Phone call after phone call and not Once has he returned a call back. When I finally got though to the father LOU He keeps coming up with excuses Why he hasn't got back to us. He then asked us to get someone else and blew My mother off. Before he even took on My mothers job he stopped by my house. He seen how his concrete flaked and parts collapsed and snapped. Once again same routine. Promised he was going to fix all the repairs FREE of charge so he says. We told him we were having a party and if possible could he fix it before the party. The Typical NP yes come on you know us Crap. The party came and went NO SHOW from the father and son duo. Multiple calls to him, NOTHING BACK not even a courtesy call to me giving his typical Line of garbage he spues. Now that he Screwed My mother and wasted her time and Mine I will NEVER use this Father and SON duo again and would NEVER recommend them to a friend and or Enemy for that matter. Seems in today's day and age most business people just don't care about the people. They really do feel like it is OUR privilege to have them work. Never again these to people are not good business men at all. NO DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL, NOOOOOO

There was also an uneven slab of concrete beyond the porch line that needed to be removed. We were so delighted to find SJM Tile and Masonry who were able to complete both jobs at the same! This kept costs down for us and made the process much more straightforward. From the first time I reached out, Dana made me feel like we were in great hands. Patient, understanding, happy to answer any question, and always quick to respond. Shawn and his team were also fantastic to work with. Shawn gave us advice on the right kind of tile and what would be needed for installation to be a long term success, and was thoughtful and very knowledgeable. Though a fairly small job for them, it was a big deal to us, and every step of the way we felt like they were also thoughtful as to how tile choice, grout choice, etc. would impact the appearance of our property. We couldn't be happier with the experience and absolutely love the transformation. The work they did looks amazing and we're so pleased we found them! We will definitely rely on them for any future tiling job in our home!

Anthony also threw in extra lights we definitely needed for our basement which was awesome of him. Our basement came out amazing btw. Even though the logs were treated, they began to rot over time. Anthony suggested using bluestones and cinder blocks, finishing with traditional stucco. I agreed and a few days later, four guys came and did an AMAZING job! The men were professional and experienced workers. They removed all the debris when they finished. It only took them two days to do the job, despite experiencing unfavorable weather. Everything was done very efficiently - from the time when Anthony came with his son to measure my driveway, to the finished work - the timeframe was only a week. All in all, Anthony delivered as promised and the outcome was better than I expected. The new retaining walls greatly improved the way my driveway looks! While I was very pleased with the work, I was going to deduct one star from my review because Anthony took the guys away for several hours for another job on the first day. But everything did finished on time, so there was no delay whatsoever. His pricing was competitive with the other contractors I called. I put the down pay with my credit card, and the rest with a personal check when the job was finished. VAR Home Improvements Inc has license in both Nassau and Suffolk County, among others.
