Very small store; very limited inventory; very expensive. It's inside the mall, which, for me, makes it less accessible. Not worth the trip.

Great service. My husband found the shoes he was looking for. The sales associate was funny and interactive. We will be back.

On our first visit an employee who must of been newer in her position and a manager was one aisle over from us and the manager was obviously trying to show her authority as she was talking loud enough you could hear her from across the entire store. They both sounded as if they were high school girls looking to draw attention to themselves and customers could not even hear each other talk over them. Later on my mother and I returned to the store as my mother wanted to return a pair of the shoes she originally purchased, upon returning there were quite a few customer's in line waiting to check out with only one register opened. This same manager just kept grabbing the shoe boxes of the next customer and stacking them next in line for the one cashier to process once she was done checking out her current customer. I don't know why this manager did not open another register??? Then when my mother went to make her return this same manager returned my mother's monies that was originally paid for in cash towards my mother's mastercard. I have NEVER heard of a store EVER returning payment for an item to anything other than the original form of payment. When I called the manager out on this, she advised that the return had already been made and she could not undo the return. Neither my mother nor myself will ever shoe here again or recommend it to anyone. This manager needs to be put in her place!!!!

First off, comfort is GREAT! My feet have NOT been killing me since Day One with these work boots…read more But the rest of my review leads into a very strong word of caution with your $200+ dollars in the trash. So, really, 4 stars for the initial purchase since they did not have the most common shoe size in stock. 5 stars for the comfort up to this point. The rest of this review drops it down significantly due to support......... Even though the store clerk lady admitted that 10.5 is the most common size, of course, there were no boots in stock for a particular style that I wanted which meant special ordering my boots. I picked them up about January 20th, 2018. I noticed on February 13th, 2018, that the footbed inserts were separating. For $230 work boots, this was just unacceptable to have poor workmanship fall apart in under 30 days of owning supposedly top-tier work boots. So I called that evening and a guy answered the phone and said sure, no problem, bring in your old ones and everything is warrantied and covered for 6 months after your purchase. So I brought them in last night (Feb. 14th about 7pm) and the lady store clerk was working again. Instead of a simple warranty swap, I received a verbal warning that footbed inserts are not covered under warranty and that this would be a one-time inserts exchange only. Feeling a little defeated from a place that specializes in WORK boots and I do in fact work for a living, after my visit, I was curious as to what the warranty was. I was surprised and totally defeated to find this line in their fine print "Product failures caused by excessive or abusive wear conditions, or if worn for occupational purposes, do not qualify for exchange or purchase credit." Bottom line, since I use my WORK boots for my occupation, a company that specializes in WORK boots do not have any warranty when you use them for WORK. Well-played Red Wing, you got me. Shame on me this time.

My five-star rating applies to Red Wing as a shoe repair store, since I've never purchased shoes…read morefrom them. For repair, though, these guys are TOP NOTCH. After reading how awful some of the other repair places are in town (JJ's has pretty bad reviews, Heel-to-Toe doesn't do zipper repair), I called these guys two weeks before Christmas break to see if they could fix two pairs of boots last minute. They were the only place in town who said they could get both pairs done in that two-week window. They quoted me incredibly reasonable prices ($10 to replace/rebuild heels on a pair of boots, $20 to replace a zipper on another boot), and gave me time to consider the repair cost before taking the shoes. The two staff members I dealt with were both friendly and knowledgeable. The heel repair took less than a week, and the zipper took about a week and a half (because the zipper had to be ordered). They called my cell the day both were done, charged me the quoted price (no tax!), and the boots both look great. The new zipper matches the old one perfectly, is well-stitched, and blends perfectly into the boot. The new heels were stained to match the boots, have great durable soles, and seem like they will last for ages. Definitely worth the cost of repair instead of tossing these babies out. So if you want to have your shoes fixed affordably, in a reasonable time frame, and without any stress to you, this is the place to do it.

Store review: Wow there are some terrible reviews here, but…read morewhen you look at the surrounding competition this is not that bad. Sure the store is a lot smaller than other macy's sure the selection is not as trendy as other locations, but there are still great sales to be found at this location. I am surprised that this location is two stores which even includes a small furniture selection which is very limited. The only upside is at least there is a macy considering there are not really any other big department stores except for bergner in this mall. The one downside is as other people indicated store staff is super super slow. It took close to 10 minutes to check out with only 1 person in line ahead of us. This is rather disappointing, but what can you do. Pros: some macy discount items are heavily discounted at the end of season Cons: super slow staff, small inventory Hidden deals: 1. Sign up for a macy's card to get the mailer with coupons. 2. Look in the sunday paper for wow pass 3. Use your macy card for additional savings sometimes up to 20% off

I have been a shopper and also consignor at Karen's for probably about 10 years now. I'd give a…read morefull 5 stars if only reviewing for the consigning experience, so I'll start there: Consignment Experience: I generally do pretty well selling items here. While the payoff is not immediate, you get a lot more money than selling things at places like Platos Closet, which offer comically low amounts for gently worn clothes, then turn around and sell them for nearly full price. However, it takes a bit of work, so I think it's really only worth it to bring in 30 items at a time (this is the max you can bring in without an appointment). I now live in Chicago but still have family in the area and continue to bring my clothes here because I trust the business. They have never screwed me over payment and I feel they are honest with what is sold versus not sold and then donated. Here are my tips for bringing in items: -First and foremost, items must be on hangers when you bring them in! They won't go through your stuff if it's not hung up. -Like I mentioned, you need an appointment if you have over 30 items (shoes, accessories, etc included!). Don't be a jerk - it takes them a while to go through and many people bring things in on weekends, so stick to the rules. -Make sure items are CLEAN and WRINKLE FREE. I usually inspect and steam anything I'm bringing in. This takes time, so it's another reason I wait to go until I have a lot of stuff piled up. They will NOT take wrinkled clothes. -If you bring shoes, make sure they are clean on the outside AND the inside. I have had shoes turned away for dark marks on the insoles. If you clean them out they will still take gently used shoes. -Only bring in items that are in season. They start to take winter stuff in like October, and spring stuff maybe in March. Call before to be sure before you lug anything in. -They will take some older styled things, but usually only if they are designer. I wouldn't really bother with vintage or something more than 2-3 years old unless designer. -They usually take career wear (blazers, skirts, pants, oxfords, etc) any time of year, but I have had some trouble selling career dresses in the winter (even though they go with tights). -In the past couple of years my experience has been they do not take destroyed denim or anything other than skinny fit jeans. Double check before you take denim in. -Sometimes, if one associate does not take your items, you can bring it in when another is working and they may take it. My mom swears by this but I don't care to waste my time! Chances are, if they pass the first time, no one will buy it anyway. -If you want your items back at the end of the consigning period, make sure to let them know, otherwise they will get donated. For the shopping experience, I'd give Karen's 3 stars (hence the 4 star average). While I do think you can find some good deals, especially when they have sidewalk sales, a lot of the items I find here are marked too high for a second hand shop. If I can go to a 'mall store' and get the item brand new for only $5-10 more, chances are I'm going to do that. Also, while they have gotten better about organization in the past couple of years with the expansion, it really is hard to find the good stuff with the way the store is laid out. You have to sort through a lot of 'why would they even take this' to find anything worth trying on. I've found a couple of good deals here items, but normally I just shop around to busy myself while they look at the clothes I bring in.

Lots of selection and different sizes and styles. The workers were kind. I found a few higher end…read morebrands for decent price. Some things can be overpriced though!
