We had a fun night bowling with our family for a birthday celebration. There was a crowd but not too much to affect us. We had 3 lanes and about 12 people and the dinosaurs were very cute and helpful for the littles. It was a nice crowd and we ordered a bunch of food. Everything was really good. The wings were on the small side but we got a lot of them. I had the hot chili wings and my husband had bbq. We also had pizza, lemonade and sprite. We were able to take some pizza home. The fries were nice and crispy. Topped all that off with a couple of beers and we were set for the night. We had so much fun that we didn't realize we had an extra hour on our session. The young man with glasses at the front reception is the only reason this review isn't 1 star. He was fantastic--very professional, understanding, and helpful. Unfortunately, the rest of the night was very disappointing. We had to switch lanes not once, not twice, but three times due to glitches. Even after the third move, our lane was still acting up, but we just decided to stay rather than keep moving our party of six. The bowling balls were also very unorganized. We had to walk across to other empty lanes just to find decent ones, which was inconvenient. At the bar, we were looking forward to a small date night. I ordered a cranberry Tito's (simple enough, or so I thought), but it came out terrible. My wife got a sweet drink recommended by the bartender, and it was just okay--certainly not worth the $18, plus another $4 for a Coke. We were hoping to order more, but the service felt a little rude and unwelcoming, so we decided not to return to the bar after finishing our first round. We also planned to try the arcade, but after everything else, we chose to call it a night. Had an amazing time. Staff very attentive upon arrival. However our private hostess Hannah was a little evasive, very standoffish, and lacked communication. She acted as if she could barely open her mouth to speak. Not sure if she was knew, shy or perhaps didn't want to host the group. Her colleague had to step in quite a few times and take on out need. More than a bowling alley, there are video games, VR stations, restaurants, laser tag and more but yet remain an intimate setting. They do need to upgrade the bowling alley as you rent lanes an hour at a time and the constant resets cost a lot of time. read more

Was on league here, the service was pretty bad most nights, and some nights not even tolerable. I'm writing this tonight as this night was especially bad, it took 7 frames to get 1 beer and the 2nd took 12 frames, and funny thing is my waitress didn't bring it my teammate did. Then it was the 9th frame and waitress still hadn't come by so I could atleast close my tab. We went to Max Bowl on a Tuesday for their special, there was a wait so the kids played laser tag and had some food while we waited. Everyone loved their chicken tenders and it came out fast. Me and my family came to bowl for the first time today ever and we had a lot of kids , we could not figure out had to use the tablets to pick a game we couldn't find anybody walking around to help us thankfully I found somebody and he took the time to help us pick a game Angry Birds by the way a good choice he recommended the kids liked it a lot and he made sure we had bumpers on for our lane he had said his name was Colin. we will definitely come back again with the hospitality we were shown and the food and mix drinks were really good as well. I had no idea we had a Max Bowl in Humble until we were invited for a birthday party. The location itself has been newly rennovated and is a kids paradise with laser tag, bowling, overhead zip lines and a fairly large arcade. My friend who hosted the party said the party packages are affordable and include laser tag or bowling, pizzas, party tables, etc. Staff is generally friendly and helpful, although a bit disorganized. They did just re-open to the public after their big renovation, so I'll cut them some slack for that and see if they come together better given some time. They have a full bar for us big kids to enjoy while the little guys are having fun. however, the bar staff was very disorganized and slow. Me and several others standing next to me waited for 1015 minutes waiting for service. I kept thinking they would get to us, but we finally just had to call out and ask to be next. Overall though, it's the perfect place to take the kids on a rainy or very hot, Houston day. We'll be adding this to our list of place to frequent when summer vacation hits. read more

Kid birthday review - I came here for a 7 year old's birthday. Drove out from the city. I was highly impressed. This place is super neat for kids birthday parties! I have no idea what it's like at night for adults, but daytime - kids everywhere. The event very well organized. The young lady did a good job corralling the kids. First the kids bowled. Then pizza and cake in a private party area (the pizza was awful - I don't know if they do in-house or have it delivered, but super gross). I suppose the kids don't mind, but just warning adults if they try it. My friend ordered extra for the party - fried cheese. It was decent. After cake the kids played laser tag. They had a blast. At the end they gave the birthday boy a bowling pin so all the kids could sign it with a sharpie. I thought that was a super cute idea. I believe you can sign up for different packages. Call ahead and ask what they offer for birthday parties and costs. From what I saw they have bowling, laser tag, tons of video games and this high in the air walking - ropes the equipment that looked really cool. Super neat place for kids!!!! Great potential, came here to scout for future event considerations! Food was decent! Charging over $1.00 for soda gun refill after what was spent on foods is absurd though. Unfortunately the arcade area (which is all we came for this time) left **much** to be desired. Specifically the numerous games that were out of service/off/error codes or driving game seats unable to move due to being broken. I get games go down, but that many at one time combined with my next observation is most telling of lack of proper care/attn and a reflection of poor management and poor leadership by owner(s). The air hockey table. Where do I begin? There is SO MUCH FILTH from dust to grime, that many of the holes don't have proper airflow (or any) due to being clogged with sticky black grime. The puck and "sticks" are covered top to bottom with caked on sticky black substances, so bad that the puck stops halfway across the table, and the sticks grab the table. I literally sat them down and nudged them and ZERO movement...with the table/air on. NOTHING slides or moves on air, which means the game is pointless. Impossible to score if nothing functions/moves as it should. I was able to simply rub some of it off with my fingers which says it wouldn't take much effort to clean these up. Based on this table, there's no way they even followed pre-covid cleaning/maintenance standards. I don't expect a sterile environment at an arcade, but It has NOT been cleaned in some time to get to this state of disrepair. I've never seen anything like it. Positives: The games that were operational were fun, prices were ok, staff was there to do their job/avg service......but the air hockey table is something I cannot get past as it's telling of a larger issue. We also didn't love that HALF of their activities are only available in the evenings - in the summer. Overall I do not think we would consider this establishment in it's present condition/operation but instead take our business to Main Event or D&B. Perhaps leadership will read this and take it to heart to make sure these issues are addressed urgently so they do not lose other customers. read more

Where do I start....the front desk staff was rude, I had to find my own shoes (not sure if they were clean) and kids balls behind the desk. In the arcade area 4 games were broken with no help in sight. Plus 3 if the 4 gaming card machines were down as well so you couldn't reload your card. All was extremely overpriced. At the end of our bowling round the clean up function of the lane broke. We decided it was easier to leave than try and request help. All in all this place was a shit show. read more

My wife and I hosted our 9-year-old's birthday party there this last Saturday. Everyone had a blast! The place is built for fun, the food is good, and the price for a kid's party is very reasonable. What keeps this from being a five-star review is the customer service. It's not awful, it's just lacking a bit on a few fronts. 1) The "sales team" hardly ever answers the phone and is lackluster in returning calls. Should you need to speak with someone, always choose the front desk option on the automatic system. They are much better at answering. 2) The staff is pretty young so could probably use some customer service training. Kids parties are nerve racking for parents, so I'm sure they get lots of calls like mine wanting updates and certainty that everything will go well. Some of the staff was very good with this, others weren't. There are plenty of options for CS training that they should probably explore. 3) They don't look for opportunities to create raving fans. At our party, the food was late coming out. We had a very nice party host, but she didn't know what to do beyond telling us that we were looking at a 15-20 minute delay for the pizza. The kids and parents were all seated waiting to eat and she obviously wasn't equipped with a plan when that kind of thing happened. They could have offered snacks and sodas while we wait, they could have suggested we handle video games now and eat after. They could have offered a nominal discount (10% or so) on the final bill. They did nothing. Again, we had fun and the delay on food was a minor issue, but why not use those issues to create lifelong fans? Anyway, I have no problem recommending this place for a kids party or otherwise. I just hope management will take more time to invest in improving their team's chances at winning. read more

Went in just to check it out for my daughters 14th birthday party. We fell in love with the place! Ended up bowling with my 10 year old and 13 year old. It was their first time bowling and was a great experience. We ordered pizza and icees and played in the arcade. They also have a full bar, pool table, lazertag and Sky walk. My family visited. First of all, we paid for one hour because we only wanted to play one game. They said that is the average time. Don't pay by the hour if you want to finish the game. As long as you play with no breaks you can finish the game within an hour. That is not my complaint. Just my recommendation. My complaint is the arcade. After bowling my niece and nephew wanted to play arcade games. We went to the machine to purchase a card. Started the process but was having difficulties. Went to an employee to ask for help. All they said follow the instructions on screen. I said I tried that. Need help. Neither one of them seemed interested in helping. One went to the back to get help but I waited a couple of minutes and no one ever came to help so I left. You guys need to work on your customer service. read more

I'll have to do an update later, since we came during a MASSIVE renovation. We were also there on an off hour on a Sunday. You know it's massive when they have an enormous "We're open" sign on the front and the usual entrance is boarded up. The second clue was that all of the bathrooms were located outside in a trailer or a handicapped accessible port-a-john. Now, the trailer bathrooms were pretty good, all things considered. The side entrance was a little bit meh, but what are you going to do when you're ripping up the insides of your building? They have plastic sheeting blocking the dust and view of the mess. The desk for shoe rental is still running and the concession is running as well. The people were nice, even though the conditions must not be great to work in. The lanes are in OK condition. When bowling, you could still get the skid and spin on your balls. I didn't notice any strange wobbles or deviations in path. The lane we were in had a couple of issues with setting up pins, but a hit of the reset button took care of it. The score keeping was easy to set up and took care of itself. In terms of the concessions, we only had tea and popcorn, so I can't say much. The tea was in a pitcher and good. The popcorn was stale and tasted like fake butter. I guess it's what I would expect these days. Overall, it's a good place to go kill some time. read more

So, I literally waited two hours for pizza and I still didn't get it . First, I was told that I couldn't order the $55 promotion til my name was called . (I was on the waiting list for an hour and half to bowl.) Once, I got called on the sir at the front desk said I could no longer order my pizza because the kitchen manager was backed up on her orders. Well to begin with.. I been wanted to order my pizza but was told not to because I had to be on my lane. So, once I did get my name called on and paid for my lane... the sir in the front said that the kitchen was close. But how thou?? I mean... it's Saturday and the whole thing doesn't close til 12 and it was literally 9:45 when I was told that I couldn't place my order . Hmmmm.... i honestly feel like it wasn't fair because I for the longest wanted to order my pizza but was told that I couldn't because the kitchen manger said that she was no longer getting orders. But.... then how in the world was I suppose to purchase my promotion meal which was 1hr bowl, pitcher of beer, and one large one topping pizza for 55$ . ‍. Max bowl just didn't want me to get the promotion. Instead I paid the full $44 to just bowl. I'm truly very unsatisfied with their service . It was no where near 12 and the kitchen was close. So I never write reviews but I definitely felt the need to write one about this establishment. On 10/23/2022 I witnessed an altercation between The management team and a customer. I was floored at the behavior of the employees and management. Granted the customer was upset and was a bit much to handle I feel as if these are the times that management should have been properly trained for. The customer was given wrong information stating that a receipt had to be shown in order for her children to take part in the laser tag . When in fact, as long as the money was on the card the children could have participated in laser tag. The manager matched the customer's tone and was very unprofessional he could have diffused the situation by explaining the right information to her. To me it seems as if her children were being discriminated against as if they were trying to lie and steal their way into laser tag. If the procedure is NOT having to show a PROOF of purchase, then why was it told to the children and the mom? After her friend went over this information twice for clarification the story was changed to, "As long as the money 7.50 was on the card irregardless of them having a receipt or not that the children was able to participate in laser tag" The customer walked away and some time after the manager proceeded to walk from behind the counter to approach the customer which resulted in him being face to face yelling at her telling her that she can have a seat or leave. A guest in the customers party had to walk in between them to separate the two. Do I agree with the customer's actions and words that she expressed to the employees? NO! Absolutely NOT! I DEFINITELY do not agree with the actions of management. Also the young employee which I heard her say she was 17 years old told the customer her mom would whoop her a** as well as the customer called the 17 yr old an ugly name. The 17 year old confronted the customer asking her why was she being rude? Which provoked the customer even more. BOTH PARTIES WAS WRONG AND THE STAFF IS NOT THE HERO IN THIS SITUATION. They definitely need additional training. My 10 yr old son witnessed this and we will NEVER RETURN! read more
