Friendly staff, clean spa, reasonable prices. You don't need an appointment to get same day service.

The hairstyle was exactly what I was hoping for and held up well all evening. Thanks for taking special care of me Stephanie and making me feel beautiful!

If you're from out of town and looking for a quality salon, this place is not it…read more They either don't know what they're doing or don't care to provide high level services to match their premium prices. I reached out to 854 to schedule an appointment with Brian who came highly recommended. He was booked as most quality stylists usually are. Alyssa, the receptionist, recommended Jordan who (according to the bio on their website) is "an expert in personalizing color formulation and specializes in cutting edge coloring techniques". Just look at my photos and see for yourself how that could be very misleading. After looking at their premium prices I figured I'd give Jordan a shot! This was a mistake. I knew as soon as I sat down in her chair. The foil placements and just her overall attitude let me know I will not be leaving the salon happy that day. I paid $196 for a sloppy job that left me in tears and with split ends because there was zero effort to even get the cutting done correctly. I reached out to them the next day trying to get it fixed. I will say they did get me in as soon as they could but would charge me an additional $94. There was not a single word of apology and Jordan instead did the absolute opposite and decided to just bleach my entire head. There was no conversation of how I wanted it done or that she would try her hardest to fix this. To make matters worse, the owner Mellisa, dried my hair to "make sure the color was good" had the audacity to tell me my "hair doesn't want to take color" knowing damn well it's her girl that did not pay attention and missed a bunch of spots the first and second round of coloring. You would think with all the competition in town, she would at least pretend to care about new clients that walk through her door. A simple apology goes a long way. This was hard for me write as I do my best to uplift women and support women owned businesses. But they did me dirty and made no effort to fix it, so I will never return or speak highly of this place. I've been getting my hair done for 16 years now and I have never felt so mistreated. $290 and I'm embarrassed to be seen in public. The only good thing that came from this experience is that I realized my regular girl (in Annapolis) is a rockstar and I should never ever take her for granted. Take your money and time somewhere else, ladies. This place ain't it.

Most relaxing nail appointment I've ever had! I did not once feel the stressful -get in & get out-…read morehustle that I've always experienced at nail salons. This place was beautiful, calm, clean, and super friendly. Ken did exactly what I asked for, and the other staff all seemed just as great. I will definitely be back!

I was a customer for about 5 months. No problem with dip powder until I decided to try the gel set…read morecalled "Tiana Collection" As Ken started the set, I noticed a burning sensation after the 2nd nail was done. I let him know it was burning and suggested he lower the UV light that he used to set the gel. He mentioned that the light only had 1 setting and that he couldn't change it. As he continued, I suggested to move the heated UV lamp further away from my nail bed as the temperature and position he had it in was burning my nail bed. I mentioned this as a reminder several times. When I got home that evening, I had to take Tylenol and add ice to my nails to sooth the burning sensation. At this point, I was concerned because the burning radiated from my fingers up my arms. Went the at shop opened, I contacted Ken to let him know what happened. He had me come in to remove the gel. I also asked for compensation, at least a percentage of my money back or have him do dip set later. Jennifer told me they took the gel set off, and took time doing my nails, so there was no compensation or refund of any kind. I suggested to file an insurance claim as this was an injury due to a product they provided. She told me insurance will not pay for it and she didn't see whether I deserved a refund. I have never experienced this sort of hospitality or service at any nail salon. I came here as a referral from a coworker. While still getting familiar with this area, I thought this place would offer great service. If you are thinking of getting nails done at here, be aware because it's not about customer service it's more about money for them. I always wondered why fee for services changed often when I got the same thing each time. Hidden fees no consideration for how they treat their customers. Deluxe pedi and gel with 2 horrible nail designs totaled - $145 and still burning from lamp. Go someplace else. UPDATE: Several hours later, Jennifer, the owner, left me a voicemail asking me to call her back. I returned the call believing she might offer an apology, discount, or some form of resolution. Instead, the conversation focused on my review and why I had posted it. She reiterated that because I chose the service, I was not entitled to any compensation. When I suggested continuing the discussion after she finished with her customer, she declined and continued explaining why she would not provide a refund, discount, or credit. This entire experience was disappointing. Mistakes and adverse reactions can happen, but what stood out to me was being told, "I'm not going to argue with you," when I was simply expressing surprise and concern about what had happened. I was not arguing at all, and the comment felt dismissive. I was left wondering whether I was being treated differently, possibly because I am an African American woman. Regardless of the reason, I did not feel heard or respected during the conversation. Reactions can happen, but how a business responds to a customer who has been injured or harmed by a service says a lot about its values. Unfortunately, I felt dismissed, blamed, and left without any Potential customers should be aware of my experience and make their own informed decision. Wow
