Wow! How have I not known about this place?!?! I just went in for lunch. The people who work there are so nice and friendly.i told the man behind the counter, Victor, that it was my first time. He explained their menu (without me even asking)! Not only that, I told him I love gnocchi, eggplant and mushrooms and didn't know what to order. He made me a gnocchi with eggplant Parmesan and some mushrooms thrown in! It also had fresh basil. Try as I might, I couldn't finish it. As I was getting ready to leave, he told me they also have a variety of desserts. Since my meal was so great, I had to try dessert. I grabbed a tiramisu to take home for later. If you are in the area be sure to stop in. You won't be disappointed! It's in a strip mall with Cazadores (I've eaten there before and it is okay.) There are a few tables inside to eat or you could get your order to go. I recommend eating it there. The gnocchi are so pillowy soft that you will want to eat them immediately * It is March 26, about a month since I first came. Tonight my husband and I wanted takeout (since we didn't want to cook and Covid-19 is limiting what we can do). I convinced my husband he wanted Mave's. This was my second time there and his first. Yet again, 5 stars!!! I'd give it more if I could. The pesto cream sauce on the gnocchi my husband got was AMAZING! I got mushroom ravioli with a special sauce Victor made me that he had made for a Red Sox player (don't ask me who, I grew up in MI and I'm still a Tigers fan). It was awesome! This place is a hidden gem. Not only is the staff extremely friendly and personable but the quality of their food is excellent. They are reasonably priced AND offer a step above the standard pizza/sub shop. They have a real home cooked touch to everything they serve. Yelp did not disappoint! We chose this place based on Yelp reviews. We're not from the area and were hungry from being at a softball tournament all day. We asked for recommendations from Victor and chose (1) chicken parm and penne pasta (2) an Italian sub(the works) and (3) a bbq bacon cheeseburger. You can tell everything is made in house and fresh. We recently moved to the area and had their pizza at a sports banquet. Needless to say, we've found a new favorite pizza place! I ordered eggplant parm over gnochhi. The entire dish was delicious with a very flavorful sauce. The kids had spaghetti and meatballs and the hubs had veal marsala. Everything was greaaattt! After seeing the sign for this spot in the parking lot of the strip mall, I looked this place up on yelp....awesome reviews. I went mid-afternoon. The restaurant was very clean. Victor introduced himself and prepared the sandwiches. The BBQ Pulled pork sandwich was awesome! The turkey sub was fresh.....Couldn't help but notice the meat slicer behind the counter...fresh! We came to Mave's upon recommendation from other local families. We needed help with food for a party, and wanted good quality, interesting food at a decent price. Mave's gave us that and more. The owner/chefs were super to work with and accommodating to every question and special request we had for our large sandwich platter (chicken veronique, italian, and vegetarian caprese). Interesting/creative flavors, high quality, fresh and local ingredients. Surprise bonus was the amazing freshly made focaccia that we ordered as a "side"... Our guests gobbled up everything, and we were back for more a couple of weeks later. On our second visit we chose to eat in while we got some more focaccia to go. Glad we did because we had a chance to try a few other items, including their bright and just-the-right-amount-of-sweet marinara -- yummo! what a shame! I am visiting and I am looking for good pizza.i ordered "double cheese" not just extra , and explained that to them along with double anchovies and sliced tomato's. I ordered from rosso's the night before . when I received the so called "large pie" from maves, that was so disappointing, it was not a large but a medium if not small, I still had the box from rossos from the night before to compare and layed on top. I was duped! there was no double cheese or 2x anchovies. even though I was charged for both. I called them to tell them of my displeasure only to get there voice mail, my advice, stay away, trust me, they are not going to last long doing business like this. again, what a shame. read more

Excellent made to order food from a husband and wife team! Great menu from steak tips, fish specials, pasta, pizza, calzones, etc. There is a big difference in quality between this place and the other local spots as this place is hands down our new take out spot.
