On this day the water flavour was orange with cinnamon (not really sounding all that good). I decided to try it anyways and was pleasantly surprised. I don't recommend the spicy sandwich but they do have other options that I've preferred. The hot of the afternoon was my peanut butter cookie, now that was delicious! High-end toddler play space!…read more I never thought I'd put the words high-end and toddler in the same sentence. It's so fitting. I've been listening to all the mommy hype about this place and it was all true. This place was amazing!! First and foremost - make a reservation for the play space! It's a must to get in. You can call your reservation in or place your reservation online. It's pricey. 8.95 per kids over the age of 1.....for an HOUR of play. Here's why the price is worth it. The space is impeccably clean. There are appointment times for play starting at 9AM. After each hour of play, the staff comes through for a full half hour and cleans up the space. When you show up for your appointment time your kids come into a perfectly clean and sanitized set up space. They can pretend to be a doctor! Or a teacher! Or they can shop for groceries, or cook in a diner! The spaces are amazing. The decor? I want the decorator to come to my house. The decor is trendy, kid friendly and modern. I felt like I was hanging out in someone's awesome house. The bathrooms were downright gorgeous and had change tables. So what to do while your kids run around? Eat and drink! This establishment offers VEGAN treats. My soy latte was on point. So was my vegan made-on-site-from-scratch cinnamon roll. My child ate a vegan cheese quesadilla. I never had vegan cheese until today. I ate more of the quesadilla than my child!! The food and drink are so amazing here. The best part - you don't need kids to enjoy this space. There is a cafe attached that requires no planning to attend. Just come and enjoy! Plenty of parking right out front. So, we will be back! My only critique is that for myself and my two children I spent close to 30 dollars for an hour of entertainment. But wow did I enjoy myself.

They said they limit the number of kids in the space and you have to pre-book your 60 minute time slot. 60 minutes flew by! And it felt like we didn't get quite enough time to explore and really appreciate all the little houses and details. But that must be the allure of going again! Our babies favourite activities at the playhouses were the slide and the little play restaurant. The slide was busy and tight quartered. But the little stairs and crash section at the bottom were well placed. The play restaurant was good great, they had all the condiments and so many cute plastic food items for a variety of kids to play with. I recall one kid yelling out 'Ice Cream, Ice Cream'. So fun! There was also costumes, a colouring station, suction building blocks, a wooden play body/operation table. The baby area also looked nice, cozy and with some great stimulating toys. It's a bit pricey and it's too bad it's only a 60 minute booking but in February they had a 1/2 price deal so for just under $5 I felt like that wasn't too bad to check it out. If you do get to check out the cafe I would recommend their signature blue Butterfly Pea latte- it was super sweet and creamy and delightful.

We don't really have vegan Poutine options here in Seattle (if you know of any, please do drop a note in the comments section letting me know where) so it's always a treat going to Canada and comparing the various Poutine options as pretty much every vegan place has their own take. If you haven't been to visit yet, you owe it to yourself to try them out. If you find yourself visiting Edmonton, make a point to visit Whyte Avenue and walk up and down the strip checking out all of the store and most definitely, including The Buckingham in your visit.
