Sam answered right away and set me up with someone to come out the next morning. Before calling Sparkleen, I had browsed Craigslist for mobile detailers, and there were the same five guys posting their ads every day. Most of them were located in Maryland and didn't want to come out to Arlington. Only one guy was located in VA, and he wanted $225 for an exterior detail. Um, no thanks! Sparkleen had their entire price list on their website, and I chose to get the exterior detail, which included washing/waxing/buffing, power washing the mats, interior vacuum, and more. I also had him shampoo the rear carpet as there were some dirt and rust stains back there. WOW. "Eddie" did a fantastic job and the 'Burb looks brand new. They brought all their own equipment, and they also use biodegradable chemicals. My only quibble was that he missed some spots on the carpet with the vacuum. Sam called after Eddie was done and I mentioned the carpet, and he drove out himself to clean up the dirt. THAT is customer service right there. When my other car needs to be detailed, I'll definitely call Sparkleen for their services. Seriously, anyone want a Suburban??

He was very nice and promised to be done as soon as he could; he's a one man team. I sat at a cafe for about 3.5 hours and then he notified me to come back. I recently took my seven year old pickup in for a state inspection and asked them to also look over the whole truck to see what maintenance needed to be done. They emailed my report a few hours later and said the truck looked good; no suggested maintenance. Auto Stop is great. I've been taking my cars here for more than a decade. The email reports they send with pictures of your car are also very helpful. Let's you know what's good, what needs to be taken care of soon, and what can wait if you want. And everybody I've interacted with there has been nice.

He tells me he will send someone else out immediately. So, I waited. By 11, still no one had arrived, and I really had to get to work. I called and left a voice mail (again - they literally make a point of not ever picking up the phone) telling them not to bother showing up. A little while later, Albert calls me back, and I agreed to reschedule for the next morning, figuring - ok, this guy is probably in business by himself - maybe he got busy, it's fine. Of course, the next day someone is supposed to be there by 9. I am not surprised at 9:30 when I get a phone call apologizing for being late - Albert had to take his kids to practice. Fine. But, he insisted he was on his way. 10:45 - still no one. Again, I had plans, so I called to cancel. At 11 I get a phone call that he is at my building. Sorry buddy, you did not check your voice mail (cuse you never pick up your phone) - and I should not have to wait two hours after the appointment time for you to show up. This place is extremely unprofessional. Honestly, if you were too busy to detail my car, you should not have let me make the appointment. I would have preferred that to wasting four hours this week sitting home waiting for you guys to show up.
