Over priced. Got tires at another shop exactly the same didn't need to wait. You would think that a National chain would be cheeper.

Avoid, unless you are a walk in. Then everyone with an appointment will just have to wait. 3 hour drop off turn around is a joke. Guy at the counter admitted to me that walk in's were taken before my scheduled appointment. A rather unusual business practice, to say the least. I brought my car in two days ago to get my snow tires on my Honda Civic. While it was there the mechanics called me to tell me that I needed a break flush. I denied it because I knew I didn't and now my break pads and rosters need to be replaced. I'm sorry how do you look at my breaks to tell me I need a break flush but not that my breaks need to be replaced so I could have avoided having metal grind on itself. I will never go to this store again. If you are women you should know what happen to me, I felt like I was totally discreminated, as been only women in line of men waiting for been helped, The person at the desck saw my car as he pass by and did not said a word, but when it was my turned to be helped he refuse to help me and directed me to reparck my car because it was not conviniently parked, ( I had an appointment and was just droping my car off for tiers change) and lost my spot in line and had to wait again whyle other man that was behind me been helped. It was totaly unfair and not the way to do business, I felt like I was pushed around and didn't matter. He could simply start the paper work, while I was reparcking my car which took 10 sec. but instead he didn't even want to talk to me.. Not a good experience. I called for appointment to have an oil change and on arrival they refused to honor my appointment. They tried to say I called their customer service when I know I called their shop- as I was put on hold so they could ask manager a question. They're not reliable and they're not honest to customers. This company is the worst!! We brought our van in for basic oil change and tire rotation. Asked for our brakes to be checked!! They quoted brakes as fine!! Needed shocks and struts. Existing weights were left on wheels new weights were added and wheel surfaces were not cleaned prior to adhering new weights new weights on one wheel already fell off these people don't do correct job to not use this location for service read more

Women beware... My daughter brought her car in for an oil change... While being serviced she was told the battery had a dead cell and at anytime she could be stuck.. They said a new battery installed would be 165.00... She said that seemed to be a lot of money.. They said hold on, came back and told her it's on sale and would be 115.00.. Battery tested Fine !! This reminds me of the old days of buyer beware. To make the story short, the service was terrible. We were from out-of-town and stranded without a car and they didn't want to change a defective tire because they were going home soon. Fast-forward to next day: I received a call from Mavis saying a strut was badly bent and it was inadvisable to drive on it. So I went in for an oil change and asked the person behind the counter if it came with a tire rotation. They told me yes. When my car was done you can imagine my surprise when the bill was $45. They told me for the oil change and tire rotation and that they told me they can do a tire rotation and it doesn't come with the oil change. So I got past the misunderstanding and bad customer service went to my car to find that my newer tires were still on the back and they charged me $ for a tire rotation they didn't even do. Buyer beware. Terrible customer service and no business ethics. Last year we purchased tires for our minivan which was still under warranty. They broke a sensor which we had to fight for them to replace, even then they refused to replace it with the Toyota part so we had to settle for the generic replacement part. This year an honest local mechanic alerted us to rot in our year old tires. When we went to Mavis they could have cared less. Not to mention the tires we bought last year were nearly two years old at the time of purchase. This was a horrible experience for me. I made an appointment a week ago because I was told that they needed to order tires for my SUV. I came at my scheduled time and they took my info and my keys as if they were taking care of my vehicle. After waiting 3 hours A gentleman comes to waiting area to tell me they don't have all the tires. Now, 4 hours later I'm still waiting for my vehicle. The service is unreliable and extremely slow. There is no point in making an appointment because it is not adhered to. The employees are nonchalant about the amount of time spent waiting as if my time is not valuable. My wife brought her car to have the tires rotated and they told her that the rear brakes and rotor needed replacing at a cost of $300. I brought the car to my mechanic(Fleet service in New Paltz) and they told me that the rear brakes were good for another 10000 miles and the front brakes were good for 15000 miles. we are loyal customers of mavis always have bought tires there. we are offered by the michelin a tire discount because they became defective . we even bought the road hazard service on the tires. i call to ask if any discounts on remounting the tires they tell me no,but the shop will glad to remove the tires and send them back michelin but i have to pay to have the new ones reinstalled what am i suppose to drive on my rims only... wow what great customer service ... i am still getting another set of Michelin tires we like the tires. michelin was willing to work with us... yelp here i come , oh yea google here i come .. read more

We go to Mavis in Monroe, NY for our tires as no one can beat their price. They also do our oil changes and tire rotation. When I set up an appointment- they get me in and out in reasonable time. The facility is always clean and staff is knowledgeable. Never feel they nickle and dime me like other chains have. read more

Went in for an oil change with a price quote over the phone $60-70. While waiting in the waiting room, they approached me to tell me it will cost more because my car requires more oil. Wouldn't they know that when I came in at first? They didn't even know what type of oil my car required and I had to get the manual to show them. When it came time to change the oil, they had to send a guy across the street to buy more oil. Why do oil changes if you do not have the supplies on hand? A week after the oil change, I get a message the oil needs to be changed now. Went back to the store, they had two workers looking on their iPhones to find out how to reset the message. Incompetent manager and service workers have no experience. Don't waste your time and go to a legitimate place to service your car. read more

Customer Service is horrible at this place. Went there and had to order the tires I wanted because they were not in stock..So I asked when the tires would be available...The asst manager said that they would be in the next day ...so they gave me an appointment for 11 am. Went up the following day and after the asst manager mulled around she came back and said I have bad news....they shipped 2 h series and 2 t series......and that my car could only take the h series...which is bogus....she did not know what she was taking about.....Now the day before she took my name and phone number...you would think that on the day the tires were to be delivered they would check and verify....and at least call me.This place is a joke...Ended up at the Tire Rack....which is where I should have gone to initially. read more

Great experience! The manager was super helpful and both price and service were exceptional.

They were very knowledgeable. The price for quality tires could not be beat, and they flushed and filled the power steering fluid for half of what it would have cost at our dealer. I will probably start going to this Mavis location to get the 'normal' service items taken care of and save some money. Deceptive advertising campaign. You only get 4 tires for the price of 3 if you buy some specific brand. My wife bought 4 tires and came home with a bill for over $700.00. No one told her that she could get better price if she choose a different tire. I went back to the shop to ask about it and naturally was told that the special pricing did not apply to the tire she choose. "See the fine print".
