STAY AWAY! I went with my daughter. She got a full set and I got a pedicure. First off I asked for gel ex but as I was getting my pedi I noticed the lady putting acrilic on my daughter- without asking! Then she shaped the nails round, not almond like my daughter asked. The nail polish is a whole nother level of awful. It should be French with a star on the ring finger. The colors are running and the polish is bubbly and rough. It looks like an elementary schoolers art project! It's so bad we went straight to another salon to have them fixed! My pedicure was basically a $50 polish change! No massage at all she just slapped scrub and potion on my legs with no care and not massage. The whole experience was awful and a waist of money. Don't make the same mistake as I did. $50 pedi didn't feel like a pedi at all. Barely used any product and did a moment's worth of a massage. Walked over to the mani table and noticed that the floor wasn't clean (pic). The mani was $20, should have been $5. I gave a 20% tip, which brought the total to $84 for the worst mani/pedi experience, ever. read more

Always get great service and my feet feel so good after the massage and skin conditioner. Would recommend highly for anyone. They have taken good care of my granddaughter when she gets manicure as well. Very reasonable prices. read more

This place is a joke that falsely advertises the services that they offer. Their menu book clearly states what products you should get with each level of service. But that's not what will happen. I asked for a basic pedicure. The basic is advertised to include 4 products. However for $25, you get your cuticles removed with no products. The nail technician didn't even touch my entire foot!!!! She rubbed the yellow callus remover twice ON MY ANKLE!!! I asked her to round out my nails. Apparently square means round in her world. I was going to have my toes painted but I was so disgusted at the total mistepresentation of the advertised services, I left. If I could give less than 1 star, I would. read more

Although the wax service that I got here was very good, it was not clean at all. Went into a back room and laid on a table with my head on a towel (no idea if it was dirty or not), and the woman who waxed me double dipped the stick instead of using a new one after applying the wax to my skin. The wax was also way too hot and I received burn marks from them. Do not get waxed here, go to an actual waxing studio. read more

Watch out for your joints! It's a mediocre manicure but the women there are very aggressive and will almost pull your fingers out of their joints. The pedicure wasn't very clean, and it felt like she was pulling my nails away from the skin. There seemed to be some regulars, so I guess some people have really good experiences. Unfortunately, there is a lack of good, reasonably priced nail salons in this area. I will probably not return. read more

I had a terrible experience at Maxi. I was trying out a new salon to get my fill done and the first time I went, I did not have any issues. The tech recommended that I get all new nails and I agreed because I hadn't in a while. The second time I went, the same tech started ripping my nails off telling me they were old. Not only did it hurt but I told her that I had just gotten new nails last time under her recommendation. She sat there and argued with me for 5 minute that I hadn't. I told her I still had the receipt from last time and she still charged me $10 for the two nails that she ripped off. I had never experienced this before at any other salon. read more

Stop in before a recent vacation.Got a 'basic' pedicure-he pretty much just changed my polish ~ no cuticle trimed, ect.....with no top coat it was chipped by the 3ed day. I was greeted immediately and they made time for me even though I was a walk in on a busy Friday afternoon. I came for a pedicure, manicure, and eyebrow wax. Their range of gel colors was impressive but the best part was my wax! The lady who did them was very careful and actually listened to what I wanted. I would highly advise avoiding this nail salon if possible. I was visiting Kent Narrows and highly in need of a mani pedi. Due to limited options I took a chance with Maxi Nails due to its convenient location. I was happy to be attended to immediately by an Asian man. Everything was going well, including my perception of the cleanliness of the salon, until it came time to cut my cuticle. 3 of my nails on my right were cut so much that they bled. I asked the guy to stop cutting my cuticle but either he didn't hear me or ignored me in hopes he could do better. 2 more nails and another bleeding cuticle in I insisted that he stop. Post the cuticle debacle things were smoother despite an almost dry nail polish and only semi decent nail painting job. The nail drying stations were subpar as the only one for which both the top and bottom dyers worked made tons of noise. Mani pedi came to $37 total. I am so disappointed, a friend got me a gift card for my nails, i decided to get a gel full set, i came in with old nails and asked she measure the length by that, she completely ignored my instructions, made it too short , i also have two different lengths on both hands, and they are beyond shaped bad, ugly and unattractive at all, id advice against this place, they have no idea what they are doing. This is literally the worst nail salon I have EVER been to. It was a complete waste of $70 for a gel mani/pedi. The pedicure towels were wet and smelled like mold. I was charged $10 extra for services I did not ask for. AND my gel manicure started to peel off after just 3 days. I went back and a woman re-painted my nails. However, she appeared to be extremely annoyed, rushed through the manicure and did an extremely sloppy job. Beware, this salon is horrible! Take your business elsewhere! read more

I have never ever done a review before but this place needs one! I was hoping for a relaxing morning away from home for a little and ended up having a horrible time! Not a very friendly environment but I was okay since I could entertain myself. However, the service itself was so poor. They barely gave me a massage I felt that I was rushed, my nails dont look nice at all. As I was walking to get my mani done the thing that they put on my foot rubbed btw my nails I told the lady and she was all upset bc she had to fix it. SO not friendly!
