December 29, 2025 I was completely taken advantage of at the Mavis tires and brake location at 1511 Pooler Parkway, Pooler, GA 31322. I arrived at the location at 10 AM, expressing concerns to the general manager, Jason, that my steering wheel was loose. I explained how my steering wheel was flipped upside down, yet my tires were straight and that it was a safety concern. He told me the parts that were needed to fix my steering wheel. Trusting him, I agreed to have the parts replaced. I returned 2 hrs later & was told that my car was fixed. I took the car on a test drive, & the car was doing the same thing. I alerted Jason who also test drove the car & agreed the car was not fixed. He stated another part was needed in order to fix the steering wheel. I agreed, still entrusting in you all. I was called back 3 hrs later by the store manager, and was told that my car was fixed. Upon arrival, Jason was gone & the store manager made my experience even more dreadful. He did not greet me at all upon arrival & totally disregarded my presence, but I watched how he readily greeted 2 Caucasian women with a big smile. Again, I test drove my car & it still was not fixed. While test driving, I asked 2 techs to witness that my car was still not repaired. Both techs agreed and expressed concern for the amount of money I paid and the time that I had spent at the shop. The mechanic Mick, was totally dismissive, never communicating with me exactly what was wrong with my vehicle and seemed irritated that he was asked repeatedly to work on my vehicle. The store manager, who continued to be extremely friendly with only the Caucasian customers, lied and stated I was "using the f bomb" & that I needed to "calm down". He later apologized for lying, stating "oh I thought that's what I heard you say". One tech witnessed how he completely lied, stating "I never heard you say that once". $420.17 later, my steering wheel is still loose & I am traumatized by how I was treated at this location. read more

I said I was not happy with them missing such an important part, it was also stated if I would have kept driving it would have locked up. I went in for a tire rotation on my Ford F-150. When they pulled my 4 tires off, the manager pulled me out to the bay, showed me I needed front brakes; that they were worn down to only 30% and had some hairline cracks on the roters. It was 2:30 pm. He said it would take about 45 minutes, that the brakes and roters were on sight in stock. Over 3 hours later at 5:40 they finished. It looked to me like they were grossly understaffed, and made promises they could not keep. It seemed like the manager was roaming around trying to help all the other incompetent staff do their jobs. Brought a set of trailer tires and new replacement tires to be switched out. The general manager was immediately dismissive and told me to leave them in bay 1, and walked into the shop. Pulled my truck over and someone unloaded everything. GM came back over, said "I didn't know we had to take off old tires" and walked away again. I asked the tech that unloaded roughly how long it would be so I could come back to pick up, he walked across the shop to ask the GM, was spoken to in a really unkind and unprofessional manner, and came back and said $250-300. I then walked through the shop to speak to the GM, who as soon as I got close, got into someone's car. I waited, and while I was speaking he was actively walking away from me while I was questioning the price and time since the day previous I'd been given a DRASTICALLY lower price. He said it would still be over $200, for simple trailer tires. I told him they could load everything back up then, and as I was walking out he loudly was making remarks to a tech about me being "too broke" to have them done. I apologized to the tech for having to re-load, tipped him and left. Brought everything to another more reputable shop that just wasn't as conveniently located- and paid less than $100 for removal, mount and balance. So not only was the price I was given wildly unreasonable- the way I was treated and spoken to by the GM was unacceptable. read more

I had an appointment at 9am, and I walked in at 9:01. This lady walked in and was very rude when speaking to me. Told me I was " late" and and accused me that I didn't walk in the time I said I didn't because she didn't "see" me. Also said sine I was 1 minute late that I needed to reschedule, but they were the one behind. Then continued to be rude and tell me it's going to be a 4 hour wait. Service was done quickly I went in for a tire pressure sensor that wasn't working. They did an inspection and found two of the other sensors needed to be replaced as well. They advised me of this and gave me a quote before starting work. Staff was very friendly and courteous. Definitely will go back. read more

Woke up and found my Ford had a flat. Now, this tire I had previously patched, so I knew it was going bad. I visited a few tire places on a Sunday morning, and they were slammed. I ended up at Mavis in Pooler (near Lowe's), and Alexis greeted me. Super friendly, I formed me they could get me in, but it would be a few hours. Not a problem at all since she at least made me aware! I sat for a while, and about an hour later they pulled my car back. I went, grabbed some lunch, came back and my car was sitting in the parking lot waiting for me. I got two new tires, rotation, and an alignment. I was very clear that the swapped tires were used and specific with the woman at the front desk. she assured me that the job could be done and would take one to two hours. I came back after 6 hours because my phone call was transferred to the front desk and nobody answered the phone. I was then told that they don't mount used tires... a complete waste of time and I'll never go back, their staff is incompetent and this should have been addressed immediately. read more

Absolutely the worst tire shop I've ever dealt with. I tried the one in Springfield first , had an appointment and they blew that one by 2 hours before I finally asked what was going on and the informed me it would be another 2 hours before they got to my car. So I called and made an appointment in pooler and same dam thing they didn't get my car into the shop until a 1-1/2 hours past my appointment time. Absolutely garbage. If I could give 0 stars I would! Had an appointment and was sitting there for 3 hours to get new tires, when the guy on the phone said it'd take an hour max with an appointment. When I left, a light came on on my dashboard! A day later i went foe an oil change in a different place and they noticed that my new tires had a pressure of 40 instead of 33! They helped me, however the light never went away. Took it back, the manager did a quick diagnostic, reset something and a day later the light is back on! I called again and asked them to fix the sensors that they probably broke by lifting my car wrong, and the manager talked with his voice raised and said I should take it to another place i trust and he'll refund me if They can show and proof they damaged something!!!!!!! I mean, they should just a) talk with manners and b) help and fix what they broke! No wonder they worked that way as they were understaffed. To top that, none of the workers inside are wearing masks! Do not go there! Update: After going back to This place twice, for them to just put on the diagnostic thing and reset the light, but never took the tires apart, I had no choice but going elsewhere! I took my car to another shop and they confirmed all bolts were put back backwards (!!!!!!) and two of the sensors were bent and damaged!!!!!! ...and 250 dollars later everything was fixed and the light never came back on! Awful. They put a brand new set of front tires on my car that already had the treads separating, causing the car to shake/pull. They took them off and put a "better" set of tires on to resolve the concern. When doing so, one of the front tires they put on was larger than the other and too big for the car. Young lady was VERY RUDE today. I walked in and she asked if I had an appointment. I told her no. She immediately said "we can't help you today, we are booked up". I said to her "you don't even know what I need." She said "well we are booked". I said all I need is a windshield wiper because the one yall put on flew off going down the highway" she then replied "pull in that 2nd bay and we will get to you when we get to you". After cracking one of my rims, I was quoted over $300.00 for a new rim and installation at Grainger. I contacted Savannah Tire to get a price estimate and Anthony informed me that while Savannah tire doesn't stock rims, I could buy one online and bring it in and have it installed for $25.00. After my my rim arrived ( Walmart.com FTW! ) I called to make an appointment, and we were could come in right away. The install was done within minutes and we were on our way! Im so grateful to have finally found a honest, affordable and friendly tire center. I-95 SC took our 02 VW GTI front suspension out. We limped on south to Pooler and pulled into a different Savannah r route store where a guy phoned around and then suggested this 1511 location due to a shorter wait time on that particular Friday. We looked the car over, they looked and said our groin suspension needed some major work. This is my toy car I was taking to Florida so we left it with them because while putting new tires on, they found a major party problem on my old VW underfdame. We decided to get Lyft to the airport and a hrental car back to our home in Florida. During this traveling disaster caused by SC roads, Josh kept us up to date on parts status and repair. Mark answered my questions when he answered my calls and Josh wasn't available Bottom line? This 1511 parkway store was wonderful. We got lucky... Buyer Be Aware: This company will screw you with there "inflated prices" on all repairs. I was told by a technician that I needed a tuneup. Horrible service. Horrible staff. The staff was unbelievably rude and incompetent. My grandmother had an appointment and waited over 2 hours. She eventually got her keys (after being treated terribly by staff) and went to discount tire and they confirmed the staff lied to her about why they took so long and discount tire had her in and out in 20 minutes. This place is under new management and has very friendly service. Sometimes wait times can be higher because they are short handed some days (but who isn't these days) but they communicate that with you and recommend dropping your car off to accommodate your appointment. read more

This is by far the WORST shop I have ever been to. I came on a Thursday afternoon at 2 pm with an appointment. I sat in the waiting area for 50 Minutes while I watched my truck not move from the parking lot. I asked if I brought it back the next morning and leave if it would get done quicker?? Needless to say I dropped it off at 10:30 the next morning and was told if I could wait until 3pm it would be done. I showed up at 4 and they were just bringing it into the shop. My car was leaking and the AC was draining and it just needed some work so I called early morning at Savannah tire and they told me just to bring it by and they fixed it the same day! Josh was super nice and kept me posted all day because I had to go to work and I couldn't get to the store in time to pick my car back up and they were just so nice and helpful and completely fixed my car up and I am super happy! Everyone was very professional with me and the prices are great. I was told it would take an hour to be able to pick it up and it ended up taking almost 3. I had blow two tires and that's all I needed done. My keys sat on the counter for nearly 20 minutes before I got up and let it be known and they hadn't been busy for 10 minutes. Called ahead Saturday morning to schedule alignment- got an appointment at 1pm an I was able to drop my car off at 11:30. When I arrived I also mentioned that I needed my tires balanced but not rotated because the back had less tread. Around 1:30 I received a call stating that they couldn't do a rotation because of the tread on the back I told them that was fine an I needed the alignment an balance. I received another call around 4:30 to let me know my car was ready. Paid my bill- got my keys, was told everything else looked good. While driving I noticed there was even more vibration then before an the steering wheel was pulling to the left. I Immediately turned around an went back explaining my issues. After the man behind the desk spoke with the mechanic they never preformed the alignment an went ahead with the rotation after being told three different times no tire rotation. I got a refund for my alignment because I wasn't waiting nor do I appreciate being taken advantage of an paid for a four wheel balance an only revived two balanced tires. Go figure. I've heard of the locals bad experiences but had to find out the hard way myself. Save yourself the time an trouble. My car was at savannah tire in pooler for 4 1/2 hours + 1 hour before scheduled. They didn't bother to get started on my car until around 8:45. At 9:30, they call me to the desk and tell me that they ordered the wrong tires for my car, it would be another hour before the right size got here. I'm not sure why it took them 1.5 hours to find out that the tires were the wrong size, but it did. 10:40 rolls around and I am still sitting here waiting for TWO tires. I took my truck here to get aligned and have the oil changed. I had an appointment scheduled for the service. The lady at the front desk was very nice. I like for my truck to have 1/2 degree extra camber from the factory specs so it is more stable. Anyone who knows anything about a 1st generation Tacoma knows they ride much more stable if they have a little extra camber from the factory specs. I talked to the lady at the front desk and the manager about this request. The lady at the front desk said I could speak with the technician in the shop while he had my truck on the alignment rack. I walked outside the shop down to the alignment rack to discuss this with the technician (didn't get his name.) When I approached him in the shop to speak with him, his response was "What do you want? You have to wear safety glasses to be in here." Nobody in the shop was wearing safety glasses and we could have easily stepped outside the shop to talk if he cared to speak with me. I discussed with him about adding a little caster so the truck drives more stable. He said he couldn't do that because he would get in trouble. I had already spoken to the manager on duty and he did not indicate it would be an issue. He had a bad attitude with me, so I asked him to get the truck to a safe condition and I would take it somewhere else. As I drove home, the steering wheel is no longer centered and the truck pulls violently to the right. When I pulled into my driveway, I discovered I had an oil leak the whole ride home because he failed to tighten the oil drain plug after changing my oil. My truck doesn't leak oil. I have a brand new driveway, so this is not an old leak. When I got under the truck, there was oil everywhere. The larger spot in the attached picture is condensation off of my A/C condenser, but the smaller spot is leaking oil. I wiped down the underside of my truck and tightened the drain plug. I suspect this was attempted sabotage for me not having him continue with the alignment. So he left me with an unsafe vehicle and an oil leak, that if I hadn't noticed, would probably have lead to a ruined engine when the oil level drops. I will not be taking my vehicles to Savannah Tire again. It is hard to find a good mechanic shop these days. I perform most of the maintenance on my vehicles personally. I'll use my plumb bob and measuring tape to get the alignment corrected instead of taking it to this business again. I was told Savannah Tire had a good reputation when I moved here a year and a half ago. Obviously something has changed. Attitudes were poor and service in the shop demonstrated they're untrained wrench turners and don't actually understand the geometry of a suspension, nor do they care about their reputation. I would not recommend their services. I should have gone on Yelp and checked them out before I went there. It looks like I'm not the only one who has been dissatisfied. Lesson learned... I had my car towed there because I needed new tires and a battery. The website claims they can replace batteries. The lady that answered the phone said they didn't have a mechanic to check the battery. Then she calls back and says they can't fix it because its and electrical issues. They did not even look at it just put on the new tires and said they cant help. I had to spend 95.00 to have my car towed to another place and guess what its the battery. Never again will I come to savannah tire for anything. Charged me a fortune for new 2 tires and did not even bother to try to change the battery. read more

They left our lug nuts loose. My wife got a tire patched here. Less than 20 miles after we got it back, we noticed a clunk coming from somewhere. I pulled over and checked the tire they had worked on and 2 out of the 5 lug nuts were finger loose. I limped it home to inspect further and the other 3 lug nuts were extremely loose as well. its Obvious none of the lug nuts were torqued at all. this Shop has low standards and lazy techs that won't spend a single extra minute to do the job right. The tech repairing my car stopped working on it and started working on someone else's car. When I was you get, I purchased tires from Savannah Tire and they didn't honor the warranty and I vowed never to return. I asked if I needed an appt and was told yes, she will put me in first thing in the am, just drop off your car before 8 and leave the keys. I dropped my car off at 7:15 on my way too work, left the keys exactly where I was told. I called right before lunch and asked the status, was told "it's not quite done yet." Ok fine, that's odd, you've had it for 4 hours. So I started calling around 3:00 to check because I get off at 4:00( which they knew that's when I needed my car) no answer. I called several times over the next hour.....no answer! I get off work and have a co-worker drive me there. At this point I see my car in the bay, donut tire still on it!! At this point I was told they pulled it back in order, the girl (who was new apparently) didn't put the appointment in. I said that's great, but when I called at lunch YOU told me not done yet, not that it hadn't even been started yet!! He did give a sorry excuse for an apology, but I will never go back here again or recommend it to my worst enemy!
