Pumpkin chia pudding cup

Great local coffee roaster. Great place to start you day, coffee date or work remotely. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. The coffee is great and the pastries are amazing. My favorite season item is the pumpkin chia pudding cups.

Had a delicious cinnamon latte ( can't remember the actual name) and the LAST piece of the banana cake, so I lucked out.

Awesome drinks and drink options.. their coconut Vietnamese latte was soooo good... and so was their Matcha. Indoor and outdoor seating and a cozy vibe. There was only person there slinging all the drinks- she did a darn good job and super nice. Of course because there is only one person, there was a bit of a wait for drinks. But totally worth it.

Pistachio latte

Iced pistachio latte was perfect, barista was very friendly and accommodating, I'm always stoked when a coffee spot has the "good" ice (not a sweet lover and special order very little syrup) I will be back when I visit Visalia again

Fun spot. I like that they roast their own coffee. Great customer service too!! Chill spot to stop along my way up California!

Super dirty :/

I enjoy supporting local businesses, but Mavericks has always been hit or miss for me. I went in this week with a laptop to do some work. Their wifi is excellent, which can be hard to find at coffee shops! However, the coffee tasted a little burnt. But I've had good Mavericks coffee before, so maybe it was just an off day. The big turn off for me was the state of the shop itself. I like to do work in coffee shops for the music, ambience, and cleanliness. However, the baseboards were just caked with dirt. Photo for reference. This was right next to my chair. :( I will continue to support Mavericks, but I was just a little disappointed, and frankly...a little grossed out, by the lack of cleanliness this week.

The coffee is so smooth. I took my coworkers back for an afternoon treat and they were both happy. The shop is nice and the service was very good and both baristas were knowledgeable and friendly!!! I will definitely be back when I can sit and enjoy the ambiance!

Banana walnut bread bar. Pistachio Vanilla Iced Matcha

First time trying Mavericks. Very pleased with the two items I got. The bar is super good, cream cheese frosting! The matcha was not too pistachio flavored...good ratio of vanilla and matcha as well. Give this place a shot!

Roaster in store...gotta love fresh, real coffee.

I am concerned about the management here. It seems the quality may not be up to par. We went in when they were roasting and it smelled like burnt popcorn. It wasn't being turned as it roasted leaving it to be damaged by scorch. Not sure what it will take to revive this spot, I would love to see it thrive as it has potential. They do offer organic coffee, I would love to see the revenue spike. The taste for coffee isn't what it should be.

I've definitely been coming here since the beginning (before patio seating and mobile orders) haha thanks to my mom! It's stood out from the very beginning & I love how much they have expanded (3 locations now -- Visalia, Tulare, Fresno). There's something for everyone on their Menu. I personally believe that they have some of the best matcha's around. BUT... if you drink your matcha with LOTS of sweetener, you probably won't like a real matcha from here -- I say this because some will complain that it taste like GRASS... and well, it damn near is (green tea leaves) lol--all jokes aside, their drinks and food are all hand crafted and all made and / or roasted in house! I have not once ever had a complaint about this place. I love the ambience inside and out.. definitely a favorite here in Visalia! Service and time... always as expected. You are getting hand crafted drinks and food, so don't expect them to rush. ****Rush hour in the am and during lunch hours**** The workers are always very knowledgeable about their menu items & products. This was a Huge plus for me, because sometimes I like to ask the employees for their recommendations or personal favorites! They usually end up being pretty darn good Their pop tarts... if you can get them when they have them.. TRY THEM OUT!! Actually, all their pastry's and breakfast items are delicious! (I just always forget to take pictures) haha my mom loves their avo or seasonal toast/ my dad loves the breakfast burritos! I will always come here for food/homemade pastries, a drink, to work, or to hang out with my loved ones! Thank you Component team for making every visit a good one

Component Coffee Lab sits tucked behind the downtown buildings, the kind of spot you don't stumble…read moreinto by accident. You find it because someone told you about it, or because you were looking for a place that feels a little more city than Central Valley. Brick walls, hanging art, a patio out front call it rustic, call it urban, call it hipster. Whatever the word is, it fits. Inside, the place hums. Not the quiet hum of a sleepy café, but the full‑volume buzz of people who treat coffee shops like co‑working spaces. The whole back section was a sea of laptops when I walked in, a slow tide of remote workers drifting out as the hour passed. Young folks, older folks, groups talking over each other a mix that tells you this spot has become a kind of community hub, even if the noise makes it hard to read without noise‑canceling buds. I came for a simple moment, a London Fog and a book. The tea was good, made with Rishi, a brand I'd never heard of but wouldn't mind trying again. I sipped it slowly, trying to sink into the page, but the chatter kept pulling me back to the room. Not a bad thing, just not the right place for quiet reflection. Some cafés are built for solitude; this one is built for motion. The staff was friendly, your standard modern barista crew, casual, quick, and easygoing. They run a tight operation, even offering mobile orders, something you usually see in bigger industrial coffee spots. Pastries, sandwiches, teas, espresso, the menu covers all the bases. Finding the entrance was its own adventure. Two doors, a divider in the middle, and a moment of "Wait... which side do I go through?" Not a dealbreaker, just one of those quirks that makes you laugh once you figure it out. Lighting is interesting here, low lamps mixed with a flood of natural light pouring in from the center of the shop. It gives the place a warm‑meets‑industrial feel, like a café that grew out of a warehouse and decided to keep the personality. Will I come back? Maybe. It's a great spot for people‑watching, conversation, or getting work done. But for reading, for sinking into a book with a drink, it's a place that demands either silence from the world or silence from your earbuds. Component Coffee Lab is loud, lively, and loved, just not quiet. And maybe that's the point.

Their salted chocolate chip cookies are also pretty good especially when warmed up. I love that they have a small adjoining room that they host different small events. On different occasions I've seen a community games group there, looks fun. My only complaint with any local coffee shop in Bakersfield is the hours, I support local coffee shops, but finding good ones that are open later is difficult, but that's just a preference for me. I will return here because it's a great spot with heartfelt work, great service, and good coffee! You also have to check out their merch, I had to buy a hat here, they looked great! P.s. don't forget to sign up for their rewards program, it honestly feels like one of the best I've ever seen! You will not regret it!

It's pretty big overall and I just love that for the area. Got a cold brew, a short bread cookie matcha latte and a brown butter chocolate chip cookie. All were pretty great. The cookie was the best. Wasn't too sweet and I could taste everything they said was in it. Liked it quite a bit. Fiancé liked his cold brew as well, he was glad he got a large. Service was great! I finally decided to stop in with my 5 y/o son. The outside decor and ambiance were adorable and the merchandise had fun designs. Unfortunately, the interaction with the owner completely changed the experience. He seemed irritated from the moment I ordered a hot chocolate for my son, correcting me in a rude and dismissive tone that it was "hot cocoa" and annoyedly asking how many I wanted. I said one and then asked if they had a menu so I could see what type of coffee they offered. That simple question also seemed to frustrate him and he dismissively responded, "It's just coffee," while shaking his head. His overall tone came across as arrogant, annoyed, and dismissive over normal questions, which made the interaction uncomfortable. I was shocked by the attitude, especially from a business owner. Maybe he was having a bad day, and I do see many positive reviews, but I also noticed other reviews mentioning similar experiences with the owner. It's disappointing because we were really looking forward to trying this place. I ended up saying never mind and leaving. My son didn't understand why we walked out without getting what we came for and I explained that I didn't want to support a business where customers are treated rudely. I truly hope the owner is doing okay and is able to treat customers more respectfully in the future because it seems like there's a great product behind the business. Unfortunately, I never got the chance to try it.
