We called a day later, asking if it's ready, and they told us to get it. We later find out that they never repaired it, telling us that we "cancelled" or said no to the repair. i just recently had my screen repaired at there location in the mall. Within 2 weeks the screen went black and would not function. I went and asked if they would fix the issue obviously they did something wrong and the lady said that it's too late already. 2 weeks! really? a screen repair should last much longer then 2 weeks. I went to Maui cellphone repair off dairy road and they fixed my phone and told me that ICELL Hawaii installed a defective screen! The moment I walked in I was in awww of this place they had so many accessories and everything you could ask for for a phone. The pretty lady was helping another customer but then asked what I would be needing help with. I told her that I had problems with hearing the other caller on the other end of my phone. She said okay she could clean it out or take it apart and look at it. I didn't want her to take it part it would cost over 100 bucks. But we decided to let her look at it. So she said give her 45 minutes then come back. Well we'll well the time went by and then we returned to the store and boom my phone was fixed it didn't cost me anything. So i tipped her. Boy were we happy. More we can hear people as we talk. She said there was like glue in my speaker or something that she took out! We needed to fix the screen of a phone that had been cracked. There was information on it that we couldn't retrieve even after hours on the phone with Google. Our only option was to repair the phone. We called and spoke with someone who let us know that they could replace the screen. They didn't have the part on hand (since it was for a Motorola) but assured us they could order it. Some businesses told us they only fixed iPhones and Samsungs so we were happy to find a place that could do it. We needed to put down a deposit, but within days the part arrived. We received a call from Abdul on New Year's Day and within a couple hours we had a fixed and functioning phone. They were fast, polite and reliable. TLDR: great customer service here. Would recommend people to come here and get their screen replaced In late December 2022 I shattered my phone screen and came to iCell Hawaii to get it replaced. The woman at the front desk took my iPhone 11 Pro Max and replaced the screen within an hour. I was satisfied with my new non-cracked screen and left Since December 2022 I've had some problems with the phone's screen periodically freezing while using so I reached out to management via email. Since I was no longer on island they helped me to hard-reset my phone and that seemed to solve the issue I've had to hard reset my phone several times between December 2022 and March 2023, something I've never had to do prior to getting my screen replaced. I happened to be in Maui in March 2023 so I went into the store and a man working the front desk happily replaced my screen for free since it was still under warranty. He also included a screen protector since the old screen they replaced had one on it. Overall, the customer service at this location has been exceptional. I would not recommend this place to anyone. There cell phone repair leaves much to be desired. Their repair service is unprofessional and the cell parts and materials they use are questionable. My cell phone had just been repaired a couple days ago and the inner LED screen on my Google Pixel 3a has now cracked underneath a perfectly uncracked top screen. When I came back to address the issue, the manager of this (strip mall) cell phone repair store was defensive and offered no other solution than to pay another $200 to fix it. Great speedy service. Excellent. As iCell Hawaii is in the Kaahumanu Mall hallway by Sears (soon to be gone), they are open on Sundays. How convenient. I called ahead and they said it would be a 30-minute turn around on my neighbor's iPhone 6s battery replacement. $65.00. I walk in give them the phone, and sure enough, 30 minutes later I received a call that it was done. -I came back and he showed me the old battery he replaced. I know you skeptics are thinking that it could be any battery. but I had checked the battery by going to Settings-Battery-Battery Health: Maximum Capacity. Sure enough it was now at 100% vs 80% before I brought it in. I am not totally surprised by some of the negative ratings. Don't let them scare you off. My Dad and I were in the electronic service business before cell phones... yes, I am that old. When I started it was before transistors and printed circuit boards, just glass vacuum tubes in TVs in the 1970s. :) But even though we gave excellent service there was always someone complaining. Like why did you charge for an estimate? or can't you just look at it for free? etc. Well even if it just takes minutes to diagnose something, it took years of experience to get there, thousands of dollars in parts to have in stock, rent, insurance, etc. I will be recommending iCell to my friends and gladly returning there with my future business. read more

I don't recommend them. Customer Service was horrible. We had an iPad with a cracked screen that we were looking to get repaired instead of buying a new one. We went in and they quoted us and gave us a 2 day turn around. Perfect we paid them upfront. Then an hour or two later we get a call and David says that he doesn't have the black for the iPad and if white is okay. As we told them we don't want white we want black. So he said he needed to order it and it would take a week. Frustrated of the turn around time there was nothing we could do. After the week my other half ended up just showing up to the store cause it took longer than expected. They were saying because holidays Covid, etc. when he got there they said they finishing the iPad and will be ready in an hour. So he stalled time at the mall to just end up getting someone else's iPad!! Wasting our time so frustrating. He said that they are about to close and if he could come back tomorrow. We then get a call that our button on our Home Screen is broken cause of a connection. Mind you the button was fine when we took it in. Just the screen was damage pretty badly but everything worked fine. He said that if we want he can order a part to fix and due to the inconvenience he wouldn't charge us but would be another week. A week went by and he said that he tried but the button is still broken and there was nothing more he could do. It's been about couple weeks since we had the iPad and all we have had was issues. The iPad acts up glitches a lot, when typing a letter it puts like 3 or 5. Turns off and on randomly. I just get so frustrated using it that we just turn the whole thing off. Just in all doesn't seem as if they have their shit together or know what they doing. Telling us one thing then next it's different how 2 days turned into 2 1/2 weeks. The price point of $115 versus Sprint's $300 quote was what first sold me on getting my cracked iPhone screen repaired and the second item was the personality and pleasant customer service of Crystal, who was patient, detailed and confident as she fixed the phone. She fixed my phone in about thirty minutes. The phone worked like a charm afterward with no problems. She had a smart answer for my husband's joke that the screen broke because I threw the phone at him. She said, "Well, why didn't you stay in your lane?". She mentioned she had been at work for several hours already, and it was now closing but she was completely calm and professional. She even recommended a certain phone case for my phone although it was closing time for the store. Good salespeople have informed opinion and she had a firm opinion about one phone case versus another popular one. Good salespeople want to fit the right product to the right customer. [Some people don't like 'sales' people because of their own bad experiences but 'bad' salespeople are salespeople who don't care about their customer or their products. There IS a difference.] Some other places the employees are so hot to leave for home that you can't get a smile at ten minutes before closing. Yet Crystal had a bright smile and funny jokes. She's definitely a star employee. She should be promoted to store manager so she can model for others how to treat customers and how to make everyone who enters the store feel like they are welcomed and appreciated. Crystal's manners and customer service skills were so remarkably nice and polished that even if the store doesn't promote her, some other smart company will see this great employee and steal her... and hopefully offer her a well-paying position! read more

Bought a s22 ultra phone case. It broke two weeks after. But they replaced it no question asked

iCell is located in the Queen Kaahumanu Center, lower level near Sears. On top of doing repairs, they also sell a nice selection of accessories. My spouse seems to have been satisfied with the workmanship here. Brought in were an iPhone 5c and iPhone 6s Plus, both with cracked screens. Repair cost was about $80 for the 5c and $137 for the 6s Plus which took about an hour to complete. Service was good and the devices worked about almost up to par but the 6s Plus would freeze up every once in a while, even after restarting and with up-to-date software. I guess you can't expect a device to work at full capacity after damage like that. But, rest its soul as its been replaced by a beautiful iPhone X! OVERALL: Recommended over competitor Mobile Remedies where we had a not so good experience a few years ago. read more

THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EXPERIENCED! I went into Icell to get my galaxy s6 fixed, it had a cracked screen and the screen was turning off. That was the only problem with my phone, so I was hoping to find a way to fix the screen instead of having to buy a new phone entirely. You claimed it was like "a brand new phone". That was definitely not the case; ever since, my phone has started to overheat, shut off constantly, and I lose service and connection to WIFI. The first time I came back to fix the problem with the "new phone", you claimed it could possibly be the charger I was using, than the 2nd time I came back in to get it fixed AGAIN you claimed I probably had a junk battery needing to be replaced. My battery was barely over a year old, but I got the new one and that didn't help one bit either. I have had to return 4 TIMES, and every time I did I repeated that my phone was having the same exact issues. Also refusing to give me a refund on the battery which I got 22days ago, or the "new" phone itself, I have paid almost $600. If you are a phone repair store than you should be fixing the problems, not CAUSING them. With a business model like that, I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't last much longer. I do love the friendliness of the person welcoming me into the store. However, I just feel a bit inconvenient about the main service. I love that the person offered me to install the screen protector for my phone. But I suggest to show me the product first before installing it. Trust is trust. But I think it's integrity when you can show the product first before putting it on the phone. Because after that, I would not know which one exactly you installed. Then, I can only assume you would have installed the type of protector that I requested. Overall, it's a decent service. Bought a case and tempered glass from here for my grandpa's phone. He phone ended up dropping from the roof, when he was helping the direct tv guy. Tempered glass broke, like it's supppsed to, instead of the actual phone screen, but other than that everything was fine. This was the rudest and most unprofessional treatment I've ever witnessed in the years I've been here on Maui. My girlfriend needed a battery for an older phone and was referred to iCell by Verizon...she paid the $50 and waited 5 days...when we went to pick up the battery, the man behind the counter would not give her a receipt or any warranty just a rude NO when asked for them. What does this company think they are getting by this sort of "customer service"? I think this may be the first bad review I've ever left but I am highly disappointed. I first purchased a a double usb car charger and it didn't work. I was on the other side of the island so I had to get another one from somewhere else. I returned a couple days later and no returns allowed, even on defective items. I didn't need anything but decided to get an extra cord instead of wasting the money. Well it's the next day and guess what, the cord doesn't work. I'm not sure if the quality is crap or just a crazy coincidence. Either way a no return policy on defective items is bullshit. Not to mention the unapologetic staff.
