Took 3 hours to replace a battery that I went online to schedule appointment ,then they said wrong battery showed up but I was sitting at the window looking at the shop floor and 1 employee saw d this was the wrong one I can see eat hour later no parts trucks showed up we now have the right battery and yet another 25 mins no one is puttting the battery in .place is a fin scam charger me 19.80 for shop supplies for replacing a battery and charged hour plus .10 tandem I asked if my warranty was in my receipt for a 330 agm battery nope .sucks they bought out NTB and pep boys is closed just read the invoice fuck them read more

An update to what i thought was good service. Ordered the tire, returned to have it installed. Was advised it may take a little bit of time before the tire pressure sensor reset. I drove over 50 miles and it never reset. The pressure was showing 12. I returned to the shop. They had installed the OLD tire back onto the car. I could damaged my wheel or had an accident. They installed the NEW tire and things are fine now. (What bothered me was when i asked if they put the old tire back, I was told, no...the tire has new markings on it. That was not the case.!) Always on time with appointments. Prompt and professional service. Will return. Fair pricing on high end tires. read more

Bought Goodyear tires on line on 29 Dec and chose Mavis for the install. I made an appt for 9 am on 2 January. Arrived for my appointment and was told they had me listed for a two o'clock appt while my email confirmation was clear on 9 am. They told me no problem - likely a two hour wait. After three hours they told me that they did not have my tires yet and blamed Goodyear (me too), but it clearly should not have taken three hours to figure that out. The manager told me he would give me a call when they arrived. I called at noon the following morning and they told me no tires but they would look around to source them. They found them and told me to come in at two o'clock, I would be fast-tracked out of there within an hour. They offered me a free alignment for my troubles. Three hours after I arrived I begged for an update and they moved me up in the wait. At 6 pm, I was given my keys and told the car didn't need an alignment and since I watched them do the work, when I asked how they knew the alignment was not needed, they said they took it for a test drive.... 7 hours in the shop to get four tires installed. I watched multiple people leave during the two days ordeal when they too were given estimates of time that were clearly not accurate. Lost a customer for life, and I suspect two or three others will not go back. They literally told every customer who came in- 2 hours wait.... They don't understand truthfulness. read more

What a horrible experience. I came here to get 4 new tires for my Jeep. The first appointment took 4 hours and at the end they told me they were missing one of my new tires and so I had to come back. They put the wheel weights on the OUTSIDE of the tire btw. I had the same tires put on my Jeep by professionals a few years ago and they didn't have to do that. I came back a second time to receive my last tire and it took two hours to mount and balance a single tire. Three days after this I had some rubbing on my tires. Now, magically I need new breaks. Even though during my first visit, they tried to up sale me by telling me l needed to change my shock absorbers, and it would cost $100's of dollars. The figure was so outrageous, l let it go in one ear and out the other; nevertheless, l went back with my truck for an oil change, and l requested they change my TPM. Afterwards, while paying the tech told me l wouldn't see the results until after 50k miles., so l asked him why wouldn't he tell me that BEFORE it was changed? To this, l got no reply...now its been 5 months, and my TPM dummy light is still plinking. Basically, l paid $89 extra for absolutely nothing. l wrote the company, and got no response. Also, writing them up with BBB, when l did a quick check, their ratings are extremely poor, 1.5 stars out of 5 stars. Never going back, they are crooks. read more

I came in on Sunday to get my tires rotated and a possible alignment. They didn't upsell me for any service I didn't need and did an oil change. The same day they fit in time to replace a tire pressure stem on my wife's tire. They hooked me up and I paid only $45 for the oil change. They tried to charge me $1200 for a new power steering system. I refused to pay for it since I had just gotten a new power steering pump a month prior. I took it back to the mechanic that put the power steering pump in and he said all that was wrong was one of the hoses was loose. He fixed it at no charge. Horrible! I bought 4 tires, 1 was defective(I'll get to this later), they didn't balance them correctly and my alignment was off. I went to another location, didn't correct my problem. I went to Chevy to have everything corrected. After Chevy corrected the problem they informed me that my tires were not on correctly (front and back are different sizes) and one tire is defective. I contacted Mavis customer service, the regional manager John called me a few days later letting me know I'll get reimbursed and a replacement tire.Two months later WHICH IS TODAY I am still without a tire or a refund. I am here today finding out the tire was never ordered and they can't find any of my information in the computer in regards to the alignment I paid for. I am disgusted and angry. I am trying my best not to lose my cool in the Brookhaven location because they are very nice and trying their best to figure things out for me. The lack of communication and respect for a paying customer by not making sure everything was situated before my scheduled appointment from the regional manager is unprofessional! The mechanic killed my battery and I had to buy a new one. This is my second review because I've had so many bad experience here. Went for an oil change and my car ignition was on for so long it killed my battery. I had to be jump started to go home. As soon as I got home and shut the car off it couldn't start again and what was worst I was parked on the street. Had to go to a neighborhood mechanic shop that gave me a jump start so I could park properly in a spot at my apartment building. Next day I had to be jump started again to go back to Mavis only to be told I'll have to buy a new battery when my other one was working fine. read more

Bad service Appointment was for 1pm, I drop it at 10:30am. I call them at 1:40pm and they told me that they haven't start on it yet. Bring my car for alignment. When pick it up I asked if there is any recomendation and one of the front guys whent to the tech to see if there something wrong and they come back saying that everything needs to be redone in the suspention system. They don't put notes on the ticket. Don't give sugestion to customers unless you ask them and they are not accurate or specific. They don't let you know that the car is pulling to either side after the alignment. They don't do caster adjustment, that clearly shows to be off parameters and they don't advice unless you ask but you can't know because they don't provide copy of the report with the receipt, unless you go complaining. Searching the web looking for answer, it say that if the caster is different from side to side, the vehicle will pull to the side with the less positive caster. In my case, is pulling to the right (passenger side) and the reading say 5.4 degrees on the left and 4.5 degrees on the right. Bad and shady business. If you just need it to be aligned, dont take it here as they don't care and they will blame the mechanic that did the repair job. read more

I called yesterday to get a quote to have tires installed because I purchase them online from Walmart. Unfortunately Walmart tire center is closed because of Covid.. Omez quoted me $25 a tire, mounted and balanced for 20 inch wheels! I told him I'd call the next day to confirm and to make sure that I could bring it in and wait. He did tell me he wasn't working at that time. When I called this morning at 9:30 I said I spoke with him he quoted me $25 and I would like to wait for it. I spoke with Britt and he said sure bring it down and will take a look at it and I could wait for it. When I got there I got the old bait and switch oh no these are $40 apiece and you have to drop it off. Why the hell did I call in advance, what a waste of my time! I had an appointment set for 9am. I showed up 30 minutes early at 8:30am and waited almost 2 hours before my vehicle began to be serviced. It wasn't until after 10:30am that my vehicle was placed in the garage (for the first time) and was finished with the entire service around 12. My appointment was for two new tires, a rotation and an alignment. I had expected around an hour to an hour and a half wait but not almost 4 hours. After waiting the entirety of the appointment in the lobby I was rudely checked out at the service desk by a man that abruptly questioned my intellect. He outwardly expressed astonishment towards me and utter shock when I was able to give my license plate number to him. I have never experienced such a sexist encounter as this. I understand that many times women can be perceived as naive but the service technician and front desk associate (who was also a mechanic) made my experience at this place absolutely horrible. I can understand the frustration of being understaffed but to take out this frustration on customers is highly unprofessional. Sadly, I will not be returning and expect these staff within this establishment to do (be trained) better. read more

DO NOT conduct business with this place. They misdiagnose the real issues to your car, and they are dishonest and shady people. Was told I needed my whole exhaust system replaced, and other unnecessary repairs such as struts and shocks, but the whole time the issue with my car was a bad transmission. They are friendly up until after they take your money. $3,000 later and my car still needs work done. I talked to store and regional managers, and both were rude when asking for some type of resolution/compensation for them misdiagnosising my car, and giving false pretenses that once the issues they found were fixed, my car would be good to go. I had an appt at 10:30 am and I go home to wait (which was a process getting rides), I get a call 3 hours later saying they needed a tool that's usually in the truck to be able to start putting the new tires on. Which means they didn't even get to the truck until 3 hours later and they told me the process would take 2 hours. So I come back at 2:45 pm after finding the tool they needed in the truck. It took another 3 HOURS to put the tires on. Meanwhile workers are sitting around in their phones by the truck. The manager proceeds to tell my fiancé who now is there waiting, that he'll give a free alignment for the inconvenience. However ends up trying to charge us for the alignment.... so basically lied! Finally was able to leave close to 6pm. Could keep going on and on but let's just say, don't waste your time going to Mavis. read more

I wouldn't even give them any stars . They have terrible customer service. I went there with a car that I had no issues with for tires and an oil change. A week later there was oil all over the undercarriage of my car . So much so the serpentine belt slipped off. Now they say I need a new alternator. What reputable service center does a safety check and sells you a battery when you need a new alternator? They also charged me for flushing that didn't do power steering fluid that is black. Horrible experience. I took my car in to get it checked out because it was making a noise and they told me that basically everything in my tire was bent and told my dad it shouldn't even be driven. It seemed like a lot so I decided to make the trip home and have my dad look at it and he took it to the Mavis in my hometown. Neither of them found anything wrong with the car like this Mavis quoted. It is absurd how sexist these employees are. Being a woman away from home and needing an honest opinion about a car does not give these mechanics the right to rip them off and charge them an excessive amount when there is nothing wrong at all. FYI never take your car to Mavis Tire, ever. I've had my car since 2008 and have never had an issue since I've take it here on Friday. I had brakes replaced and now there is something scraping the road from the bottom of my car and I found AN ENTIRE UNOPENED bottle of brake fluid floating around in my engine. ***This was an edited review from when I thought they did a good job, now something is wrong with my car after they touched it. Tire needed a patch plug due to a hole. Was charged $35 for a plug, not the patch kit. Was also charged for balancing which was not done. When Mavis was contacted, Omar, an employee, decided to laugh at the situation & ask "what do you want me to do?" OBVIOUSLY i wanted the issue resolved. On top of all this, when I picked my vehicle up, I had to go put air in the tire because they couldn't even put the right amount of air in it! I arrived early for my 10:30am appointment and was told it would take 1.5 hrs to install 4 new tires on my car. I waited for it only to find out it took 4 hrs for them to finally finish. They also did not follow my request to replace my tpms sensors with just rubber stems and only did one. I left there so angry since they ruined my entire day from waiting. I warn others of this place so you will not waste your time. They will try to sell you other services that you don't need also. The communication is terrible between the front desk and mechanics and the workers move slower than sloths. The only positive is the staff are friendly. read more
