The dude there got it off for me but stripped the shit out of the crank shaft arm. So my pedal fell off after considerable work trying to get them to hold. I need to buy a bike. I go in and get a used one. The tires where flat. So I asked him to put air in the tires. He brings out a pump and leaves it on the floor. This is not a place you go to for service. The selection is lousy and expensive. I think they run a 'bring your bike spin' class which might be there priority. Not sure. I am sure if the work they did for me. I would call them lazy mechanics. He didn't want to take the time to do it right. I should have done it myself and invested in the tap. Live and learn.

I brought it home and put it in my garage as I was going to be traveling. I went to use it yesterday and the rear tire was completely flat. I tried to pump it up but the air was seeping out. I brought it back up to Buchika's today and the service guy put a new inner tube in and gave me the package from it with $10 marked on it. I went to the register and told the person there what had happened and they proceeded to ring up the register for a $17 charge. I asked him why I would have to pay for something that was obviously defective as I hadn't even put my ass on the bike seat yet. He proceeded to tell me that if you leave a bike sitting too long the tires will get flat. I reiterated that is was less that a month since I bought it. He was not interested in discussing it at all. Needless to say I am very dissapointed in the customer service and will not be recommending anyone buy from Buchika's.

They managed to get them on by bending them into place. They charged $30 total and spent at least 45 minutes solid working on the bike. They were as perplexed as I was by the fact that this bike had just one brake on the handlebars to control both the front and back. After I was home, I read all over the documentation, "the front wheel appears as if the brake doesn't lock, that's just how this bike is designed." :P They basically dropped everything they were working on just to help us out. I wouldn't buy accessories here, but this is a decent bike shop for repairs!
