Carol the owner was wonderful to work with. I am a plus size gal, and she did everything possible to make sure I was comfortable. I never questioned her ability and she was never rude. The other big name shop is more convenient, but the drive to Roberta's was worth it.

She was extremely rude, would not permit me to look around blocking me physically, and literally bullied me into leaving. She said she had decided to make appointments, and I did not have one, but nowhere on her website is that stated. Another woman and 2 friends were there, and I assumed I would wait until they were done, but she took me aside to see my insurance and empathically told me she could not take my insurance. I was stunned at her rudeness and the nasty things she was whispering to me all the while with a "smile" on her face (like "how dare you come into my business asking questions") smiling all the time so the other customers could not hear her. I was stunned silent listening to her abuse. I intended to pay for what she offered without insurance. She would not even allow me to look at the prosthetic devices. Who runs a business like that that requires a soft touch for women coming into seek help when a little extra softness is hoped for during a terrible time in our lives? I think it may be time for her to retire and let someone with a heart take over. Horrible experience and was totally unnecessary.

This led us to the nearby Ziena Boutique storefront. We went inside and explored what turned out to be an upscale women's clothing store that seems to specialize in trendy smart-casual styles. Ziena has jeans, blouses, dusters, necklaces, permanent jewelry, sparkly custom patches that can be placed on clothing or cosmetic bags, and more. I expected the prices to be high, but I was pleasantly surprised that they were reasonable. I bought a duster-style button-down shirt that looks great over short jeans and a tank, and it was only $45. I have already told several friends that they need to stop by this place. I'll be back!

A simple change like that, totally improved the flow of the entire store. Whenever I need gifts for my female family members and BFF's, I know I can find something at White Birch. They've got everything a person needs for entertaining. I have to control myself when shopping, because I want to buy something for myself. I love Nora Fleming and I'm always tempted to buy the newest items. I like that they have locally branded items. They'll offer locally themed tea towels with both. Alton and Godfrey printed on them. Another one of my favorite things to purchase here are; cocktail napkins and greeting cards. They've got some of the wittiest cards and the napkins make me laugh, too. They also have a fashion boutique for the ladies. A couple of my family members have bought items and have looked very stylish. On occasion, WB will have a few mens shirts and I've bought them and constantly get compliments, when I wear them. The service is very personalized and when you become a regular, they'll remember your name.
