I took my Chevy Malibu 1LT to Dave White Chevy for an oil change (I had bought my brand new Malibu…read morethere a. few years back). My DWC Service Advisor got my car back to the service technician even before my appointment time (I scheduled it myself, online). My wait was very short. In less than 40 minutes after I pulled into the convenient drop off bay, my oil change and tire rotation was complete! (Face masks required in all areas, and CoVid protocols were all in place, they even disinfected my car's interior before handing me back the keys.) The price was terrific! One of the best oil change experiences I've ever had! I highly recommend Dave White Chevy Service Center for an oil change, and multipoint inspections. I know I'm going to keep using Dave White Chevy for service! You should too!

At the time I was driving a car that was a death trap. I didn't have a lot to put down, but I did say how much I was putting down. I'm sitting there talking to the salesman and next thing I know I'm being asked if I can afford $400 which I said yes then it went to five and I said maybe and then it went $600. I was very uneasy because I knew I probably couldn't make the but I said I could probably make it work. Now mind you I have not been shown a car. I told them that I could afford a $10,000 car that was my budget. At the moment that this was happening to me I didn't think about any of this, by the time we were done I was talking to the Financial guy I forgot his name, who was talking to me about what I was getting for my car, blah blah blah and how much my payment would be. Which was way too much. I'm told this new car that was only a couple years old very low miles, I become excited. At the moment, I was OK with it after making payments on it for four months, I started drowning in debt. Borrowing from here borrowing from there. . The problem I have here is not once was I shown a car. Not once was I asked what kind of a car I was interested in. Now I'm not stupid and I'm usually typically knowing what's going on. But this place totally took advantage of me. I would never tell anybody to go there. I have told four people I have talked to not to go there because unless you have a man with you, they will totally take advantage of you. Do not trust this company.

This piece took my van out of commission, we went to O'Reilly in the hopes of a quick fix. Unfortunately they didn't have the exact part we needed and since it was after 7 their distribution center closed. While I attempted to entertain the three little kids the O'Rielly associate, Benny, went way above and beyond for us. He went to home depot in search of a part that would be a temporary fix, with no luck. He drove my husband to AutoZone, again with no luck. We spent basically four hours with Benny trying to find some way to fix our van and be on our way. Sadly we had to delay our trip and spend the night in Toledo, but they had the part for us early in the morning and directed us to someone who could properly attach the part for free. Benny and Eddy at O'Reilly made a terrible situation much better than it would have been otherwise. I only wish I lived in the vicinity so I could frequent the store for all my auto parts needs.

It seemed weird they didn't have any so when I got home I called autp store to see if they carried them and that guy said yes. Headed back out again to the store. By this time I was upset. They then told me they did not have anything or anything like it. I would never return. Who tells someone to go to a craft store for ball bearings? We were making a turbine, not a flower arrangement.

Finally getting around to this review. 2-3 years ago, my ex-wife's Ford Escape had a rotted out…read moresuspension cradle. We went to LaPoint because they were close by. I was told by Shawn Keefe that they were busy, and it would be 3 days before they could remove one from a salvaged Escape in their yard. He billed my Ex's credit card, and we left. We got the call 3 days later, and went to pick up the cradle. However... one of the guys working there had trouble getting the control arms off... and torched a slot in a perfectly good (like new) cradle to get to the nut holding the control arm. When I saw what the worker did, I refused the cradle... and the worker said that it could be welded up. Welding on frames and subframes is a big no-no unless done by an expert welder. So at that point I refused the cradle, and told Shawn to reverse the $350 charge on my Ex's credit card and we would find one somwhere else (keep in mind this was just for the cradle). At that point, Shawn told us "good luck finding another one". So... I made some phone calls and found one on the other side of town at a "you pull it" yard. A friend helped me pull the cradle and we had it out in about 1-1/2 hours. The bonus was... that the "you pull it" cradle came with the steering rack (which had new tie rod ends) ... and also came with the control arms. All for $112 plus tax. If I could give LaPoint Auto parts zero stars, I would. Stay away from this business at all costs.

I have my own side Auto Repair business, and am doing an Engine Job for one of the sisters at the…read moreChurch. I called Lapoint inquiring about an Engine of theirs that I found on car-part.com. I told the guy, I believe his name was Shawn, that I was interested in purchasing the Engine, and stated my Shop name, and he told me that he will be in Michigan the following day and would be able to drop it off for me. I told him thank you and told him that I will be there until 1:00 p.m. at which time i'll be leaving. We both had the understanding. I then told him that I could come in and pay for the Engine, before I left for the day. He said that would be fine. So I drove there, and when I walked in I don't think he had any idea that I was black. His demeanor was completely different. He looked kinda disturbed, but I still continued to present my info to him knowing somehow there would mysteriously be a problem. I gave him all my Shop Info with the address, and swiped my Card. I left to prepare the core Engine for pick-up once their driver would make it to my place. The next day I got up early to make preparation for their arrival, and time just went past. I finally called them because no one called me after waiting and was told that the driver left 3 hours prior and should be close. So I waited and waited, watching the time. finally it's after 12, so I called back, and the guy told me that I was next after the delivery driver left Ann Arbor which is almost an hour and a half from me, but me and him already had the understanding that I was leaving at 1. So still even though i'm not part of their company I gave them the benefit of the doubt and said, could you guys just drop it off another day if you're not going to make it before 1, reminding him of what we talked about. He immediately told me that I could come and pick it up the next day or wait until the following week after I told my customer it would be ready the upcoming weekend. Instead of working something out, he started telling me about their policies and how they don't have control on who gets the delivery first or last, (forgetting what we talked about), So now I've waisted a whole day because he for some reason all of a sudden didn't want my business saying that he has not yet charged my Card if I couldn't wait. This place clearly was not comfortable with my doing business there. So I had to go back on my word which I don't like to do, and change dates on my end because this guy had a change of heart for some mysterious reason, but it's all very clear. This was my first and last time dealing with this place, and advise everyone not to go to this place. It's unreal that in 2021 this craziness still exists but now instead of people putting up black and white only signs, they just casually deny you service in their own funny way. It's truly sad! I'm very disappointed yet not at all surprised and would give lesser than one star if it were possible. Avoid this place, if you don't want to be disappointed!
