Then I finally messaged var on fb aka Anthony. Anthony was here the next day to give an estimate to fix our nightmare. It was like night & day between contractors. Even though the logs were treated, they began to rot over time. Anthony suggested using bluestones and cinder blocks, finishing with traditional stucco. I agreed and a few days later, four guys came and did an AMAZING job! The men were professional and experienced workers. They removed all the debris when they finished. It only took them two days to do the job, despite experiencing unfavorable weather. Everything was done very efficiently - from the time when Anthony came with his son to measure my driveway, to the finished work - the timeframe was only a week. All in all, Anthony delivered as promised and the outcome was better than I expected. The new retaining walls greatly improved the way my driveway looks! While I was very pleased with the work, I was going to deduct one star from my review because Anthony took the guys away for several hours for another job on the first day. But everything did finished on time, so there was no delay whatsoever. His pricing was competitive with the other contractors I called. I put the down pay with my credit card, and the rest with a personal check when the job was finished. VAR Home Improvements Inc has license in both Nassau and Suffolk County, among others.

After agreement to do the work, they were flexible with the schedule and provided several options with dates, including Saturday.
