I am glad I was encouraged to return to Island Nails. Specifically, I want to acknowledge the…read moreimprovement in service. I can easily recommend a basic pedicure and believe other services will be done as well. I received a well done professional pedicure by Paul. I was able to have short notice appointment. My pedicure was a basic, gentle and complete. I was not rushed to pick color and was given extra time to sit in the chair for my polish to dry. I did not feel pressure to get more than a basic pedicure. The shop and bathroom were clean and brightly painted. A rolling video of beaches rather than noisy television was an extra nice touch. Reason for 1 star reduction. Paul was professional and completed my pedicures as well as allowed me to remain in the chair for my polish to dry. However, he was not available to help me put on my shoes or take my payment. Additionally, the "massage" was incomplete and the hot towel was simply used to wipe off the lotion. Please note this may indeed be an accurate level of service for a basic pedicure-just different than my precious experiences. The lack of upselling was nice, however I was not totally certain what was included. Having the services card would have been helpful and may have resulted in a five star review. Enjoy your next pedicure there.

Since it's convenient for me to go there when I'm in town, it's beyond chaotic!…read more Every time I make an appointment I have to wait. They overbook and then take drop in's who walk in knowing they have too many clients. Not a relaxing time with so much going on. I actually stopped going there but needed to get my nails done when I was in town so decided to try it again. Got a gel pedicure last week and when I woke up the next morning it had faded. This never happened before anywhere. So frustrating!

Came with a friend for the first time - my regular mani was reasonably priced and straightforward,…read morethe polish actually lasted much longer without chipping than I expected! The process/language barrier made the whole appointment experience somewhat confusing though - she left me to dry my nails in front of a small fan before moving on to do another customer's pedicure, so I was unsure when I should be paying (at my previous salon, they always ask me to pay before painting so as not to mess up the polish). My friend also had a confusing experience - she initially wanted dip but they weren't able to accommodate her at our scheduled appointment time so with the wait cutting our available time short, she opted for a regular mani instead, during which the technician repeatedly tried to upsell her back to dip..

I got a mani and a pedi. It was the worst one I have ever gotten. It hurts me even to write this…read morebecause Julie is friendly. She didn't cut my toes or fingernails. She didn't assess the areas that need extra TLC due to hardened skin. The foot massage was about 30 seconds too. And my nails... She didn't use cream even once. I believe the mani service is supposed to come with lotion and "massage." I didn't get either. I got a clear coat on my nails, and some areas are missing application. My fingernails look awful, not only from the splotchy paint but since dried skin still peppers the area. I tipped Julie 20% because she was nice, and I genuinely think she doesn't realize how bad this service is. I am struggling to accept that I just paid $78 for this experience. I am so upset. I will book an appointment somewhere else and hope they can give me the spa treatment I should have received and paid for.

I thought about writing this post but held off until now. I moved from across the bridge where I…read morewas used to high end prices and gorgeous hair! I heard about Levity and wanted to try it since everyone raved about it. So I did, I tried Sam out and just from observation she: - was not personable where she remembered your convos -was more focused on getting another person in the chair -did not achieve my color But that wasn't a huge deal breaker. I came from customer service from my past, if the hair stylist was running late even though they were physically there, you need to at least let the client know. Sam ran 15 minutes late because she was working on a social media video. I asked to speak to the owner and asked him to adjust my hair price that day (more the principle of it) and he said he could not do it and that it was his fault and patted my on the back. Then I was like okay, then he came back and said Sam did not want to do my hair because she thought I wasn't going to tip her or give her the full price of my hair appointment. And you know what, I went through got my hair appointment, tipped her full price and was respectful. But my honest opinion, I was disappointed, and felt that the owner (male husband) was a complete dick and if I could I would give zero stars. Maybe next time someone will think before they treat someone a certain way, especially if they do not know them. I do have to say, there are amazing people who are friendly and kind that work there. However coming from a high end salon which I paid double the price, Levity needs to treat their customer better and be more fair bcuz hubby you are a small fish compared to where I came from.
