In C-U, it is a hybrid of "going-out" clothing, cocktail dresses (for sorority/fraternity formals), and comfortable, yet fashionable sweaters. There is a great section of basics, including camisoles, leggings, etc. The sales associates are very helpful, but not overbearing. I feel as if they are honest about the way things look, and they give great recommendations for clothes without shamelessly upselling. The manager had Dad measured up in no time, found him a reasonably priced ITALIAN jacket -- so reasonably priced that I was able to spring for a good pair of all-season wool trousers. I had wasted my time at the other two stores. Kuhn's is old-school in terms of customer care -- meaning it is excellent. The style choices are up-to-date, however. Beautiful clothing. This store is worth a visit. You won't get this level of customer care elsewhere in Champaign-Urbana -- not in men's clothing anyway. Oh . . . if you want a pair of orange trousers -- almost jeans-like, they are so comfortable -- Kuhn's has them. For those of us who bleed Illini Orange and Blue, they are perfect. Bought them for myself.

Tyler said I could exchange for the correct size and asked if I remembered how I paid (the receipt didn't say) I didn't remember and asked him if I should look. He said no, and immediately put my refund on a gift card. What Tyler failed to tell me was that if we couldn't find my size, that I was stuck with the gift card. And that's exactly what happened. To make matters worse, the jeans I bought were at a 45% discount. So, if my size did come back, the regular price is $20+ more than what's on my gift card. None of this was explained to me. I wanted my money back bcuz I couldn't get the jeans I wanted. I called customer service and corporate many times and less than nothing was done. That was my first and last time dealing with Torrid, ever.
