I came in cause there was a small piece of metal in my tire, they said warranty only covers nail. Which wasn't clearly stated when I was told about the warranty. I should have done more research on this place before committing to do business here. Why offer appointments if you aren't going to commit to them? I understand things cause you to run behind. But my appointment was at 3 and my car was finally moved to the bay at 4:30. I asked what was going on and got a "hopefully we'll be done soon". What kind of response is that? I chose this business to replace 4 tires although there was another competitor that had them a little cheaper but didn't offer the warranty. Contacted corporate as they requested and it was a total waste of time. Instead of the regional manager calling me as I was told, it was the person who checked me out at the store. So my explanation of charges was broken down and told it was her fault she didn't tell me more in detail. Had she explained it to me, I wouldn't have agreed to the service because it was far more expensive and I had no idea because of her. The resolution was a $50 credit at their store. My car broke down and due to a recommendation I had it towed to Mavis. Let me tell you about how kindly I was treated by the staff here. I had to leave my car there for a few days since I was out of town. Tana called me daily or sometimes twice a day to check on me and fill me in on my car. As a matter of fact, When I would call she would greet me by name when she picked up the phone. Tory was the one looking at my car, she was amazing too. unfortunately my car needed a new transmission which is a service they don't provide. This place is a racket. The front desk worker will call you to confirm your appt. NOT tell you that it takes 1.5 hours to plug a tire. They want to upsale with the "no interest payment plan," call you to tell you needing additional work, and tell you to have the car for 1.5 hours. Ok, great. When I made an 8am appt, arrived early, didn't start on my car until after 8:30 and told me they'd have me ready by 11. No. So I bring it back at 5pm with all my documents already made up, 3 hours later & my car is not finished. I hear the store mgr tell guests "technician issue and only one guy back there." There were 3 guys. Never again. Go to a local place or try discount tire .5 mile down the road. read more

I had a nail in my tire and took my car there for them to see if they could plug it. They said I had to buy a new tire ($240) because of where the nail was. I then took my car to Discount Tires right up the road and they said I absolutely did not need a new tire. They plugged my tire for free and earned my future business. This morning, I went into the Mavis Tires located at 1804 East West Connector in Austell, GA. The first young lady I spoke to first said, it was covered by the road hazard insurance. Not even 5 minutes later another female employee came from the back and begin to tell a series of lies: LIE #1 she said the repair was not covered because the tread on the tire was too worn down and that I would need to buy a new tire. I reminded her that I had only put 18K miles in 2 years on these "better-quality tires" as they were represented when I purchased them. LIE #2 she said they could not tell what the mileage was on my car at time of purchase. Which was a blatant lie because I saw it on their computer screen; the mileage was $72K in their system. I currently have 90K miles. LIE#3 She said the nail was lodged in the side wall and the tire could not be patched. I could see the nail was not even close to the side wall. WHO SHOULD I BELIEVE HER OR MY LYING EYES??? Not having anymore time to indulge in the nonsense, I left went down the street to Discount Tires where they removed the nail, plugged my tire and I went on about my day. I have had the worst experience with Mavis. My Infiniti QX60 was worked on in January and it hasn't driven right since. I have taken my car back 3 times and it is still not repaired. I have been in contact with the regional manager Eboni and she is no help at all. I needed brakes and they told me my shocks were severely damaged and needed to be repaired immediately. They also told me I needed an alignment, they had a novice mechanic work on my car and he damaged my TPMS sensor in my rear tire, ruined my cars alignment, and overcharged me for unnecessary repairs. I have a horrible vehicle wonder that they still haven't repaired and no one is contacting me regarding my vehicle and damages that they caused. I have called, texted, and emailed with no solutions offered. I'm stuck with a bill for a car that's dangerous to drive because it feels like I'm losing control when I hit bumps in the road because of the imbalanced tires and vehicle wonder. That is not true, issues were found and I have documented evidence that they found the vehicle wondering and attempted to repair it unsuccessfully. read more

After keeping my car all day for a 2 hour job they didn't even complete the alignment.They are also super nonchalant about it. The receptionist asked me if I could bring my car back another day. Ugh! Had two new tires put on my car about a month ago. First off, they don't have the equipment to do alignments. So the female manager told my husband "next time buy your tires here but go to Butler for alignment". What?! How about we just deal with Butler for everything?!?! Fast forward two days and my brand new run flat is FLAT. Visibly, noticeably, sitting on the ground flat. I take it back and this same (terrible) female manager starts immediately asking if I had an alignment because those can cause wear and "I'm seeing some wear here". So brand new tires wear and go flat after driving less than 20 miles?? And remember that Mavis can't do alignments because "they took all our equipment out". They filled the tire, claimed they found no issue except that my sensor is broken. Hmm..wonder how that happened when it was working fine before you touched it. And the tire was flat!! I didn't go there because the sensor went off. I went because the damn tire was FLAT!! And it has continuously lost air ever since. Never again. Loved Kaufman but I can't with Mavis and particularly this location. Skip them and go somewhere that has all the necessary equipment and doesn't give you a bunch of bs excuses! read more

I have been here for tires and most recently to patch a tire. I will say they are always busy so they may not be able to take you when you want but they will be polite, professional, and honest with you about it. I have had nothing but great experience. When I got my tires I got an alignment and it was slightly off after. I called them and told them about my truck pulling about. Without hesitation he said bring it back and he would get it taken care of. I couldn't bring it back for a few days and he was flexible with me. The customer service was awful and sense of urgency was non existent. I caught a blow out on my way home from work which is about an hour away. It was about 20 minutes before their closing time. Though many places are short staffed during Covid, leading to longer wait times which is very understandable, this place was very personable and provided great detail in the work that I needed done to my car. CESILY, at the front desk was VERY welcoming and assisted me throughout the process of suggesting the options that I had as far as payments for my services. Not only that, but she was very understanding towards my frustrations and patient with me as well. She definitely excels in the customer service department AND even reminded me to get my belonging out of the car before leaving. The head mechanic was also very detailed in the work that I needed done and even showed me what it was that was needed so that I wouldn't feel like they were trying to add extra services for their personal profit. We used Kauffman Tire for years and were very happy. Mavis bought them and after three bad experiences, we are done. They rarely have more than one person at the counter with customers lined up (until they walk out) and they have to handle phone calls too. Getting waited on takes forever. We picked up a nail in a tire yesterday, left the car overnight so they could get the tire in and mount this morning. At 4 pm the person answering the phone said the work hadn't been done and didn't know the status. He was frazzled. I feel badly for the short handed staff and I won't share in their frustrations anymore. read more

I have been going to Mavis for years and always have great service. Today was a chilly Saturday morning and I went out to my car to find a flat tire and a day of errands ahead of me. When I pulled into Mavis, Brandon met me at my car to help expedite the check in progress and was able to repair my flat quickly. Had a flat that AAA changed for me and then took my truck over to Mavis to see if I could get a plug or if not, a new tire. I also asked them to check the oressure all the way around. I dropped it off instead of waiting. Three days later I get a call that it is ready. I go, pay and the truck is backed into the space. It was hot and I was in a hurry and didn't notice until I got home that they just chucked the spare in the truck bed instead of putting it back under the truck. After that, I decided to check the tire pressure. The truck tells you the pressure. Not only did they not check the pressure, the new tire was 10# over inflated. read more

Arrived for scheduled appt on 6/15 for 8am scheduled appt. Mgr/staff very courteous. Only issue was it took too long to repair a nail puncture tire & replace wiper blades....out at 9:30am. Don told me if air pressure gage and tpms gauge did not reset to stop by next day to get reset.... Stopped by next day for gauge resets and this visit did not go well at all! Svc Mgr Chris refused to pull a tech to reset gauges, he was very rude to myself and wife. He could have reset the gauges in the length of time he argued with us which frustrated the wife and I! I told him I was going to call corporate customer SVC and he indicated do what we need to do which he really didn't care which surprised us! And to stop back in next day when mgr was in? I called Corporate and not yet connected with District Mgr after leaving msg for her to call me back upon missing her initial call? Store mgr did call me next day which I appreciated. Had to do an emergency stop because of flat tire. Was told because this establishment was "short staffed," that I couldn't have my flat tired patched. This tire shop didn't close until 5:00pm, but I had to sit for an hour for emergency assistance because I couldn't get my tired "patched" before 5:00pm. Customer service desk was no help at all. Please do not have a flat tire near in Austell near the East West Connector. You will get no help unless you have an "appointment" for your flat tire. read more
