That was just the sweetest way to handle an elderly client. He was patient and kind and I just wanted everyone to know how amazing Bryce was. They ran diagnostics beforehand and, according to their own system, there were no other issues. I was told it would take about 24 hours; instead, they kept it for over a week. When I picked it up, the battery was very low. I quickly opened several files to make sure everything was there, and it appeared to be. When I tried to shut it down, it wasn't responding, but I was in a hurry and assumed it had frozen because I had opened several things at once. A few days later, I charged it and turned it on. It could no longer find an installed operating system. I was in complete shock. This computer had NEVER had a technical issue other than the battery. I took it back the next day. When I returned, they said it was "fixed." Then I asked if my files were still there, and the employee's expression immediately changed. They were ALL GONE. Instead of explaining exactly what they had done, I got theories: maybe a power issue at my house, maybe some hidden problem they hadn't detected -- despite their own initial diagnostics showing no other problems. The facts are simple: I brought them a functioning computer for a battery replacement. After their service, it couldn't find an operating system. I brought it back, the system was reinstalled, and years of my files were gone. I NEVER authorized them to erase my computer or perform any procedure that would delete my data. Worst of all, they never took responsibility, never clearly explained what procedures they performed, and NEVER even offered to attempt data recovery. I lost years of business files, projects, documents, programs, and work that cannot be recreated. Yes, I should have had a backup, and I deeply regret that. But not having a backup does NOT give a repair shop permission to erase a customer's computer without authorization. Months later, I am still discovering things I lost because of this experience. I would never trust Mac Made Easy with another computer. BACK UP EVERYTHING before leaving your computer here and get in writing exactly what they are authorized to do with it.

He had an amazing adapter. There's a slide on the side to adjust the voltage from 12 to 24 volts. My computer runs on 20 volts. But wait, that's not all. There are 34 attachments available, all of which come with the adapter. If you can't run your computer with one of those, then you might have a Mac.
