the cost value. I would call this a niche store. It is for people who have an interest or niche that they are in search of. I am still wondering about that bird flying overhead. Pretty cool toy.

Everything is priced fine I'd say. First floor was comics and some toys, and the downstairs was for Magic I think. They have DC, Marvel, other graphic novels, anime merch, manga, and card games. Was able to find the comic I wanted easily. Good selection of new issues and variants as well. A seating area to read comics too. I'd definitely come again if I lived closer to this location!

I was wandering the neighborhood and stumbled upon this shop. It's been some years since I…read morecollected comic books because they started taking up too much space over the decades and because I started getting annoyed with DC and Marvel for their endless reboots, making everything I'd read before no longer cannon. However, I still love the characters and thought I'd pop in to see what's new since I stopped reading. I caught the owner at a moment when he had to care for a personal issue, as he was explaining to a customer that he had to step a way for a bit soon. I told him to feel free to kick me out and close the shop, I'm just there out of curiosity than a need to actually buy anything. I told him I'm a former collector. He insisted I stay and browse the comics and even take my time to read. I could mind the shop for him and just let anyone who comes in while he's away know that he will be back soon. I happily agreed and was a bit taken aback by his trust and kindness. He literally did leave me alone in his shop for a good 20 minutes. His is the sort of shop I preferred when I collected comics. The kind where the books are on the rack and you can flip through them a bit before you buy. This is in contrast to the stores that keep their comics bagged and you need to commit to buying before you know whether you will enjoy the storyline or the art. I don't live in the area, but if I did, I'd be a regular here. A small business definitely worth supporting.

We visited this bookstore after seeing advertisements for one of their craft nights, and it was a…read morelovely experience. The shop is quaint, but it carries a thoughtfully curated selection of books from a variety of genres. Their social media was also very colorful and eye-catching. One thing to note is that the store requires using stairs. I didn't notice signage for an elevator or an alternative, though it's possible I didn't see it. If there isn't a sign already, more visible signage would be helpful for visitors with different accessibility needs. The store also offers a selection of merchandise catering to different interests, including hats, stickers, bags, and other gifts/trinkets. Prices were fair for a small book-store and conditions of the books. Staff were attentive, checking in on both customers and craft night participants throughout our time. Flyers and posters about upcoming events, book clubs, craft nights, and staff recommendations were clearly displayed around the store. Our group enthusiastically noted the eye-catching small bookshelf craft displayed next to the register! The space was clean and organized. The craft area was arranged ready with supplies and appeared freshly cleaned before the event began. The seating seemed to be a little tight but it's a small store to begin with. Pricing for events seemed fair and registration process seemed reasonable. We had a last minute person join our group to a sold-out event and staff was helpful finding a solution. Shelves and merchandise displays were tidy and engaging to customers. The single-room bathroom was also clean. The beautiful star-pattern wallpaper added a whimsical touch--I almost wanted to take a picture of it but it's a bathroom lol. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and want to return, especially for future craft nights.
