I went to tire discount to get air in my tires but my tire seemed more flat, therefore i obviously couldn't get the service but I was told to park my car and will eventually be helped with, after wait in an hour because they did tell me after it shouldn't be more than an hour and it was in fact to hours that I just decided to have my brother change out my tire with my spare because not a single employee helped or came to ask what the issue may have been but instead we did the work after an 1 hour and a half ...smh read more

There are numerous Discount Tire locations. All operate differently. This is a good location. There is a Wal-Mart and Starbucks close by. I highly recommend making an appointment. But on this day, appointment did not help. Although the staff is very friendly it does not help their punctuality. 55 minutes after a dropped my car off for the appointment, my car was still sitting in the parking lot awaiting a periodic tire rotation. What's the purpose of setting up an appointment? Seems, since tire rotation is normally free when you purchase a set of tires, keeping appointment times is a low priority. read more

Disappointing experience and suspect tracking missing manipulation by staff. Made appointment for flat repair and seen upon my arrival and told replacement tire was needed and quoted about an hour to complete. I come back 45 minutes later and my car still in the parking lot and hasn't been moved and I see three cars who came in after me without appointments (I heard this when they checked in) in the service bays already. I point this out to the counter man who says they will get to me next. 10 minutes later my car goes up on the rack....but no activity. Next I get a text tracking message saying my car is ready. I go back to the counter man and show it to him and point to my car, in the air still with the same bad tire. He says the text was sent by mistake. Another 30 minutes goes by after that before the tire is replaced and I get my car back. Almost 1 hour and 45 minutes - almost twice what I was told it would take. It's that text message that really bugs me. Bet corporate likes their "30% faster service" message is what the employees like to report - even when it's not true. read more

I called at 8:30 this morning to order tires for my car they gave me a 3:15 appointment and i got here at 2:50 and the tires didn't get here until 3:30 they didn't get my car into the shop until 4:05 service guy said they put you down as a walk in and not a appointment manager not communicate with the service department i am watching to much playing around and dancing in the work area while customers waiting for their vehicles . After a nail embedded itself into one of my tires this morning, an online search for the closest and most highly reviewed tire shops led me here. Their website is helpful and easy to navigate for tasks such as price quotes and finding appointments. There were even time slots available for today, but since they were much later in the day than I would have liked, I gave them a call. Chad answered in the most congenial way and invited me to drop by without an appointment, even promising the work would be finished before closing hours today. And it certainly was. As soon as I arrived, he quickly assessed the tread levels of all four tires and showed me how much wear there was against a chart that recommends when tires should be replaced. Based on the current depth of the treads, he actually said there was a little more life left in them yet. I appreciated his honesty (instead of pushing the sale), but since my tires had been slipping in the rain lately, I gave the team the go-ahead to replace all four. This isn't my first visit to a Discount Tire, so I wasn't surprised to see a quiet and comfortable waiting room. What DID surprise me was how quickly they work here. I'd brought a long book with me, expecting to park for at least two hours as I have at other locations. Instead, they had my car pulled out with brand new tires within an impressive forty minutes. I be been coming to this Discount Tire location since 2015. I've purchased tires for 5 different vehicles of mine. Ever time I am met with great customer service, assistance and service. I've had dozens of low tire pressure tires during the years and they will fill and check my tires for free. I went to Discount Tire today to get reimbursement for a new tire I had to buy while traveling to Pensacola Fl on Sept 5. I got a flat tire on I 85 S and was stranded for 4 hours with the non-service of AAA. Finally called 911 and police came and called a wrecker to change my tire to the spare donut. After staying in a hotel, the next morning I looked for a Discount Tire, but there were none close to me. I was between Linette and Opelika in Alabama. I went to a Tire company in Auburn Al, and had to get a new tire because of a puncture in the sidewall. Today I took my receipt, so I could show it to Discount Tire to get reimbursement for this tire under the Certificates for Refund/Replacement I bought with my new tires last year. The DT agent told me I could not be reimbursed because I did not bring the tire back with me. No where from the marketing of this benefit, to the agent I purchased the tires from, did anyone tell me if I was not near DT, I had to bring the flat tire back with me to get reimbursement. I was gone for 10 days, my car was fully packed. I had to unload everything just to get to the donut, and then unpack again to return the donut to the well. I am so angry, that this requirement is not relayed before you pay for the service, or in the marketing all over the website. Once again, a company pushes to sell a safety perk where the client will be left holding the bag in a real out of state emergency. I am beyond disappointed with DT for the underhanded way this was handled. I had no idea I would need to return the tire to receive a reimbursement from a safety/security program that cost me $133 for 4 tires. read more

I was in a pickle because someone stole my spare tire out of my car. I had called around and found that I really couldn't afford to replace the spare. I finally called discount tire where Nathan suggested I look at a full-size tire which was about a quarter of the price price of the spare. I went to the store and he helped me make sure that the full-size tire would fit in the well the back of my jeep. Then he found me a nice looking room and a tire and was able to quote me a price including balance that I could afford. I appreciate his knowledge, friendliness and professional attitude. Everyone I saw working in that store was working everyone I heard dealing with customers was very professional. This was a refreshing transaction compared to where I do business otherwise. Luckily my Discount Tire store is right next door, and a friendly, helpful young man w/light brown hair in a bun (can't recall his name) checked my tires, found the rear left a bit low. He cautioned me to keep an eye on it, but probably the change in weather was a factor. I'm not sure what sort of magical elves they have back there assisting - but I'm a fan. Staff was warm, welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. I also like the huge window overlooking the service bay area. I learned two new things - 1) they don't offer alignments ... but I'm guessing if they started offering other services like alignments, wait times would increase 2) they no longer put the newest tires up front - even if you have a front wheel drive. Apparently - years of studies and research caused tire and safety experts to reverse the old recommendation - I even Googled it to confirm. read more

I got a screw in my tire last night so I went first thing when they opened up to try to get it fixed. They said they work on appointment only but they would take care of me. I moved out this way last year and have never been there before but they treated me like this was the tenth set of tires I was buying from them. Before hand they explained everything, they fixed it within and hour, and when they handed me the keys they not only explained what they did to that tire but they checked all the other tires and filled them to the proper pressure. They even explained that on my van the 'low tire pressure' light doesn't go off right away, it takes a bit of driving I have bought a lot of tires in my life but no place has treated me like this. I knew that I needed 1 tire and was questionable on the others, but when I was told that I should go ahead and get 3 (If not 4) new tires, I listened and didn't assume that there was a hustle going on. The gentleman who was helping me on the sales floor, gave me a quick education and it all made sense. 3 new tires with warranties, a good price, great service and an education, all within a reasonable amount of time. I changed my tires here. It was an easy process. I went online, bought the tires I was looking for, and made an appointment with them. I brought my car, and I was in and out in 45 minutes. When you go online, you can search for the make and model of your car. It will recommend several tires for you. You can see which tires are available at this store and make the reservation. I suggest everyone to do that if you want tires. I wouldn't come in without a reservation unless you like waiting. Everyone here was professional and friendly. If I could give a quarter of a star, that's what this place deserves. Horrible, the worst. I ordered and purchased tires online and made my appointment for 1 week later. What a scheme they have. When I was on my way to my appointment to get my tires that I bought and paid for the previous week installed. Buying and paying for them online gets you prompt service and you get to skip to the head of the line with your appointment. When I was in route to my scheduled appointment, I received a call (20 minutes before) telling me that the tires I ordered did not arrive. They offered alternatives or comparable tires for the same price. I agreed to be there on time to look at the alternatives being offered. The alternatives were not to my vehicle's specs or size. They insisted they would fit my vehicle. I said no, I want the size specified for my vehicle. The other tires that would fit and to specs will cost $100 & $200 more than what I ordered a week ago. I realized I was just given the classic "Bait & Switch" maneuver. They wasted my time and my credit card was charged a week earlier. Did they think I just fell off the turnip truck? How dare they and who do they think they are? They told me they can't cancel the online order there when the instructions on my order says just call. I was in person and they couldn't do it. I immediately put my credit card charge in dispute. This place was not trustworthy at all. What a horrible waste of time. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. Don't ever buy online and expect service at the Austell, GA location. They are liars and try to up sell you to something you don't want. The corporate office has yet to respond seriously. Although I live closer to the Smyrna store, they never answered the phone when I called on a Tuesday around 5pm. I suddenly had the TPMS indicator go off in my car. When it was clear I was losing air, I called Discount Tire in Austell after I got answer at the Smyrna location. Someone answered quickly and said to come on in the next day when they open. I went around 9 am and it was crowded, but I got to talk to an associate in about 15 minutes. He looked at my tire and thought it could be patched, but if it couldn't, they quoted me a great price on a replacement. Less than 90 min later, they called me back and informed me they were able to patch the tire. Moreover, they offered me a warranty on all my tires - none of which are from their store. So for $50, I bought tire insurance on all my tires. If any of them get damaged from road hazards, they'll replace it at no cost! Plus tire rotations are free. So in short: Great service, great prices. You've got a customer for life here! read more

Excellence is the standard here -- even with the chaos of COVID! Pulled into line to get my tires rotated today. Had an associate check me in, give me an accurate wait time and ask me to wait in my car until it was time to pull my car in the bay (I honestly prefer that anyway). Everything went according to plan and I was in and out in the time they promised (about an hour). I watched another 5 or 6 people pull up behind me and have a similar experience.
