I am not that knowledgeable with things like that and probably over panicked but knew that I would be calling places Monday morning. I was referred to KK Collision as well as a couple other local businesses. I called KK Collision and felt completely at ease in speaking with Terry while I described my problem. He asked if I could bring the van in or if we needed it towed. My brother in law offered to meet us there so we put some water in and headed there, since it was only a mile or so away. We were greeted nicely and by the look of under the hood these experienced mechanics seemed to understand the problem immediately. After giving our information and call back number, they said they would call back with an estimate and go from there. I was pleasantly surprised at the call I received far sooner than I had expected, but very impressed. I was given the problem information, what was going to be done and the price which I had no idea if that was good or not good but I have been informed it was a very reasonable price. Now to make this review even better, is that I was called before the end of the day to let me know that everything was taken care of and completed. I was so happy...happy that now I found an honest, reputable, professional local auto business and excited since they also do all sorts of auto repairs. I so not know why I have never stopped in before but thank you to Keith, Terry and the nice young man who assisted us. Also, I must say, the inside of the front of the building you could almost eat off the floor as the saying goes. I must also add they have an adorable fur baby that seems to be in control. After having been a loyal Thayer customer for years (up until this happened), when my dad died and…read moreleft me his 20 year old sports car, of course I took it to Thayer for detailing, an oil change, adjusting a rocker panel, and replacing the window motor on the passenger side. The first time I got it back, the rocker panel was not fixed (later they explained why, and that was fine). It was not properly detailed, windows not clean and the whole back of the car was never even vacuumed. My husband pointed this out to the service manager, who did not care, offer to fix it, etc. They also lost the driver's floormat (it was there when I dropped it off, but not when I picked it up). Service manager said they hang them up on the wall to clean them, then put it back in. Basically, you are SOL. Again, didn't care, very rude and condescending. So I'll be paying to replace that. Also, the driver's door panel around the handle was loose when we picked it up, my husband had to tighten the screw. That's when we noticed the over an inch long crack on the inside of the driver's door by the window. Service manager insisted they never touched that door, of course. Obviously, it appeared that someone perhaps removed that door panel to see how it went in on the passenger side and broke it putting it back together. When we brought the car back the second time, my husband pointed it out to the service manager. Nope, they never touched the door, was the only response we got. I have been in and around that car for 20 years, and there was never a crack there before it went to Thayer. So, I'll be paying to replace that, as well. Also, now the "service engine soon" light is on, so whatever they did during the process of the oil change, I'll be paying to fix that, too. So disgusted, and have never had a "service manager" treat me so poorly, both over the phone, and in person. Up until this all transpired, I would have given them a glowing review.

When we dropped off on October 10th, they said that we had missed our appointment. There was no phone call or attempt made to contact us between when we made the appointment and when we were told we had missed it. Then we were told we couldn't schedule again for a month and a half. Extremely unprofessional for a dealership service center.

Joke of a shop. I'd leave 0 stars if possible. Got a response of "we started looking at it, but stopped because other things came up". Another 7 business days go by, SILENCE. I stop by the shop and they still hadn't even touched it. One of the techs told me "we're pulling it in and out every night because it's a nicer truck" if you're doing that why wouldn't you just diagnose it? Finally on March 10th after 14 business days of hearing absolutely nothing from this joke of a shop I towed my truck to a new shop and got it looked as the next day. Stay AS FAR AWAY as you can from this place.

I was initially impressed with the free towing of my pickup when my starter went out. It was repaired with no problem. However, I took it back to Greer when I had some other issues with my truck due to overheating. I was told I needed a new intake manifold, so I was quoted $1500. Then I received a call that it was going to cost more, around $600, due to labor hours, because they ran into issues. So long story short, the truck was not completely repaired correctly, and I had to keep putting antifreeze in it as there was a leak somewhere. So, someone must not have known how to work on a Ford because now I have a blown head gasket, and the vehicle is dead. Since Greer's mechanic had the engine completely torn down to fix an issue, everything should have been checked. In my opinion, they threw it back together when they "ran into issues" and did not know how to fix a Ford. All someone had to do was let me know what the problem was, or if it was more than they could handle.
