First time visiting Granby while spending a few days skiing near by. If you're looking for a low key place with high quality food, you've got to visit Maverick's Grille. Many at our table had the Bronco Burger - very good. Had the wings appetizer and the Jamaican Jerk sauce was killer. My buddy had the meatloaf - also very good. Service was great. On the positive side, the place seemed clean. When we got there, the restaurant was fairly empty and there was no hostess, but a sign indicating we should wait to be seated. After waiting several minutes, one of the servers finally seated us. Our server didn't know his menu and was unable to answer questions about the food. We got the hot ham & cheese with chips and the French dip with apples. The chips were undercooked and tough, not crispy, and way over salted. The French dip was mediocre at best. The ham and cheese was ok. We ordered dessert. The pecan pie was ok, nothing fantastic, but the brownie was awful. It tasted like a cardboard box. A little Debbie brownie would've been better. Another patron ordered rare steak and it was served well done. Overall, a very disappointing dining experience that we never intend on repeating. read more

Service was terrible. We were sitting for 10 minutes, and none even asked if we wanted water. It was evident that my husband's beer had been sitting as it was totally flat, no head. Came in here for dinner with some friends after a few failed attempts at other places being closed . For starters, the place was pretty packed and gave off a very touristy-vibe. However , after about 10-15 minutes we were seated at a table by the door and served our waters . We ordered the cheese fries as an appetizer ( they were by far the best part of the meal.) And for my main meal I ordered a Reuben sandwich which was also pretty good , but definitely overpriced . Arrived as they were opening. They have outdoor seating. The parking lot is big. It's in a busy Main Street with little stores all around. Upon walking waiting for a table one of the main waitresses was a bit rude. Very short in conversation and seemed agitated. Once we got seated our waitress for our table was very friendly knew a lot about the food in the menu. The food didn't take long it was delicious and the main thing that we loved about it was that it was a large quantity on your plate! They do have video games for the kiddos. The restaurant was clean. We arrived in Granby too early to check into our rental so we decided to find a place for lunch. The atmosphere is "homey" and the staff is very friendly! (My daughter who is always freezing appreciated being seated by the stove!) My younger daughter and I Me ruined that we would be splitting a plate and they split it for us in the kitchen without us even asking. The burgers were great! We had a Santa Fe burger and a Smokehouse burger. The house made chips were really good. The only thing I would say is that the prices were a bit higher than expected. read more

Maverick's is a must stop if you are in Granby. Whether you are a hunter, hiker, climber, or skier, this is an awesome casual spot with absolutely incredible food. My father in law lives in Granby and when I said I was craving a burger he immediately thought of Maverick's. I read that the green chili has won awards so of course I had to try it. I am more of a traditional red chili man myself but holy moly was the green chili good! I think that Maverick's has made me a convert to the green side, it had just the right amount of kick but the earthy flavor was incredible. I can see why this was award winning. For my main of course I had to have a burger but it was so hard to choose among the many choices. I finally went with the Bronco burger which had Double American cheese, bacon, and green chiles on top with ranch dressing and a deep fried jalapeno. OMFG! So good!! Although I absolutely loved my burger I have to say that my wife's trapper platter was my favorite. It was so unique with a game meatloaf and and elk sausage with 2 sides. A perfect Colorado mountain man meal. Overall this was one of my favorite meals in the mountains. I definitely will be back next ski season! read more

The food is amazing! After a morning of snow tubing, we decided to stop here for lunch. They didn't hold back! The salad was loaded with beets, goat cheese, walnuts, and chicken! Everything was just so good. The chicken fried steak was so tender - a rarity! Even the fresh green beans were so good, I was surprised! Initially, I was a little hesitant about going here because I had seen a number of reviews complaining about the service. Maybe they have change staff or it was just a super busy night but all I can say was our server was extremely friendly and pleasant. The food came out in a very reasonable amount of time. I want to give 2 stars but going to rate up because of pandemic (maybe). We went here to have a night out meal before we left town, 3 adults and 3 kids. We joked that we needed to try this Colorado dining experience and found out that meant sitting bar style all looking out the window not being able to enjoy each other's company. There were several excuses about being short staffed and it being busy. The green chile at Maverick's Grille is the BEST I have had in the state of Colorado hands down!!! The burger was cooked over an open flame and was very delicious. We were in town for some snowboarding at Granby Ranch so we stopped in to try Maverick's Grill and it was great! I had Billy's Chicken Club and my son had the Elk Sausage sub and they were both excellent! The fries were delicious and appeared to be home made. This review is for Conrad and Tamara, we came in close to closing time with about 30 min to spare I typically don't do this but we were starving and still had a long drive a head of us. We were seated and waited 15-20 min without being acknowledged by a server. Conrad (the chef) came out of the kitchen and we started talking and we asked if we were supposed order somewhere. He immediately took our order and I let him know I was celiac and he knew exactly what I needed (I'm so grateful when that happens!!)
