I brought it into Royal Tech, and Yen did some research on the issue and was able to replace my transmission solenoids and the ribbon belt instead of replacing the entire transmission. The VW dealership had told me I'd need a new transmission ($2000 repair on a $1300 car? Uh, no thank you.) Yen's wife was able to pick me up from my house when my car was ready. I ended up paying *exactly* what I was quoted - $843. A+ repair work, friendly service, and honest people all at a fair and reasonable price. Working a 6/10 schedule and only having Sundays off isn't conducive to getting work down on your car. But I called peak performance and talked to Vince. We scheduled the appointment ahead a few days and I was able to get my car in. Their technicians knocked out the short laundry list of stuff on my car quickly and at a good price. I didn't lose my transportation for more than a couple hours and they even told me about a future problem they'd be happy to take care of another day. He had my car for over a month and failed to fix it. At the end my car was in worst shape when I got it back. After speaking to Mercedes Benz, they advised me that Peter could not fix the car because he does not have the right equipment to reprogram the car's software after installing the ISM only Mercedes can do that. He lied and told me he could reprogram the car's software. He made several guesses when diagnosing the car and was unable to use the scan tool properly. He tried to charge me for his labor even though he did not fix the car and for towing the vehicle to make room for another car after I towed the vehicle to him. He was extremely unprofessional and does not answer the phone. He also stated he shipped my original ISM back to Mercedes without my approval and refused to give me a receipt for the ISM he claimed to have replaced. The dealer found that it was just a blown fuse and after replacing the fuse, the car started without a problem. He bypassed the starter relay by using a paper clip to start the car which I believe caused several other issues. He has ultimately cost me a ton of money and time. I will stop there but the story is more horrific. I would never take another car to R and K Motors in Delaware.

Without a doubt, they are who you should turn to when anything on our vehicles has a "boo-boo". They are the preeminent supplier of tires for fleets, tune-ups (for Newark & Dover Delaware & Salisbury Maryland), and any suspension issues like caster, camber, toe angles. They are experts in CV joints, axles, drive trains, wheel bearings, brakes, etc. For example: I needed a tire for my girl friend's GMC Envoy. They checked it and said the other side was pretty worn so I looked and agreed. They suggested putting the new tires on the rear (and patiently explained the science to do so). Looking at my rear tires, we discovered that they also were worn beyond all hope. I decided to get 4 new tires (at a price I anticipated for just 2). I left while they were in process and shortly got a call from Tom the Newark manager. He asked if I wanted to go through with the purchase given that there were so many issues needing attending to (there's integrity). The list included rear seal motor leakage, front seal leakage, front wheel differential leakage (in both the left side and the rear), driver side front tire CV joint boot ruptured and axel bearing shot, pitman arm and idler arm loose/worn Mounting Brackets, Bushings, Bolts and Nuts, Washers, and Spacers (for proper alignment gaps), and a host of other suspension issues. Immediately listed the issues and sold the vehicle. I am a super satisfied customer of many vehicles. Note: I live in a very hilly area in Landenberg and use 4-wheel in the winter. Never had an issue getting through for decades now with the incredible grip/wear tread of the many sets of tires for the many different vehicles I have owned (and my dear sweet wife when she was here on this planet).
